MIRACLES happen .. I am back ...back on line and typing this on Mac Lappy. Don't ask how. I did a lot of clicking and now at least I am connected to the world wide web again.*mwaaah* thank you thank you thank you to all and everything responsible for re-connection. I am grateful

The desktop, screen picture I had has disappeared .. gone and so have so has the Stellarium application and I can't open " Pages " to write a document or read existing documents. Most peculiar.

Gremlins have attacked mac lappy and I am without Internet .. the prof is away for 2 weeks .. arghhhhhhhh.....

I am trying to stay peaceful .. harmony ... OMmmmmmmmmmmmm lol

Riddarholmen is one of my favourite places in Stocholm, a little  island in the oldest part of Stockholm,right  next to the Old Town , Gamla Stan. This is where the first Kings and Queens lie buried in the crypt of Riddarholm Church. Riddarholmskyrkan

240 tons of iron went into the  iron spire of this church replacing the wooden spire that burnt down in a fire.

A little steamer was waiting there as i arrived

and a few minutes later left for Södertälje , a town on the outskirts of Stockholm . This boat also goes to the Viking Island of Birka , well worth a visit.

Today there was a lot of filming and photograping going on . A wedding , two models and a shooting of a commercial that in volved a girl on a crane throwing out papers over another girl holding a black umbrella .

It didn't rain , but now it is cool and cloudy; the end of a hot spell

Thunder , rumblings , cold air and temperatures falling dramatically as our heatwave breaks. Smell of static in the air. Rain bucketing down. Magnificent goings on outside ! I hope the greasy pavements are well and truly washed.

Indoors, my hibiscus plant is blooming ; the one I nearly drowned It's still not well though, yellow leaves are not a good sign. Poor thing. Can't repot while it's blooming, can I ? Hmmmm

29C today . Hot and sunny. Kitchen and livingroom windows are open and a sudden breeze just blew the kitchen door shut with a great big SLAM

I'm done laundry as it has to be done.Next laundry time booked for 10 July.

I've broken my 36 hour juice - fast by starting to nibble on oat cakes around 10:30 this morning and now I am contemplating having a boiled egg.I'm not desperate for food ... decisions,decisions .......

Drinking gallons of water and it's flushing right through me ; I'm feeling quite light headed Can you get drunk on water ? Can you over do it ? I've heard that 3 litres a day is what one should be aiming at - that's 10 of my big glasses ( 10x 300ml )

I remember going for an X ray once and being told to drink a whole jug full of water - it must have been over a litre - while waiting. I think it was water- it didn't taste of anything.

Snored through my acupuncture session, needles everywhere. She added a few more this time as she will be on holiday for a month Yes - most of Sweden is on holiday in July.

Before the session , I popped in to see my neighbour , Elizabeth. Baby Franz is now just over 2 months old and a strudy happy little soul he is too. Looks like a little Buddha. He laughed and 'spoke' to me in babby talk and I was allowed to hold him. He kept wanting to stand up !!! Very strong he is... all muscle .

Also met one of the older neighbours, Kjell who was sitting on a bench outside the house. His wife had died suddenly in hospital two days before Elizabeth's baby was born. He was still sad and sounded fragile and confused.

After the acupuncture I wandered down to the main street in Sundbyberg where I met another neighbour, who complained about the heat a lot , but apart from that was fine. She and a friend were going to go driving around Sweden for their holidays.

Back home now and I'm feeling just a wee bit faint. I have decided to juice - fast today to give my stomach a bit of a rest and .. it is NOT easy. I am craving bread..rice .. potatoes .... proper food I can get my teeth into. Will try and hold out until tomorrow ...

Mornin' all ... I'm up  bright and early. We've had a spot of rain , I see - the rooftops are wet and the air is full of fragrances released from captivity. A cool 19 C after yesterday's 27C. Actually, we could do with a great big downpour to wash the s dirty greasy pavements. Al fresco eating and eateries tend to leave behind a mess that noone will take responsibility for and it all gets quite icky and nasty in the heat.

The Universe

Morning , blogland Mira's blogging from maclappy on the kitchen table today, wrapped in sarong as heatwave continues Bliss. I love the heat and the sun - makes such a difference to overall well- being. Simply cannot stress when it is hot. Pace of life is slower- you make it slower cos you simply can't be bothered to move faster.

I so VALUE my free time, and being able to live laugh and laugh and love in the rhythm of my soul. Precious. Tons of gratitude for that.

The downside of this is, of course lack of funds and having to constantly think of new , pleasurable and easy ways to make ends meet. Necessity IS the mother of invention. In many ways , I think it has forced and encouraged me to find creative solutions to problems, like making a dress for the wedding and finding comfy shoes for 10 pounds in the market as well as gorgeous Pakistani shawl for 8 pounds ( or was it 5 ? ) from the market in Bradford.

I was so inspired by blue2pink post about camping out in cave, fishing and grilling fish for supper , and enjoying nature one- to- one.*respect*

Sometimes I would love to just walk into a shop , Pretty Woman style and have someone find me the perfect outfit, but then, it probably wouldn't be me. What would happen to the hippy chic ?

There are basics that I hope I will always have:
Freedom
A sense of well- being
Friends
beautiful surroundings; being able to see beauty in things
Comfy bed and home
Clean, hot and cold running water on tap
Food
Internet or pen and paper
clothes and comfy footwear

What are your basics ? your absolute essentials ?

The Prof dropped by this lunchtime wiuth a huge bag of rhubarb from a friend's garden. It is now crumble - well some of it is at least - and the rest is in the freezer, in pie size portions for future use.

Stayed in all day even though it was a brilliant hot and sunny day - close to home is best when having the trots - and besides , I had lots of difficult phone calls to make as well as filing of papers and paying of bills. has to be done and I am so grateful every time there is enough in the kitty to pay them.

A very tired  Gunilla dropped by after a hard day's work so we had a Greek salad and rhubarb crumble . G. had a glass of wine , I didn't dare risk it .

Anna-Stna phoned and said she had an upset tum !! Nothing to do with me as we have not met since the beginning of the month. Could it be a bug doing its rounds  ?
Also spent  ages attaching wedding photos to  emails for my sister. G mail was having tech difficulties, which was annoying. but it's done now

An upset tummy.
Fine all day , which is just as well since it is no fun looking for loos in the middle of nowhere.

Had homemade bread and coffee this morning.Coffee is unusual for me - could be that as I normally have green tea

But .. I took a snack with me - bread brie and tomato sarnie

Was fine until I got home around 7pm and then it started. Have been rushing back and forth to the loo.

It's been hot and sunny , 27C so ...it could well be the brie bacteria

Green tea from now on

I used to have a good pair of legs, millions of years agp. These days , they do their best and I luvs em , but they are hardly what I would call beautiful .

Today , shorts on , legs all white from the winter exposed to the sun , off I trot.Ferry to Djurgården to walk and find a nice place in the sun.

Walk and walk , and stop ; stone in my ecco sandals.Always happens on gravel paths.Then walk a bit more. I ended up at the Baltic , at Blockhusudden :) It's nice there - the water is just that bit wilder; there are waves and often a hearty breeze.

Passed a pair of swans and cygnets, noticed the beautiful wild flowers and watched a bungy jump across the water while snacking on oat cakes , salad and brie that I'd brought with me.

Back home, Bruno, my neighbour , invites me for a drink on the balcony. Shower first says I. ( There are shared balconies on each floor.) When I return the balcony is empty. I grab a glass of the last of my white wine , ice and splash of kir and go and sit on the balcony. Bruno returns just as I finish my drink and insists he get me a black russian and vodka ... not too strong ... I add :)).. handing over my glass with remaining ice cubes.

It was quite a stiff drink and an pleasant chat. Nice chap , our Bruno . ;) Got to see his flat and he got to see mine AND was also filled in on the whos who in our building, and warned about the lady below me who complains and leaves notes and the nice latin guy , whose girlfriend apparently has loud orgasms ;) :)) well there you have it ...lol.... a pleasant summer's evening.

Food now .. I'm ravenous ! TTFN

Perhaps you know the feeling - a cocktail of feelings- wordless thoughts simmering under the surface. Sadness,worry, nagging wordless thoughts that are forming the feeling.

Yesterday, I sat with my feelings and wordless thoughts in the sun on Riddarholmen , gazing out over the water watching the sunlight scatter bright diamonds on the surface of water and the words of a TUT message... or similar ... a message from the Universe came to mind.

" ask for what you want... you have to name it to claim it "

"Right then , Universe , I need your help" says I , and in the moments that followed I put into words as best I could what the problem was and what I wanted help with.

Literally, seconds later , a ladybird landed on my hand and stayed there , crawling over my fingers for a while until it flew away.

This morning I googled ladybird and the message was so comforting

harbingers of good luck and good fortune and one of the best friends a gardener can have!

Ladybird reminds us that even something that seems quite small and unable to do much can be a true powerhouse in disguise! So have patience and trust that what has appeared for you is truly the help and support you have prayed for.

As with all predators, there is always someone higher up the food chain that wants to eat them. The Ladybird gets round this by emitting a chemical through its legs that smells and tastes horrid, which soon puts the potential predator off the idea of a nice Ladybird meal! So too can Ladybird medicine teach us how to emit our own "foul scent" or energy that warns others off who do not have our best interests at heart. For people who feel they are "victims" in life, Ladybird can help them to understand how they are creating being a "victim" through their unwillingness to assert by letting others know in no uncertain terms that they are not willing to be taken advantage of!

Ladybird people will also do well to make sure they have time for what ever spiritual practices most appeal to them. There are strong associations between the Ladybird and The Divine, and thus these folks need to allow themselves the time and space that is required to affirm their connection with The Universe. It really is true that the more one focuses on the spiritual, the better every area of life tends to flow. We cannot immerse ourselves in the spiritual without elevating our vibrations and as that happens, so too does life become more easy, joyful and positive.

Some things to watch for when Ladybird appears:

It is important to ask yourself if there are pests in your own life that need to be dealt with now before the damage that may be happening becomes too extensive to be repaired easily, if at all. Ladybird kept popping up for me during a time when I knew I was pushing myself much too hard doing things I knew were not really in my best interests. Unfortunately I chose to ignore the message and ended up doing physical damage to myself that took some time to heal.

Now is a good time to examine your own beliefs in regards to Good Luck and Good Fortune. British psychologist Dr. Richard Wiseman has written a brilliant book called The Luck Factor which explains how people really can and do create their own luck and how even people who feel they are unlucky can alter this and experience good luck as well.

Its time to "Let Go and Let God". If you have been trying to manifest something and nothing much is happening with it, it may well be that its time to simply turn it over to the Universe. Here again, its a matter of knowing what action to take and when, and that sometimes just being in the present moment and finding joy there can be the best sort of action to take of all.

When Ladybird appears there is often an increase in prosperity and abundance. Money and other resources tend to flow more easily at this time and the amount of flow truly is often dependant on what you really feel you are worthy of and are able to allow yourself to accept. It may also be that you need to be more protective of your resources at this time, to pay closer attention to where your money is going and if these things are truly enhancing your life.

I've given up trying to catch up with a week's comments, messages and blogs. I'm sorry , please forgive me, I love you ! While reading through comments and personal messages I discovered that one of my blog friends has felt the need to delete her blog and leave. Sad sad sad. I shall miss her and her posts. Bless. I'm also sad that Michael Jackson is gone. Bless his soul. He was a great and talented artist and performer I liked his music and admire his generosity of spirit. He suffered a lot, I think.

Today , like any other day , don't worry , be happy.

I intend to enjoy myself this summer;
I am going to try and forget the 'shoulds' and 'musts' and be silly from time to time.

It's been a lovely hot and sunny day and I finally got out this afternoon to enjoy a wee adventure. Stepping out of my front door and walking down to Slussen and then taking the ferry over to Grönalund where I paused to watch the 'vertical drop' and listen to the screams made by people whose gizzards have suddenly crept up into their throats by the sudden drop and fall.

Found a lovely spot on the jetty near WaldermarsUdde, soaked up sun, watched the Viking Line ferry pass on its way to Finland via the Archepelago, daydreamed, reflected, wrote a bit , and ate the half frozen mushroom oven pancake I'd brought along which , despite the heat, hadn't quite manage to thaw, but was tasty and refreshing

Bus 47 back into town and then home on the train. It's still warm. A lovely balmy summer's day.

after midnight last night and I need a holiday now. Hundreds of emails and a to-do list a mile long.

Did laundry this morning *checks off one item*

Yesterday was a very long day. Accompanied mum to her doctor's appointment in the morning taking luggage with me not knowing how long things would take. You often have to wait for ages and with my bus to Manchester Airport leaving at 13:30 didn't know if we could get home in between, but we did. Taxis there and back

Mum needs a hip replacement and will see a specialist in 6 week's time to talk things through. She's a brave and feisty 84 year old lady but scared silly of operations and needles.

Anyway , I got back after midnight last night and it will probably take me a while to catch up, so please bare with me and oh the Wedding was FAB A really  joyful  beautiful event.

It's raining , it's pouring and I've just seen Marcia, my house guest, off at City Terminalen but before she left, Marcia gave me a colour analysis this morning. In fact,all week I have been hearing her supportive pep talk , and confidence boosting comments:

"You look good ", " You've got a great figure " ,( HA who me ??! ) " that colour looks good on you " , " your hair looks lovely like that.. "

WOT ??? Can it really be true ?

( I hates shopping ) Also I've learned that it is not about how much money you have to spend, but that it is about shopping wisely ; looking for quality , colours and styles that suit, being open to new tones and shades that I might not have considered but dismissed directly with " Don't like that " There's reds and there's REDS .. a thousand shades of white.

After the colour analysis this morning which took 90 minutes , I learned that my top colour was BLACK and that I could wear black without it making me look pale or jaded - which was a surprise to Marcia and a relief for me ....hurray ....everything else is forgiven after that LOL

Slept like a log and woke up 9:35 to find my house guest still asleep. She was supposed to be out of the house by 9:30. Poor thing is exhausted.

It's been a full week - lots of things going on , working and socialising... new places .. new people... impressions.. inspiration .... all has to be digested too Body wants to sleep but mind says " keep going .. this is interesting .. lets have more fun "

Ah well .. it is all good innit ?

In the first part of my dream last night First part of the dream I see little grey mice mice and a grey rat in a bedroom.

Unpleasant but not disgusting.

They are under and around the bed and I am somewhat distanced from the situation

In the second part of the dream , there's a choice to be made.....to go and live on a sunny and beautiful tropical island somewhere far away for a long time ...but it would mean sleeping in a sleeping bag instead of a bed and I would other home comforts that I value and am used to and miss my friends an opportunity to have an exciting adventure into the unknown
the island has just been bought by a young woman
comes with a bank of 110 employees.

A tour operator has sold his ship and business lock stock and barrel to the young woman who seems inexperienced but happy and willing to take on the challenge.

So now , after breakfast of egg, tomato and fried porridge ( not as yukky as it sounds .. basically oats, flour pinch of salt and water to batter consistancy and then fried like a pancake )

There is something about the combination of tomato egg and oats that has me moaning orgasmically , if you know what I mean

Another day has gone by

Where did it go ?

My house guest and I left bright and early this morning for Suwan's place and a massage each. Oh the bliss of being pampered head to toe.. back , arms , legs , hands and feet .... I tell you .. seventh heaven it was.

Afterwards Suwan made a wonderful lunch for us and we sat around chatting sipping chilled glasses of wine. Marcia left to see a client, Suwan produced another bottle of wine which we thoroughly enjoyed while discussing existential things, the benefits of holistic healing and energy medicine and Buddhism.

I finally got home around 6 pm only to discover that the whole of our street had been affected by a power cut ! Lifts don't work during power cuts , do they ... oh no.... so yours truly in a tipsy state of mind simply floated up six flights of stairs and collapsed on t'bed for a bit of a siesta after which time the power was back on just in time for dinner followed by ,a hot soak in the tub and a bit of pottering around.

Marcia returns , we put the kettle on, have a bit of a natter over a cuppa Earl Grey and suddenly it is after midnight. 8C outside , cold and wet. Last night was clear though and I even cought a glimpse of the moon

WOT a birthday.. both shocking and wonderful at the same time.

My day started lesurely and fine with cards , and email messages arriving , a soak in the tub and then at 10 a.m. came a phone call totally out of the blue ( to do with finances ) that did me in completely. Nasty. I won't go into detail , but for a few hours there it felt like the rug had been pulled away from under my feet. I was in shock,nauseous unable to think or act. It's sorted for the time being, *breathes sigh of relief * but it still needs attending to.

Anyway , apart from that I had a lovely birthday dinner and cosy evening together with my son Alexander , his lovely girlfriend Johanna and Marcia. ( Marcia an old friend from London who is staying with here until Sunday ) I'm afraid blogging time is restricted, please forgive me,

Marcia arrived from London with a suitcase almost as big as herself.

We've been having a fabulous time , lots of chin-wagging and catching up in between eating and drinking.

This trip is a mix of business and pleasure for Marcia who will be getting up bright an early to spend the day with a client. There's no way I am getting up at the crack of dawn with her so she will be left to her own devices.

I'm turning in now too. I think the acupuncture I had early today is making me detox , if you know what I mean A candle and matches have been placed in the bathroom

Met Gunilla at Slussen and then took the ferry over to Djurgården where we met Jill and then the three of us went for a walk and found many beautiful and secluded places great for summer picnics.

The air is still cold but the sun shone brightly on us all day- blue skies and glorious sunset.

I've been out all day

zzzzzzzzzz bedtime .. I tend to loose all track of time now as it doesn't get very dark.

I hear *crash* in the hall just outside the kitchen where I am sitting and go to investigate.

One of the pictures I put up the other day had fallen off the wall, hook and all, along with the lamp. Nothing broken , thank goodness. No draught .. no windows open.

As I stand there I feel a chill and see visible goose pimples on my arms that I get when I feel a presence.

Two weeks ago , I'd left the window open in the living room and picture that I'd leaned against a wall on a shelf had fallen down bringing a lot of stuff with it , but again, nothing broken.

I'm all excited now Has someone or something moved in with me ?

Thai Pantene television commercial. Its simply brilliant. The story of a deaf and mute girl who learns to play the violin against all odds. One of the most touching advertisements I've seen in a long, long time.

Had a wander around town this afternoon on a cold, cloudy , 9C Swedish National Day.

Sweden are playing Denmark at Råsunda stadium so there were quite a few blue and yellow and red and white supporters about. Police on stand by , but the atmosphere was friendly , no cause for alarm.

The main street was cordonned off so I stopped for a while to watch the Royals pass on their way to official celebrations at Skansen.

After that a walk through Kungsträdgarden where all kinds of eaters had set up tents.

Thats it .. on to full moon activities now

'tis another Full Moon...already! This past month has been filled with inspiration,followed by new beginnings,visit to the hairdressers and wonderful soul to soul visits, heartfelt connections as well as a taste of summer.

I read today that .....

Astrologically, the celestial realms support our healing and highest expression with a triple conjunction of Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron. Releasing lifetimes of pain and suffering is effortless under this influence.

This weekend's Full Moon is in Sagittarius/Gemini and it it known as the Festival of Goodwill, when the spiritual energies received through the Wesak and Easter portals are disseminated for the benefit of all beings.

It is an auspicious time.

In other news , today , 6th June, Swedish National Day is a public holiday. There are celebrations going on all over the place as Swedes tune in to expressing their sense of nationalism. Blue and yellow flags all over the place. Partying and having fun is fine but all this patriotism makes me cringe a little. I don't like it at all and consciously choose to detach myself from all that.

As I glance outside to the balconies opposite I see a man going through a rack of clothes that have been airing out there overnight. He is really going through them, methodically inspecting each grament I find this fascinating .. so unlike mira behaviour ooo he's even sorted them out according to colour , dark first and getting lighter down the rail

But back to the full moon energies ......

Giorgio the Greek guy I told off on FB and I have become friends. He sent me an amazing Tarot reading he'd done and now I shall try and do one for him. I prefer face to face sessions and interaction with person for whom I am doing the reading. Not fortune telling , but more like illuminating an issue or guiding through the woods.

Ok .. best get dressed now and go out exporing while the sun is shining. It's quite chilly outside.

I had some delicious fried strömming ( baltic herring) for dinner and my home is still smelly despite the air extractor. In for a penny in for a pound ... I now have a whole pot full of chick peas cooking away, destined for hummus, falaffel and other goodies. Might as well eh ?

Marcia, is an old friend of mine who used to live here but returned to London about 20 years ago after her divorce from Swedish hubby and will be staying with me for week. This enterprising lady has just started her own business offering makeovers, colour consultations and style advice and is mainly here on business so I won't have to do touristy bits.

Gosh .. it's midnight already and still quite light outside. Nice .. a clear sky after all the rain. I wonder if the moon is around somewhere ?
