There is no doubt that our current way of life is harming the planet and its inhabitants
    .

However, indifference and pessimism will do nothing
    to remedy this.

For a better future, we each must re-evaluate our own actions and BE the change we want to see in the world.

A dream born in Kenya has become a charitable organization of hopeful young people uniting as the Otesha Project. Otesha, which means "reason to dream" in Swahili, was created to enable and empower our generation to take action towards a sustainable future. It is based on the belief that there are alternatives to our society of overconsumption, and that each one of us has the opportunity to have a positive impact, every single day.

The Otesha Project's education programs and bicycle tours use theatre, multi-media, and storytelling to engage a wide range of audiences. They focus on re-evaluating our daily choices to reflect the kind of future we'd like to see - rethinking what we really need, conserving resources, and voting with our dollars. We aim to demonstrate the positive effects our everyday choices can have, by living sustainably, changing the world, and having loads of fun--all at the same time!

A free click on www.thehungersite.com funds food, paid by the site advertisers.'

    What is The Hunger Site?

The Hunger Site is the world's first online activism site. It gives Internet users the daily opportunity to quickly make a difference in the fight to end hunger. In less than 5 seconds, visitors can click on the "Give Free Food" button and, at no cost to them, send food to the hungry in countries like Bosnia, Lebanon, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Honduras, Mozambique, Eritrea and the United States - anywhere there's a need. To date, more than 150 million visitors have clicked to give more than 14,000 metric tons of food (almost 250 million cups of food) to the world's hungry. The staple food is paid for by The Hunger Site sponsors and distributed by America's Second Harvest and Mercy Corps. The site's grassroots popularity has been recognized with prestigious Web awards in the activism category -- the 2000 Cool Site of the Year Award and the People's Voice winner at the 2000 Webby Awards.

    Thank you.

  • The Art of DReaming

The Art of DReaming - (Carlos Castaneda ) is fascinating but difficult to understand using conventional thinking. I feel I have to let go , relax and constantly stay open .. trust the Nagual ... not easy .

I am fascinated by the way I, the reader, am introduced to the world of the sorcerer . He talks about energy configurations and uses expressions like " the second attention" and the "first gate of dreaming "

" When sorcerers see a human being they see a giant luminous shape that floats, making , as it moves, a deep furrow in the energy of the earth , just as if the luminous shape had a taproot that was dragging. "

Strawberries , Don Juan and Castaneda ...while the first few drops of rain fall after 8 days of sun and heat .

  • 8 days of heat and sun

I love the heat and sun . There have been a lot of lovely picinics with friends  on Skeppsholmen, Riddarfjärden, Stadshuset .. etc .. all near water with fantastic views. I feel this is the time to re charge batteries and stock up on beauty and joy.

I just heard that I didn't get the job I applied for. I am really disappointed , but there must be a reason for that too. So I am wondering what will replace it .

My friend who was spewing anger and gall at me says she is now feeling sad and thinks we should meet sometime soon . We shall se what happens there.

Allergies are fine now , thank goodness. Life is so pleasant without them.

I see clouds gathering .. a sign of rain on the way ?

Reading Carlos Castaneda's " The Art of Dreaming ". Fascinating.

  • Money can be one of my best friends.

Money can be one of my best friends.

That statement usually makes us feel angry---especially if we're having money worries. Our beliefs about money are so ingrained that it is hard to talk about them without a lot of emotion coming up. It is much easier to teach a workshop on sex than on money. We get very angry when our money patterns are challenged. We want to be aware of how we really feel about money. I could look into a mirror and say to myself, "My biggest worry about money is____," and then relax and let the feelings come up. Maybe the messages are: "I will never have enough to get out of debt," or "I will be poor like my father," or "I am afraid of becoming a bag lady." If I really believe these thoughts, then it will be impossible for me to attract prosperity. As I become aware of what beliefs are blocking the flow of money in my life, I can choose to change those beliefs. I can begin to create new thoughts. I affirm: All of my needs are taken care of. I can earn more money than my parents. It is safe for me to be prosperous. I attract abundance now.

Money is one of the easiest things to demonstrate.

    Louise Hay

Amazing this ... all our ingrained beliefs . I now affirm :

It is safe for me to be prosperous.
    I attract abundance now.

    And so it is !
    YES !

  • Yesterday

What a wonderful day it was .. HEAT at last has hit Stockholm. We are now in our FIFTH day.

I got up early to check out a Oneness university event and Deeksha with Sri Anandagiri MunchenBryggeriet. Made my way to MariaTorget, nearest tunnelbana , ( tube station ) Once there ,after chatting to a few people who were standing around and taking the lift up to the 7th floor, I decided " no" and chose to walk instead along SödraMälarstrand passing all the beautiful old wooden boats moored there . Amazing, a delight it was , like being in Greece or abroad somewhere. I felt so happy, even without the " deeksha " :-)

Andrea phoned and decided to join me. Two hours later after getting a bit lost on Långholmen I ended up at Rådhuset , Stadshuset, you know the place where the After Nobel Prize Giving Banquet is held. Lovely to sit there in the park among the fountains and the tourists, people watching , Chinese and Japanese taking photos of each other, one woman taking photos while trying to hold a parasol in the other hand.A wedding party arrives for their reception. More photos. THe groom striding 10 paces in front of his newly wed wife together with the photographer. She, bless her, lifting her dress to avoid tripping over in one hand and gripping bouquet in the other follows behind daintily in ´her high heels. I thnk to myself " It won't last. This couple is doomed "

How different we are. Some sun worshipers in bikinis on the lawn, some fully clothed hats, gloves and long sleeves, in the shade.

Andrea arrives and after people watching for an hour or so , we find a spot for lunch overlooking the water.

My face is a bit red today .. got quite a lot of sun. It was the two hour long walk that did it , I think. Still, I'm not complaining.

I do hope this weather lasts- I want to explore Stockholm more during July.

  • I believe in all that has never yet been spoken.

I believe in all that has never yet been spoken.
I want to free what waits within me
so that what no one has dared to wish for

    may for once spring clear
    without my contriving.

If this is arrogant, God, forgive me,
but this is what I need to say.
May what I do flow from me like a river,
no forcing and no holding back,
the way it is with children.

Then in these swelling and ebbing currents,
these deepening tides moving out, returning,
I will sing you as no one ever has,

    streaming through widening channels
    into the open sea.
