Morning meditation thoughts wandered to relationships.
Friends are like energies or fairy godmothers flying in..zooming , baring gifts for baby Aurora. Each friend can be seen as colours. In the "NOW" some relationships have strong emotional charges , others less so.
The constalation changes constantly ..moment by moment. Friends energies zoom into my field of awareness .. either evoked .. or simply mysteriously appear.

Thoughts come and go. I wonder what it is that prevents me from being TRULY present? e.g. MT has a stomach bug so won't be coming over tomorrow which is a pity , but we'll meet on Monday after work instead.
GH is funny sms regarding our last meeting going to and fro. G. mentioned that I have schizoid traits, defences , which has prompted me to read and research schizoid personality traits and defences. Mostly I come across " disorders " which I find INFURIATING and the pharmacueticals benefit. Lots of money in happy pills. That's another story. I so dislike labels and diagnoses anyway.I keep wanting to blurt out " who says ? all the time.
Nancy McWilliams, bless her , writes about it well though in Psychoanalytical Diagnosis. She has a private practice in psychoanalysis, psychodynamic therapy, and supervision in Flemington, New Jersey, and is the author of Psychoanalytic Diagnosis: Understanding Personality Structure in the Clinical Process (Guilford Press, 1994) and Psychoanalytic Case Formulation (Guilford Press, 1999), as well as articles and book chapters on personality, psychopathology, psychotherapy, altruism, sexuality, and gender. She is currently working on a book on psychoanalytic therapy, also for Guilford Press.
In an interview ( 2006 ) she is asked :Having written three books on your own, what was it like to work
with such a large group of people to create the PDM?
" The task forces whose efforts were combined to create the PDM were actually rather small. My own committee, on Personality Patterns and Disorders, consisted of six intellectually vital and forceful people, Eve Caligor, Abby Hirzig, Otto Kernberg, Jonathan Shedler, Drew Westen, and me, with somewhat
divergent ways of thinking about personality. Yet we were all sufficiently clear about the need for a more dimensional and contextual depiction of personality that our enthusiasm carried us through our disagreements. I remember thinking, as we spent a day in the Kernberg home hammering out
various compromises, that this was exactly what I had wanted my adult life to be like: sitting around with very smart people, in beautiful surroundings, discussing things we all care passionately about. "
Sounds good to me.What it must be like to be really smart !
"The purpose of therapy is not to remove suffering but TO MOVE THROUGH IT to an enlarged consciousness that can sustain the polarity of painful opposites."
-- James Hollis
YES to move through it !
