  • Packing & watching condensed version of Oscars

I like Ellen de Generes . She's natural and funny. This is a big night for actors and actresses and from what I can gather quite a tradition for Americans to watch the whole thing beginning to end.

Are the hosts of the Oscars always gay ?

I'm watching while packing and sorting out a month's laundry, blogging, answering the phone , emails and all sorts of odds and ends.

I do tend to go round in circles.Travel fever .

*thinking out aloud * flight 07:45. 1 March , day after tomorrow , which means I have to be there 06:15 ... 06:30 . Arlanda bus takes 40 mins.. taxi to busstop 20 minutes .. that's an other hour..leave at 5:30 ..up at 4:30. Don't like to rush . Since I will be sleepwalking at that time of the morning .. need to allow myself masses of time.

The big suitcase is out .. maybe I should take my little red weekend bag instead .. really travel light for once. Clothes can be washed.

Why is this a problem ? I should be used to this by now.. done it so many times.

Anchovies ( for Jansson's frestelese ) and 6 tins of Herbamare herb salt . Friends say they can't get it there and are hooked on it. It's available in every supermarket here and prices range from 25kronor to 35 kronor lol It's not even Swedish .. Swiss I think.

Anyway . I 'm happ The Queen got an Oscar. Must see the film .. lots of films I want to see and end up seeing them on the telly

Night night people .. may you be well happy and peaceful .. I'm off to bed now ,It's already tomorrow !

  • Thought of the day

    ´

Nothing is going to spoil this moment...

    Imagine making thatdecision:
nothing's going to spoil this moment.
Now, imagine making that decision about a relationship, job, day in the week,
    or...whatever.
Imagine applying that idea uniformly in your life."

  • Another Monday drawing to a close

G was here for dinner and her hubby just came to pick her up .
Daugher Anna has got engaged to a RYan Air pilot and has been showing off her bling bling engagement ring. G is happy of course.

G and I met when our sons were at school together. She came to pick M up one evening , saw my crystals and woo woo stuff and we became instant friends .

After many years of being a single parent and strange husband who may be autistic or have Aspergers syndrome ,, he is certainly odd .... G is now with her darling H. A very attractive man. I love stories with happy endings.

They have a house out in the country and G is thinking of getting a couple of goats. Special goats . She 's been checking on the internet . Plans to sheer them , die wool with vegetable dyes .. acorns ..... herbs ..leaves .... she's done it before . I think it is all so exciting and I'm encouraging her to think BIG . Dreams . I Love them .

  • Mars mentioned in my Horror -scope

" The sensitive Cancer Moon stirs our worries about emotional insecurities. We want to withdraw, but Mars just entered Aquarius, so our unorthodox interactions become more important than retreating. Mental Mercury, now well into its retrograde cycle, backs up into quirky Aquarius, creating an intellectual backlash to our emotions. Mercury and Mars form an irritating semisextile, indicating possible communication struggles with our friends or coworkers "

  • The Focus Wheel and other stuff

Found my notes on The Focus Wheel while clearing clutter yesterday.

This is an amazing tool and it makes more sense now than it did last year when I first discovered it. I found the three focus wheels I did in April 2006 and most of what I put there has been realised.

The Universal Law of Attraction states: We become a magnet
for what ever we put our focus on
    --whether wanted or unwanted.
The more clear you become about what you want or desire, the quicker and more easily the Universe brings it to you. This is THE SECRET, btw all about the law of attraction . What you focus on, grows.

Here's a fabulous link for the focus wheel which orginates from Abraham / Hicks.

  • Sunday evening and all's well.

Right I'm freshly showered and shampoed - the dust and dirt of the day's rumaging and pottering around washed down the drain.Gone. Bills will get paid tomorrow.

I'm manicured , pedicured and moisturised, ready to call ot a day and slip between the sheets.

It's been a long day of pottering around. Dust gets up my nose and makes me sneeze , but appart that , enjoyable. A sense of satisfaction knowing that
sray papers and documents from 2005 and 2006 have mow been gathered together in their appropriate files.new files started for 2007. ( have one for the company and one for domestic papers , bills and the like. )

I'm a bit late this year they've been floating around in the hall and on my desk but now it is done. Dust has been moved about too and a couple of shelves cleared. Bills will be paid tomorrow. can't be bothered to do them now.

Blessings bloggers everywhere. Beautiful blissfulness previals . Night night .

Gulls were wheeling around the sky, and looking up she saw him again, as she had known she would. He was not at all obvious. There were no clear signs but up on the roof you could see, if you gad mind to it, that this was not an ordinary man.

  • Packing , clearing clutter , getting organised

As I look around my cosy "cave " I see creative chaos.
How can I start to pack with all this disorder and mess ?
This is a reflection of my mind.
When this happens I start to tidy up and organise the files in my computer.
Clearing clutter and organising is the theme of the day.
I enter into it reluctantly, willingly focusing on the end result
I fly to Manchester , crack of dawn , 1 March. that's on Tursday and will be away for 12 days . No computer contact whatsoever. How will I manage without blogging and the WWW ?

  • Hijacked by the High Priestess

I've been captured, hijacked by the High Priestess..... all morning. Mesmerised. This gal is powerful. I've been swept away by her energies ; the energies of the subconscious and the principle of "Do what YOu want to do " and Divine Paradox. Truly amazing and most enigmatic. Divine Feminine . The Goddess.

    highpriestess

The High Priestess is about the passive knowing of recorded memory. This lady leads us into a way of life that takes place below the surface , in the subconscious .. the underworld, the world of Orpheus. As the High Priestess, of course she can travel between the two worlds.Orpheus and Demeter. Down the stairs she goes and back up again , bringing back stuff into the light of day for inspection and observation. Awareness.

Note : Subconsciousness controls our bodily functions and growth. It's memory is perfect. It controls all that we are not aware of. It is receptive and amenable to suggestion. ( This is why affirmations work )

Subconsciousness exists at both the personal level (our personal subconscious mind), and at the Universal level (the Universal Subconscious, also known by various names such as: Prakriti, Binah).

The high Priestess UNITES she is Uniting Intelligence.

When she appears it is a good idea to pay attention to our dreams

Associations : the Moon..refelction of the light, silver.memory, rhythm, emotion, instincts, number 2 , duality , reflection, copying, transcription, reproduction, and so on, it relates definitely to memory, the basic function of subconsciousness. The number 2 can also suggest ambiguity , deception, untruth, illusion, error and delusion.

we are all interconnected through the collective unsconscious ( also the www !! ? ) We are individuals and we are also ONE .

    SUGGESTIONS:

Be more in touch with the flow of life.
Listen, be calm, reflective, and receptive.

    QUESTIONS :

What pattern or habit would benefit from examination?
What have I been reacting to?
How might the mass mind be influencing how I handle my career, social or family life?
What memory might prove useful to reflect upon?

  • Excerpt from Emmanuel's Book, A Manual for Living Comfortably in the Cosmos.

    Is working for material things
a hinderance to our spiritual purpose?

Not if you see material things
    as materialized consciousness.
When one is in the material world
one must have food and clothing.
And one desires a home that is beautiful,
    comfortable, a place to be.

These are the accoutrements of self Love
    When self-love is truly acknowledged
you will not deny yourself any of these things.
    Self-love will open your hands
to receive as well as to give.
And certainly it is not taking something away
    from someone else.
    Your universe is boundless.
    There is more than enough
    of everything for everyone.

How does one take in the bounty that is there?
What does one do to deserve opulence?
You think this is not a difficulty?
    Wait and see.

Until such a time when you have mastered
    the art of receiving,
    you must supply yourself
    with the material necessities.

If you can release your guilt about money
and accept it as part of the Divine universe
and the physical reality of your earth,
you will see that it has no more or less power
    than you give it.
    It is a necessity.
You all hold the sense of money too tightly.

    chariot1

    chariot2

Nunber 7 The traditional card is full of symbols. Intiguing,. Enigmatic . Contradictory. Complex.

This card is about moving forward quickly yet as smoothly as possible.

The " I" the ´Self is the driver and the horses are spects of the personality pulling in opposite directons

    or

The Mind is the the driver, the chariot is the body and the two horses are the emotions.

Whatever. It is about self- management leadership.

    Move forward with grace.
    coordination
    Balancing and synthesis of opposites
    skillful steering
    " I am in charge "

( The higher Self or the personal self ? WHo is in charge ? Is it a joint effort ? Cooperation ? )

    Moving towards self - realisation
self- control is involved .. how much ? .. when ?

Afirmation : " Iam organising my life and preparing for the new beginning "

  • I pm and I'm about to have breakfast

I seem to live and love in my own time and I am filled with gratitude when I think that thought.

My mantra or affirmation these past few years has been

" I live love and breathe in the rhythm of my soul "

Affirmations do become reality and when they do, I am overwhelmed with gratitude and the emotion of it all. Profound. Deep stuff. I feel it in my heart space and start to cry .. but they are good tears. " My cup runneth over " sort of tears. :D

    " Breathe ....... stay with the feeling ..... yes ! "

Mmmmmm that was a tender moment.
    Now for breakfast.
    See ya soon

  • Peace ( Thich Nhat Hanh )

"Every day we do things, we are things that have to do with peace. If we are aware of our life..., our way of looking at things, we will know how to make peace right in the moment, we are alive."

    -- Thich Nhat Hanh

Thich Nhat Hanh (pronounced Tick-Naught-Han) is a Vietnamese Buddhist monk. During the war in Vietnam, he worked tirelessly for reconciliation between North and South Vietnam. His lifelong efforts to generate peace moved Martin Luther King, Jr. to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1967. He lives in exile in a small community in France where he teaches, writes, gardens, and works to help refugees worldwide. He has conducted many mindfulness retreats in Europe and North America helping veterans, children, environmentalists, psychotherapists, artists and many thousands of individuals seeking peace in their hearts, and in their world.

  • At the end of the day

It's been a long snowy cloudy day here. Work , laundry, blogging , phone calls , reflection, bits and bobs. Happiness. Joy . well-being.

    Some things do irritate me.

" 22-year-old prince Harry will be fighting for his country and is " over the moon " "

Duhhhhh ! Fighting for his country indeed . What a load of crap !

It annoys me that these people think that war is some kind of virtual reality- like a computer game. War is nasty. It is full of horror . It's not even Britain's war ! It's men playing with expensive dangerous " toys " that make big bangs. bangs .Dangerous play. '

When will we ( I say wE because WE are all responsible ) When will we ever learn ?
An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

War is not glam. It is not exciting . Innocent people get hurt and scars last for a long long time.

    War is expensive.

Cost of the War in Iraq
    $368,570,033,191 ( 12 figures !!! that's something like billion trillions , isn't it ? )

  • Afirmation for today

Today I release the blocks and impediments which obscure my becoming fully empowered.

  • Meditation on Strength and Power

    strength power

This card puts me in touch with my personal power. Self – esteem. Self – worth and self –confidence.

How fragile and vulnerable these inner qualities are. They can dissolve instantly as a result of words from the ego via someone else

"YOU .. YOU ...You left me , abandoned me, disappointed me, let me down, saddened me.. YOU .. YOU did all this to me .. YOU poisoned me , YOU hurt me !! "

Ego is empowered this way through blame and shame.

A woman and a lion , wrestling or cuddling ?

She seems calm and confident. This is a picture of power; inner power, Inner knowing.

" I can deal with anything that comes my way Bring it on ! A lion’s worth of challenges. I’ll deal with them one by one , easily and effortlessly ‘cos I can."

The lion is licking my hand. Obstacles and challenges can be turned into playmates and opportunities The power of love overcomes fear Love alone can conquer wrath. Hatred feeds hatred.

"Let man be freed from vengeance; this is a bridge for me which leads to higher hope and a rainbow in heaven after long storms."
    -- Zarathustra

There is power in unity – the unity of diversity Unity of desires, unity of aspirations creates such power that every wild, uncontrolled, unconscious force is subdued. Even two opposite desires, if united, are able to conquer almost the whole world.

"A consciousness that perceives the symbol of infinity above it, knows no obstacles and cannot be withstood."

and here ( just the moon )

    http://lunarium.co.uk/sign.php ( moon )

    http://lunarium.co.uk/calendar.php ( lunar Calender )

  • My moon is in Aries

    Moon in Aries
The Moon in Aries makes an individual energetic, impetuous and impulsive. Even if at times he or she might seem calm and cool outside, inside they are full of fidgety urges. Quite unexpectedly for those around them, and sometimes even for themselves, these people can suddenly get involved in an adventure, make a decisive step, or go to the other side of the globe under the influence of a bright new idea.

It is simply essential for the Moon in Aries to somehow release the energy of this hot-headed sign, an uncomfortable for the Moon. It is quite common for an individual with this Moon to go into sports (REAL sports, not chess!).

Moon in Aries people see life as a permanent battle or competition. Even if everything goes smoothly, without effort, theirMoon in Aries will find something to struggle for.

Since the Moon rules unconscious reactions, people with the Moon in Aries react very quickly and automatically. Later, when they become more conscious of their actions, they may regret what they've done, but, alas, patience and prudence are not their strong points.

If their life is too stable and dull, Moon in Aries individuals might protest against this, and this can show as health problems - possibly inflammatory disorders of digestion or an allergy. The Moon is also associated with skin, and the skin may become reddish, with pimples or a rash. Moon in Aries can also be prone to headaches, sleeplessness (especially when overworked or overexcited) and eye problems.

To get rid of stress, Moon in Aries needs to somehow spend excess energy - to have a run, to punch someone (if not physically then emotionally), or break something.

It is not easy for Moon in Aries to be a parent. It just cannot be unobtrusive and steady. Its pedagogical style is more like a cavalry charge, and a slap on the wrist can be its main argument.

Moon in Aries people often think of their mother as an active and energetic person, and the main thing which she taught them in life is not to be idle and that they should pursue their goals.

Housekeeping may serve as a safety-valve for these people, especially for women. They have plenty of energy for cleaning, repairing, cooking, but this happens in bursts, and if something isn't completed until the end of such a burst, it will be abandoned until the next time. Normally, the Moon in Aries can be a good cook (if it doesn't burn something in a haste), but everyday cooking is seen as humdrum and boring.

  • Yes. Waxing moon

Yes, Had my hair cut today so it should grow well.

The waxing moon is good for business too
    http://lunarium.co.uk/

"An auspicious time for affairs and businesses which are at an expansive stage of development, as well as for new beginnings. A growth phase: stimulate the growth of plants which bear fruit above the earth now, and cut hair to accelerate its growth."

"In the first instance, things connected with the Moon are to do with emotional background, the level of physiological activity in the body, and our relationships with close relatives, especially parents and children. The Moon is closely connected with our subconsciousness, so its manifestations are not explicit or obvious, but they significantly influence the mood of events.

    It's not magic; it isn't a trick.
    Every breath is a resurrection.
And when we hear the poem
Which is the world, when our eyes
    Gaze at the beloved's body,
We're reborn in all the sacred parts

  • never a victim

    You are never a victim

"When we blame, we give away our power."

    -- Greg Anderson

ALL of our personal physical, psychological, and
social problems arise from a lack of alignment
between the body, emotions, mind and the soul. As a result, we are never victims of outside forces.

The soul challenges us to grow with problems,
illnesses and/or injuries. These painful events
trigger our subconscious blocks. This gives us the opportunity to SEE the blocks and release them.

"People who consider themselves victims of their circumstances will always remain victims unless they develop a greater vision for their lives."

    -- Stedman Graham

"No matter how frustrated you may feel, there is
Always a way out. In every situation that arises,
we choose to be powerful or powerless. It may not
always feel like it, but it is a choice. And
there are consequences for these choices in terms of the results we get, and the subsequent increase or decrease in our power and influence. If we choose powerlessness, it is often because we doubt there is any other option."

  • Number 6 ; The Lovers

    CARD VI. THE LOVERS.

    lovers
" I saw a blooming garden in a green valley, surrounded by soft blue hills.

In the garden I saw a Man and a Woman naked and beautiful. They loved each other and their Love was their service to the Great Conception, a prayer and a sacrifice; through It they communed with God, through It they received the highest revelations; in Its light the deepest truths came to them; the magic world opened its gate; elves, undines, sylphs and gnomes came openly to them; the three kingdoms of nature, the mineral, plant and animal, and the four elements—fire, water, air and earth—served them.

Through their Love they saw the mystery of the world's equilibrium, and that they themselves were a symbol and expression of this balance. Two triangles united in them into a six-pointed star. Two magnets melted into an ellipsis. They were two. The third was the Unknown Future. The three made One.

I saw the woman looking out upon the world as though enraptured with its beauty. And from the tree on which ripened golden fruit I saw a serpent creep. It whispered in the woman's ear, and I saw her listening, smiling at first suspiciously, then with curiosity which merged into joy. Then I saw her speak to the man. I noticed that he seemed to admire only her and smiled with an expression of joy and sympathy at all she told him.

"This picture you see, is a picture of temptation and fall", said the voice.

"What constitutes the Fall? Do you understand its nature? "Life is so good", I said, "and the world so beautiful, and this man and woman wanted to believe in the reality of the world and of themselves. They wanted to forget service and take from the world what it can give. So they made a distinction between themselves and the world. They said, "We are here, the world is there." And the world separated from them and became hostile.

"Yes", said the Voice, this is true. "The everlasting mistake with men is that they see the fall in love. But Love is not a fall, it is a soaring above an abyss. And the higher the flight, the more beautiful and alluring appears the earth. But that wisdom, which crawls on earth, advises belief in the earth and in the present. This is the Temptation. And the man and woman yielded to it. They dropped from the eternal realms and submitted to time and death. The balance was disturbed. The fairyland was closed upon them. The elves, undines, sylphs and gnomes became invisible. The Face of God ceased to reveal Itself to them, and all things appeared upside down.

"This Fall, this first sin of man, repeats itself perpetually, because man continues to believe in his separateness and in the Present. And only by means of great suffering can he liberate himself from the control of time and return to Eternity—leave darkness and return to Light."

  • It 's one of those rare blue skies sunshine and snow days

It 's one of those rare blue skies sunshine and snow days. Brilliant . Light .

My blinds are drawn , cos if they weren't I wouldn't be able to see the computer screen properly. My dirty windows are not quite dirty enough to keep out the strong bright rays of the sun.

I might go out on the balcony and pretend I am at a ski resprt and tan my face. Quick sticks, before the sun goes down.

I'm all newly clipped , trimmed and styled . Visit to hairdressers went very well. She showed me how to get even curlier locks by twisting strands of hair when damp .Fiffigt ! A good hair day too. I am so damn fortunate ! xx

  • I'm off to bed now

I'm off to bed now with a smile on my face . I have to get up early in the morning. Well not That early ... but still .

There is something special and yummy about these hours around midnight.Undisturbed tranquility. Clear channels .

Drifting off into dreamland now . All is quiet. Tranquil . spirits are round and about.

Love and hugs .. night night ..
peace zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz in all dimensions xx

  • There's a crack , a crack in everything

    The birds they sang
    at the break of day
    Start again
    I heard them say
    Don't dwell on what
    has passed away
or what is yet to be.

    Ah the wars they will
    be fought again
    The holy dove
    She will be caught again
    bought and sold
    and bought again
    the dove is never free.

Ring the bells that still can ring
    Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.

    We asked for signs
    the signs were sent:
    the birth betrayed
    the marriage spent
    Yeah the widowhood
    of every government --
    signs for all to see.

    I can't run no more
    with that lawless crowd
while the killers in high places
    say their prayers out loud.
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
    a thundercloud
and they're going to hear from me.

Ring the bells that still can ring ...

You can add up the parts
but you won't have the sum
You can strike up the march,
    there is no drum
    Every heart, every heart
    to love will come
    but like a refugee.

Ring the bells that still can ring
    Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.

Ring the bells that still can ring
    Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.
That's how the light gets in.
That's how the light gets in.

THe man with the velvety voice ... ohh la la . " Repent ....... charlie Manson ....gimme gimme ...I've seen the future it is murder " lol sometimes he paints a bleak picture , but it doesn't matter , cos you wonder what he meant !

Then all of a sudden he puts his seductive voice on and you forget all the black and bleak stuff.

All of a sudden you are in the land of miracles , empathy and soul .. compassion and mysterious allusions .

  • work keeps me busy

work keeps me busy sometimes and away from blogging. Such is life. But I complain not , as things are flowing nicely.

Had to go down to the library to use their printer as mine is still , sadly , still Kaput or needs a new cartridge. I'm not sure , because before it stopped printing it covered pages with blank ink. Naughty . Very naughty.

Made an appointment to have my hair cut tomorrow . Hope it's an auspicious day for haircuts. I wonder what cutting hair by the phases of the moon calender says. Can't find it.The moon is still waning. Hmmmm

Session with new client worked well. She was so much happier this time.

Yet again she'd had to wait outside the outside door as she couldn't get the code to work ! This happened last time too. Someone told her that the code had been changed that very day ( flippin lie ) and then let her in. Well , it hadn't and armed with the correct code she still couldn't get the door to open. Today we both went down to try - and it worked. Will be interesting to see if she can get it to work next time .

  • Idle Working Men'sClub

    IWMC

" Contrary to popular opinion the name Idle does not derive from a lack of enthusiasm for work from the local population.
It probably derives from the Anglian leader in Northumberland IDA OF BERNICA. Children may have been named after him ie, IDAS or IDES and their children could have been called IDESONS a surname which still exists. People with various derivations of the name were recorded living in Idle. The latest a Richard Ideson in 1379. It is known the word Law or Lawe meant hill. If a person called Ides lived on a hill, this area would be called Ides Lawe. This could have changed as follows: Idlawe, Idlaw, Idla, Idel and finally Idle "

    http://www.idleonline.co.uk
Some good pubs in Idle and even a wine bar . It all looks a lot more posh than it does IRL lol

I was born in Idle , and I did not know this until now. All because of a longing for fish and chips. My chippie is right next to the Alex , if you find it .

there's even a link for Idle with all its attractions .. well .. whatdya know !

  • Dealing with negative thoughts ( Wayne Dyer )

Wayne Dyer has a method he calls the match came - idea is that you take a stressful thought and match it with a better more positive one .

    Winning at the match game.

No match: I've always been poor; I was raised on shortages and scarcity.
Match I intend to attract wealth and prosperity in unlimited abundance.

No match: We've always fought in this relationship.
Match: I'll work at being peaceful and not allowing anyone
    to bring me down.

No match: My children have never shown me any respect.
Match: I intend to teach my children to respect all of life,
and I'll treat them in the same way.

No match: I'm so annoyed with my family. They just don't
understand me and they never have.

Match: I love my family; they don't see things my way,
but I don't expect them to. I'm totally focused
on my own intentions, and I send them love.

  • Happy Monday

Happy Monday everyone . Today is a good day .. a bit cloudy but we all know the sun's there somewhere behind the clouds , don't we ?

    Hmmmm.

M.B woke me up around 10 am .. waking up with a start rattles me somewhat . He's off to London and back and ten to Umeå all before nightfall too. We will meet on Thursday asked if I could help him buy underwear .. well .. that IS an important and intimate task .. but then we are friends. I shave his back for him sometimes and he really appreciates that cos he's not fond of his hairy back .. but I think it is fun .. to shave it , I mean .

I've also booked the 23 July 2007. IH is coming over from Palm Springs . Haven't seen him for years. We are having a get together at M.B's place

There's something about pruning and tidying each other up that we've inherited from the monkeys. I like my hands being washed. It takes me back to childhood ...amazing feeling .. have you tried it ?

So .. wheat else is new ?

I dreamt I was making custard ! Beating the eggs in a saucepan adding milk and seeing it all come together as yellow custard. lol It was a most satisfying dream. I hope it means that things are coming together in perfect harmony

Felt a weird cocktail of mixed feelings in the seat of my soul during meditation. Stayed with it and just let it be.

The painting that emerged was like a lotus blossom being held up by a symbol .. wish I had a digital camera , I could show y'all .

  • Time for me to bid you all a fond goodnight xxx

DAhhhhlings .. I must away to my bed. To sleep perchance to dream.

I've just had the tiniest sneaky look at the Witch of Portabello .. the foreword , anyway , the questions put to Paulo Coelho

"Q. Do you believe in witches?

    A. Of course I do. Unfortunately the word “witch” has still many prejudices. To me, a witch is a woman that is capable of letting her intuition take hold of her actions, that communes with her environment, that isn’t afraid of facing challenges. In my latest novel, I precisely talk about the prejudice that modern witches face in modern society."

    Q. Why are people so afraid of change?
    A. If you don’t change, the world will change you. Only vampires don’t change. To change is necessary, but if you don’t allow it, you will nevertheless succumb to it… Tragedies, hardships will always present themselves and you will be forced to adapt yourself.

    Q. You deal with very delicate issues in this book, such as prejudice, religious intolerance and dogma. Aren’t you afraid of being excommunicated from the Catholic Church with this novel? After all you defend the idea that God is the Great Mother.
    A. I’m not afraid of that. I go every year to a Benedictine retreat in Austria, called Melk. There I spoke to abbot Buckhard about catholic tradition and, during our talks, the issue of women’s exclusion came up. He told me that the Benedictine have prayers dedicated to the Goddess-Mother. In 200 years I believe that feminine divinity will no longer be a taboo.

He's my kind of man ! :) Can't wait to read this book .. but will .

Night nght everyone ... sweet dreams xxxx

  • Back again !

After adventures in the real world- back again in front of computer screen.Familar place

It was great seeing everyone again. L. looked fabulous and very Parisienne. Son,A,gorgeous as always. He's looking more and more like his Venezuelan father. Tells me he's going over to New York in May to see pappa and a few of his own friends that are there.

The cultcha was weird . Monica Bonvincini is supposed to be an award-winning multi-media installation artist. What we saw was great gaping holes in the plaster floor , This artist is certainly curious about the relationship between architecture, constructions and gender. Part of the exhibition was framed questionnaires filled in by construction workers in half a dozen languages. Questions like " Do you find buildings erotic ?" and " What is the most common word or phrase among construction workers ?"

There was also a noisy family there - a very tall man , short woman and their 2 year old toddler. The toddler tried to eat parts of the exhibition and ran around the place cheerfully , while tall dad gave a running commentary about the exhibits to someone on his mobile phone . In a way it added another dimension to the exibition .. they were everywhere .I've never seen 3 people take so much space. It was fascinating .

Afterwards my son took me out for an Indian meal and the King prawns Masala were to die for ! mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

All in all a good day out ITRW . A good time was had by all.

Happy Chinese New Year bloggers ! Its the Year of the Fire Pig -- an event that happens only once every 600 years.

" This is the kind of year that brings greater opportunities for growth, expansion, prosperity and more. So, let’s ditch that mutt of a Red Fire Dog year and harness the Fire Pig’s unique energy for success in the new lunar year..... this Chinese New Year signals a time for fresh starts according to our planet’s lunar calendar. It's a perfect time to invoke the power of ancient divination -- in particular, the Chinese oracle known as the I-Ching -- which is not only an oracle system but a source-book for martial arts, feng shui and Chinese medicine. I was painting
    I was thinking
    I was meditating and reflecting
And then I logged on and started to read blogs and my whole mood changes.

Is there a point of a moral to this ?

    No points
    No morals
    No competition.

    And so it is.

    It doesn't feel sad.

  • to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?

    On Death
Than Almitra spoke, saying, "We would ask now of Death."

    And he said:

You would know the secret of death.

But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?

The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day cannot unveil the mystery of light.

If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life.

For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.

    In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond;

And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow your heart dreams of spring.

Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.

Your fear of death is but the trembling of the shepherd when he stands before the king whose hand is to be laid upon him in honour.

Is the sheered not joyful beneath his trembling, that he shall wear the mark of the king?

Yet is he not more mindful of his trembling?

For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?

And what is to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?

Only when you drink form the river of silence shall you indeed sing.

And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.

And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.

  • Medition on death , transormation and le petit mort

    deathtarot

There is a stigma to this card. A sense of doom. Final. The last word. The least breath. Separation. Death is shrouded in mystery .The night. Darkness. Being taken away , by surprise , not knowing when. Death can sneak up on you and harvest you when your purpose here on earth is done.

Sometimes I think this is the story that we are told so that we choose to remain here, because life isn't exactly easy all the time . It is full of challenges, pain suffering , chaos. We are brought up to fear death and yet there is nothing to fear but letting go.

Separation and being separated from love, loved ones and Source can give rise to sadness and anguish and fear. Death is a release- but it is as if we are not consciously allowed to make that decision. The time to go Home time is decided at a higher level. Death is like taking off a tight shoe after walking around all day.

When you are dead you are still alive. We do not cease to exist at death but continue to exist in another form, In that sense we are like water; liquid ...ice...steam...vapour .. we have many forms. To know life we must also be familiar with death. Living and dying go hand in hand. Sometimes we feel alive , other times we feel dead.

Death is more of an entrance than an exit . Death is about coming Home .

Being born is the difficult part. It's an aggressive act - being pushed out from the warm cosy place of the womb through a narrow passage , squeezed out like paste from a tube into the wide world. Cast out of paradise.

There is no such thing as death of the soul . We have experienced death many times during our many lifetimes, but we have never died.

No condition is permanent. Death is about transformation from one state of being to another. Being re- born. passage, change. transition from lower to higher to highest, humility, innocence, vulnerability,

When the darkness of winter is upon us we pause to contemplate death's message
Nature reminds us that death is part of the cycle of life. All the signs of winter, the bare trees, the raw cold, the barren terrain but there is always the promise spring.

Scorpio, the sign of this card, has three forms: scorpion, serpent, eagle.

When the card appears in a reading it often means

"The familiar life horizon has been outgrown; the old concepts, ideals, and emotional patterns no longer fit; the time for the passing of a threshold is at hand." ( Classical interpretation.)

Interesting that a French expression for orgasm is “ le petit mort “ the little death.

  • Your very own altar

    Intention And Intuition

The Purpose Of An Altar If you didn't grow up with an altar in your home, having an altar now may seem like an exotic and unattainable idea. Yet having an altar does not have to be complicated or difficult, nor does it need to be based on a religion or a set of ideas that don't seem to relate to you. An altar can be a simple, personal expression of what you want to focus on right now. You do not have to build anything or take up a lot of space. You do not have to buy anything new or follow a complex set of instructions to create your altar. All you have to do is have a general understanding of what an altar is and the willingness to allow yourself access to this wonderful, ancient tool of transformation. At its most essential, an altar is simply a raised structure that serves as a resting place for meaningful objects. It focuses the eye and provides a place for contemplation and, if so desired, ritual. All of these elements can be quite simple.

One idea for a simple altar is a pot with a bulb planted in it, set on a box. This altar to growth can act as a reminder to you that all living things bloom in their time. A simple ritual might be to write down dreams you would like to see come to fruition on scraps of paper. You might place these scraps of paper in the box, or under the flowerpot, or in an envelope you prop against the pot. As the flower grows, so will your dreams.

If you look around your home, you may find that you have already created altar like arrangements without even really thinking about it; this is something we humans do quite naturally. A candle, a decorative box, and a vase of flowers are just a few of the common household objects that lend themselves naturally to the creation of an altar. Simply add intention and intuition, and you have created your first altar. Remember that it isn't necessarily about the objects you place at your altar-it is the time you spend with it daily, taking the time to be with it for your sacred time.

  • Be like the flowing river

    flowingRiver

    Be like the flowing river,
    Silent in the night.
Be not afraid of the dark,
If there are stars in the sky, reflect them back.
If there are clouds in the sky
Remember, clouds like the river, are water,
So , gladly reflect them too,
    In your own tranquil depths.

  • Mixed nuts

Just an ounce will help replace those stress-depleted Bs (walnuts), give you a whopping amount of zinc (Brazil nuts)-it's also drained by high anxiety-and boost your E (almonds), which helps fight cellular damage linked to chronic stress. Buy nuts in the shell and think of it as multi-tasking: With every squeeze of the nutcracker, you're releasing a little bit of tension.

  • More on letting go

Letting go of your need to be perfect and correct could help you feel more comfortable with other people’s ideas and less attached to your own.

Should you start to feel intolerant today you can imagine that you are a flower opening up to receive the sun’s energy. As you picture this, you might become more aware of the fact that your negotiations are the product of a symbiotic relationship between you and another person—their ideas are also necessary for success.

  • From a prostitute’s diary

" From a prostitute’s diary: I earn 350 Swiss Francs to spend an hour with a man. I am exaggerating. If we don’t count taking off clothes, pretending to be affectionate, chatting about something obvious and getting dressed, we will reduce this time to eleven minutes of actual sex.

Eleven minutes. The world revolves around something that takes only eleven minutes. It is because of these eleven minutes in a 24-hour day (considering that all make love with their wives, every day, which is truly absurd and a complete lie), that they marry, sustain a family, put up with the children crying, overdo themselves in explanations when they arrive home late, look at dozens or hundred of other women with whom they would like to stroll around Lake Geneva, buy expensive clothes for themselves, and even more expensive clothes for their wives, pay prostitutes to make up for what was missing without knowing what it is, sustain a gigantic industry of cosmetics, diets, gymnastics, pornography, power – and when they get together with other men, contrary to what the myth says, never talk about women. They talk about jobs, money and sport. There is something very wrong with civilization. "

  • Purim , Valentine's Mardi Gras

I tend to dabble, as is my Gemini wont a bit of this and a bit of the other. Suddenly the penny drops and it all comes together.

    PURIM

Purim , Valentine's Mardi Gras .. festivals , celebrating , love and joy, partying , having fun , masked and unmasked. First with masks on, masquerading , then the masks come off to reveal authenticity.

THe idea of peeling away layers, like layers of the onion , or dance of the seven veils , to excite and to reveal .

" Purim, Have We Met? " said the ad for a party organised by www.kabbalah.com. The text read :

" The Sages teach that whatever it is we so desperately seek outside, exists within. But due to a lack of understanding what our true nature is — God — we go about our business falsely thinking our fulfillment exists out there.

Purim is the one night of the year the Sages advise drinking and dressing up — along with prescribed kabbalistic technology — to shake off the illusions and to allow our true selves to step into the spotlight.

Please join us for one of the best nights of the year! "

Apparently Purim is around the 14th or 15th . Without going into details and history and why .. it sounds like a good idea.

  • Another Valentine's day comes to an end

    It's been a good day.

Meeting my soul sisters / peer group was great. These women know me and I know them after doing the 4 year Ps training together.( years now . We know each other's innermost thoughts and feelings or have a pretty good idea and nearly always manage to have a good time together when we meet which we try and do once a month It's a luxury these days since we are all busy . Pasta, salad and wine always tastes good.Laughter.

There's been a sense of harmony about today which is sweet inspiring and contageous . That's my story and I'm sticking to it . Every day is potentially a good friends day .

  • Sonnet XVII, Pablo Neruda

    sunset

    Sonnet XVII

I don't love you as if you were the salt-rose, topaz
or arrow of carnations that propagate fire:
I love you as certain dark things are loved,
secretly, between the shadow and the soul.

I love you as the plant that doesn't bloom and carries
hidden within itself the light of those flowers,
and thanks to your love, darkly in my body
lives the dense fragrance that rises from the earth.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where,
I love you simply, without problems or pride:
I love you in this way because I don't know any other way of loving

but this, in which there is no I or you,
so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand,
so intimate that when I fall asleep it is your eyes that close

  • Need help?

"Asking for help doesn’t mean that we are weak or
incompetent. It usually indicates an advanced
    level of honesty and intelligence."

    -- Anne Wilson Schaef

The path of healing begins with awareness that
things can be different. We must be willing to open
to the potential, the possibility for change.

We also need to acknowledge that we are not in
this experience alone, without support. The divine
power of love is here for us, if we are willing
to open to receive it. Sincerely ask for help and
loving support will manifest in both mundane and
    magical ways.

"The healthy, the strong individual, is the one
who asks for help when he needs it. Whether he has
an abscess on his knee or in his soul."

  • This is my heart

    This is My Heart

This is my heart. It is a good heart.
Bones and a membrane of mist and fire
    are the woven cover.
When we make love in the flower world
my heart is close enough to sing
to yours in a language that has no use
    for clumsy human words.

My head is a good head, but it is a hard head
and it whirs inside with a swarm of worries.
What is the source of this singing, it asks
and if there is a source why can't I see it
    right here, right now
as real as these hands hammering
    the world together
    with nails and sinew?

This is my soul. It is a good soul.
It tells me, "come here forgetful one."
And we sit together with a lilt of small winds
    who rattle the scrub oak.
    We cook a little something
to eat: a rabbit, some sofkey
then a sip of something sweet
    for memory.

This is my song. It is a good song.
It walked forever the border of fire and water
climbed ribs of desire to my lips to sing to you.
    Its new wings quiver with
    vulnerability.

Come lie next to me, says my heart.
    Put your head here.
It is a good thing, says my soul.

"No!" said the committed student, "I will work three times as hard."

"Well then," said the Zen master, "it will take 30 years."

Valentine's day , 14th February is the day after tomorrow. It's big in the USA and getting bigger here.

    Love is fine.

I am a big fan of love , but organised loving restricted to one particular day of the year - that's ridiculous. Here's your card . And here's yours .DUhhhhh . Every day is Valentine's day in my book.

I love being told " I love you " it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Getting a Valentine's card on the day is great, nice ,a yummy special awwwwwwww feeling that makes your toes curl and go all gooey inside.

but what if you don't get any ? :(

Does getting no cards say that your are not loved ?:(:**:
    Nahhhh of course not.:D

It simply means that your friends don't go in for this commercial nonsense.

  • Principles of the 4th Way

The Fourth Way begins with self-study. This study involves observing ourselves as a human machine. What we are, however, is more than a sleeping machine. Through specific efforts over a long time and with outside guidance, we can awaken the Sleeping Beauty within us.

    Principles of the 4th Way:

    - Know thyself
    - See What Is Not Thyself
    - Be thyself

Socrates said, "The unexamined life is not worth living." Self-study involves seeing ourselves as we are, and struggling with the characteristics of our being that prevent us from developing further:
    - We Lack Unity
    - We Lose Energy
    - We Lie

  • Ouspensky and the fourth way

My shrink told me right at the end of today's session that I might be interested in the 4th dimension . or the 4th way , and that Ouspensky is the chap who has written about it. Everything originates in the 4th dimension he said.

Now why did he tell me that?
He also said something about working on sensitivity at a social level. Sensitivity is both a boon and a blessing.

I use my intuition and sensitivity a lot , but sometimes harsh critcism seeps through and that hurts.

I wish I'd listened more. It was so seduced by the exotic sounding OUspensky name that I stopped listening .. so off I go , in search of the miraculous now.:D

  • Anyone doing the G. I. method ?

I'm not into loosing weight - I am quite happy with my voluptious body , but I would like to have more energy and feel healthier.

A friend was enthusing about this method and said that you didn't have to give up bread and potatoes forever - but for the first two weeks. Well , I've done that now and I'm already FEELING better . Thing is , since I don't eat meat , I am having to be creative regarding sources of protein.Chease is tricky because I 'm supposed to avoid dairy products.

Fish is ok , but not every day.
Any tips ? Ideas anyone ?

  • A warm refuge

From today's Daily OM ... A Warm Refuge in Best Friends

By the time we reach adulthood, many of us have had the good fortune to have at least one best friend. If we have moved around or changed our life situation repeatedly, we may be lucky enough to have had several. The best friend relationship is often our earliest intimate peer relationship, and it can be a source of great warmth and connection throughout our lives. The details of best friendship change as we grow up and grow older, but the heart of it remains the same. Our best friends are a warm refuge in which we feel free to be fully ourselves, to share our deepest secrets, to rest when we are tired, to celebrate when we are happy-a place in which we feel utterly welcome to give and receive that most precious of all gifts, love.

Most intimate relationships hit bumps from time to time, and one of the hallmarks of an enduring best friendship is its ability to ride out the turbulence and remain intact even as it faces changes. Our best friends are those who manage to love us through all of our transitions, as we do the same for them. We find ways to embrace and appreciate the differences that set us apart and offer love and support no matter what. We allow each other to be exactly as we are at a given moment, even as we allow each other to change over time. In this way, best friends sometimes feel like family. We know we will stick together regardless of where our individual paths lead.

We may be on the phone with our best friends every day, or we may not have spoken for a year, yet we know that our bond will be strong and immediate when we do connect. This bond ties us together even when we are apart and draws us blissfully back into the warm refuge of each other's company when our paths bring us together again.

  • Anything you desire, the Universe can find a way to let it happen

Anything you desire, the Universe can find a way to let it happen within the context of people’s natural, joyful desires. It must be, for this is a joy-based Universe.

And so, as you watch children playing in the mud and having great joy in it, you might not enjoy playing in the mud, but they do. And so, there’s somebody enjoying doing something you don’t want to do. And that pretty much applies to everything. There’s someone who would enjoy doing every thing that you don’t want to do. And if it really came down to where there was really not one person willing to do that thing, you would develop another way of approaching it. There are a lot of things that were in your history that you no longer participate in. You left them behind because no one wanted to do them.

    From Wikipedia,

" Immanence, derived from the Latin in manere "to remain within", refers to philosophical and metaphysical theories of the divine as existing and acting within the mind or the world. This concept generally contrasts or coexists with the idea of transcendence."

This is how pictures and symbols work- how messages and associations appear.

  • Snake dream

Woke up at 5 am for a short while , wondering about the exact date of a friend's ( L.G's) birthday. It's the 16th not the 26th. Knowing that I could go back to sleep.

The good thing about waking up like that is that I get to remember my dreams. I realised that my snake , pet python needed feeding. It hadn't been fed for a while so I was going to put him in my brown leather bag and take him to the vets , since that was the place that had mice. The snake kept escaping from the bag and I afraid that it might freeze because it is -10C outside. The other thought I had was that feeljng the cold it would go into hibernation without being fed ! Also in the dream , a friend of mine had been bitten by the snake. Can't have been mine though , as pythons don't bite . Lol Freud would have a field day with this one.

  • Sensory escapism

I've fasted a couple of times in my life to detox and give my stomach a well deserved rest, ten days at a time. The first few days are the most difficult, after that , a sort of high and light- headedness.

I really missed eating so I'd browse through all my recipe books and literally feast on the colourful glossy pictures of food and savoured the words used to describe food.
    e.g.chocolate :

    Fine flavour
    irresistible
    a tradition redolent of poetry
    exotic journeys,
    evolving flavours,
experience and know-how to fulfill our desires for sensory escapism.
The dull crackling sound when you break a tablette,
the intense flavour of the first piece you bite into,
the desire to take another bite to relish - all this is part of the pleasure when you eat a tablette.

Tablettes are savoured slowly, like a call to meditation.
Their particular aromas make them truly delectable.
This is gourmet chocolate par excellence,
    with no pretension or posturing.

    mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm oooooooooooooooooooooooo ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !

    It's the weirdest taste.
    First the chocolate that melts

Michael Beckwith came across very strongand believable for me in the film . I really resonated with the way he spoke and explained things.

  • Word of the day : UVULA

Uvula: The small piece of soft tissue that can be seen dangling down from the soft palate over the back of the tongue. The uvula is described variously shaped like a U, a tear or a grape. Its name comes from the Latin word for "grape," uva.

The uvula has its own little muscle, the musculus uvuae, to help it stiffen and change shape, ( oooh la la ) so it helps fill in the space at the back of the throat. It helps keep food from going down the wrong way down the breathing passage when one swallows. Singers credit the uvula with letting them produce a vibrato, a wavy up-and-down sound. ( it's a useful little appendage )

The uvula is one of the soft-tissue structures commonly blamed for snoring and for sleep apnea (a break in breathing during sleep). Some treatments for these conditions involve removing excess flesh from the uvula and surrounding areas.( YUK .. don't fancy that ) The surgery, called uvulopalatopharyngoplasty, ( repeat after me .... ) is designed to tighten up flabby tissues and enlarge the upper air passages.

  • That little bean thingy at the back of the throat

What's that little bean thingy called at the back of the throat ? Is it the epiglotis ? Well, I've noticed that when I am really tired I tend to snore and in the morning that little bean like thing is sore !! lol .

I must have ben dancing with the devil all night.

Dreamt I was dancing . I was invited to dance together with half a dozen women dressed in flimsy tuquoise dresses. We danced in a circle and I was dragging my feet a bit but they were pulling me along . Maybe they were the Devils little imps ?

Then, when I opened the door to let more guests in , a dark man, with curly hair and glasses came in through the door at which point I woke up .

  • Thought of the day

There is a stage of evolution in one's life when one arrives at a
state when every question is answered by the life around him. The
answer to his question comes as the re-echo of the very question.
For every thought of a sage, everything becomes an accommodation to
help it to resound; and in this resonance there is an answer. In
point of fact the answer is in the question itself. The answer wells
up from the depth of all existence, like the sound of a bell being
    struck, or the splash of water, or the crackle of a firecracker;
each reveals its condition when struck, like the knock on the door.

  • I'm going to be " The Devil " t oday

I'm going to be The Devil today..
that's the card that came up.
    Tarot card that is .
    It's come up before too.
Obviously has a message for me.
An invitation to confront the inner world ?
YEs , To face fears and inhibitions inorder to foster awareness and growth.

    deviltarot

This is one of the most misunderstood of all the major arcana.
Maybe it is alerting me to misunderstandings- not to assume - things aren't lways waht they appear to be.Appearences can be deceptive.

The Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan - half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius which are are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behaviour and unbridled desires.

The Devil is ruled by Capricorn, which also means ambitions, temptations and addictions.

Life on this earth can be seen as an experiment in duality and the Devil plays a main role. I am remionded that life on earth is a cosmic game of becoming aware and the Devil is here to help me become aware of what otherwise would remain hidden.

How does a fish know that it is in water unless it is thrown ashore and has to gasp for air ?

The Devil is here to help us experience the material things of this world. All the worldy pleasures and experoiences available to us. Form as opposed to abstraction. Physical as opposed to spiritual, thought the spiritual is in EVERYTHING, even the Devil.

It is through the BODY after all, that we experience the world. We constantly need to embody experiences for them to become real.I need to be more in the body, to listen to the signals of my body. When I don't I over do things and then I lose my voice , for example.

Also , what about manipulation , obsessive thoughts and behaviour, compulsive behaviour ?

Questions to ask when this card appears:

In what areas of my life am I not free?
    How am I compulsive ?
    What controls me ?
    What do I control ?
What do I associate with this card ?
What do I know about the dark side of my nature ?
What or who am I addicted to ?Tarotdevil

In general the Devil shows up conscious or unconsious needs - the need to make your partner dependent on you or the need to be dependent or bound.

The Devil is tricky - we make think we are in control , when in fact we are puppets dancing to the Devil's tune. The Devil plays , and we dance, oblivious and unaware that he is pulling all the strings.

I am going to see where the Devil takes me today .
Maybe will write more later , at the end of the day.

  • It's great to get away

It's great to get away, especially off season and during the week, not a weekend. Prices are reasonable , special campaigns everwhere. You travel with with the men in suits and few high-powered women in suits.

Plenty of time is a must to allow for worry free transfers to the airport. These days I've learned to check myself in at one of those machines using my Eurobonus card. It's dead easy - you just touch the screen and answer questions and your boarding card and luggage tag comes out easy peasy. Then all you have to do is drop you bag at a queue free check in. On the way back I was allowed to check in first class , cos it happened to be free , AND ,, my little red case decorated with six luminous butterflies came out first ! It's never happened before .I was right chuffed.

The train transfer from Brussels to Antwerp is a little more complicated when you haven't done it before. They keep changing the platforms and the announcements aren't understandable.Schmergidergi language ;-) People are so helpful though . EVeryone I met was very friendly, chatty and helpful. Earth angels , the lot of them. So impressed.

A girl from Bangladesh who lived in Antwerp helped me first. Her English was excellent. she worked for Sony and was an ambitious career climber who was frustrated and stuck because of an obstinate nasty boss who insisted in standing in her way, despite her loyalty, hard work, skills and merits.

FOund the hotel easily , right opposite the Central Station- which by the way is amagnificent grand building.

My room was lovely- everything worked. The bath was huge and there was a bidet too. I'd brought special laveder bath salts with me so I must have had at least 6 baths while I was there lol .. I love baths .... and I don't have one at home , so it was BLISS.. you can't imagine.

A huge buffet breakfast was included and my eggs were cooked fresh for me on the spot. Fruit too and a machine that you fed with bread and it came out as toast :D

I could get used to this life style... big comfy bed and bath ... yes, and I am a happy camper.

Wish I had pics to post - so many images and impressions imprinted in my head CPU .

  • Hand throwing in Antwerp

    handthrowing

There I was , happily drinking my café alongé , nibbling my yummy still warm crusty and flaky croissant while gazing out of the window onto the statue in the middle of the De Grote Markt. Antwerp.

" Oh, that's the statue depicting the story of how Antwerp got its name " says Rammy , one of the two owners of the café.

" You see , there was once a monster who lived near the river and would ask everyone who crossed the river to pay a toll. If they refused, he would chop off their hand . He continued to do this until the hero Brabo came along and cut off the moster's hand instead . ".

Hence the name Ant- werpen from Dutch "hand werpen " = hand-throwing.
    So now we know;)

  • Keep quiet

    That which is, is peace.
All that we need do is to keep quiet. ¨

  • Silence is golden

No voice today. Must have overdone it yesterday. Not a good idea to talk a lot over a cold.

My need to express is great. Must learn to express effortlessly and joyfully.

Anyone have a superdooper remedy for lost voice ?

I intend to maintain noble silence ALL DAY !
    Yep.
    Typing only .
    Writing only.
    Rest and enjoyment.

  • Knackered

I am knackered ....been up since 7am doing things that needed to be done before people arrive at 10:00 all set to discover the Tarot as a tool for personal development, 10am - 6pm Was intensive and fun but now I'm all done in

T participants had the Osho Zen Tarot - a strange kind of Tarot thatfocuses on the NOW. It follows the Tarot structure with one extra card in the major arcana and all the names are different so not at all like the traditional Tarot or even most Tarot decks. They were very easy read withoutany prior knowledge of what the cards meant.

It will be nice to stay in tomorrow , do remaining mountain of laundry, just potter around and pack. Going away for a few days on Monday :p hurray

  • With love and gratitude

    To the sacred fire, thank you;

    To the plants, thank you;
    To the animals, thank you;
    To humanity walking on the path of evolution, thank you;
    To all of the angels, thank you;
    To the cosmic intelligence which created my thought, thank you;
    To the ocean of love which created my sensibility, thank you;
    To the universal life which impregnated my future with the seed of individuality, thank you;
To all of the beings of the world, I give my "thank you" within Him, the unique Source who unites all beings within the origin and the goal."

  • DiscoveringTarot tomorrow

I'm all set for my Tarot workshop tomorrow. :p My printer wouldn't work - the black and white cartridge is full but the colour one is empty and it won't work . I had to go down to the local library and use their computers and copier which worked out well. They were ever so nice and helpful. Bless them.

All that remains now is to go round with the vacuum cleaner to shift some dust around and maybe mop the kitchen floor if I can be bothered tomorrow . I won't let them in there - kitchen will be off limits.

I've made potage au carottes ( carrot soup ;-) ) , home made bread and cream cheese for lunch and cranks gingernuts for tea. That should keep us going. The soup can simmer away for a couple of hours in its iron couldron tomorrow morning and I'll add cream and liquidise it just before serving . Voila .:DD

Alarm set for 7 am .. I'll wake up slowly ....and be all bright eyed by 10 a.m. hopefully . B)

  • Why write things in stone ?

Why write things in stone when everything is of a changing nature.
Each moment is a new moment, a fresh moment.

I just watched a BBC open uni programme about Leonardo Da Vinci. A genius who continuously questioned everything and rarely finished things.
Apparently the comissioned painting of Mona Lisa was unfinished. Is it true ? Or , did he just say that to hold on to her a little longer and keep her for himself ?

What is the truth ? The original and essential message of all religions gets distorted as when it is written down and translated.

Take the Lord's prayer for example.
I came across this translation from the oripinal Aramaic which resonates with me far more than the one we hear today .

O, Birther of the Cosmos, focus your light within us -- make it useful
Create your reign of unity now
Your one desire then acts with ours,
    As in all light,
    So in all forms,
Grant us what we need each day in bread and insight:
Loose the cords of mistakes binding us,
As we release the strands we hold of other's guilt.
Don't let surface things delude us,
But free us from what holds us back.
From you is born all ruling will,
The power and the life to do,
    The song that beautifies all,
From age to age it renews.
I affirm this with my whole being.

The Lord's Prayer as translated from the Aramaic by Saadi Neil Douglas-Klotz of the Sufi Order of the West

  • Good morning

Good morning. Today is a good day.
After usual s&s meditation and reflection bridging dreamworld and mundane reality.
Have been drinking sage tea for sore throat and phelgm that has been gathering in throat and lungs. Feeling a bit feak and weeble but in good spirits.
Am able to OMMMMMMM a very deep base OMMMMMM today. Hardly recognise my own voice
Feeling and allowing the breath of the Universe to flow through me with love and ease.
IMBOLC .. full moon .... the promise of spring
    The sleeping serpent awaking
    Kundalini energies rising
Soon the saps will be rising. My ancestors tapped and drank birch sap , a fortifying invigorating tonic.
Later it was stored together with raisins in jars in cool underground cellars. I think it fermented there and was possibly sparkling and bubbly by midsummer, potent too, no doubt ;-)

A big bunch of red orange and yellow tulips add a blaze of colour in contrast with the grey and white bleakness of the world outside.Think I'll plant a few crocuses in a bowl and keep them on the coffee table
