DiscoveringTarot tomorrow

by miramaze @ Friday, 02. Feb, 2007 - 23:59:06

I'm all set for my Tarot workshop tomorrow. :p My printer wouldn't work - the black and white cartridge is full but the colour one is empty and it won't work . I had to go down to the local library and use their computers and copier which worked out well. They were ever so nice and helpful. Bless them.

All that remains now is to go round with the vacuum cleaner to shift some dust around and maybe mop the kitchen floor if I can be bothered tomorrow . I won't let them in there - kitchen will be off limits.

I've made potage au carottes ( carrot soup ;-) ) , home made bread and cream cheese for lunch and cranks gingernuts for tea. That should keep us going. The soup can simmer away for a couple of hours in its iron couldron tomorrow morning and I'll add cream and liquidise it just before serving . Voila .:DD

Alarm set for 7 am .. I'll wake up slowly ....and be all bright eyed by 10 a.m. hopefully . B)

Why write things in stone ?

by miramaze @ Friday, 02. Feb, 2007 - 12:37:21

Why write things in stone when everything is of a changing nature.
Each moment is a new moment, a fresh moment.

I just watched a BBC open uni programme about Leonardo Da Vinci. A genius who continuously questioned everything and rarely finished things.
Apparently the comissioned painting of Mona Lisa was unfinished. Is it true ? Or , did he just say that to hold on to her a little longer and keep her for himself ?

What is the truth ? The original and essential message of all religions gets distorted as when it is written down and translated.

Take the Lord's prayer for example.
I came across this translation from the oripinal Aramaic which resonates with me far more than the one we hear today .

O, Birther of the Cosmos, focus your light within us -- make it useful
Create your reign of unity now
Your one desire then acts with ours,
As in all light,
So in all forms,
Grant us what we need each day in bread and insight:
Loose the cords of mistakes binding us,
As we release the strands we hold of other's guilt.
Don't let surface things delude us,
But free us from what holds us back.
From you is born all ruling will,
The power and the life to do,
The song that beautifies all,
From age to age it renews.
I affirm this with my whole being.

The Lord's Prayer as translated from the Aramaic by Saadi Neil Douglas-Klotz of the Sufi Order of the West

Good morning

by miramaze @ Friday, 02. Feb, 2007 - 12:27:40

Good morning. Today is a good day.
After usual s&s meditation and reflection bridging dreamworld and mundane reality.
Have been drinking sage tea for sore throat and phelgm that has been gathering in throat and lungs. Feeling a bit feak and weeble but in good spirits.
Am able to OMMMMMMM a very deep base OMMMMMM today. Hardly recognise my own voice
Feeling and allowing the breath of the Universe to flow through me with love and ease.
IMBOLC .. full moon .... the promise of spring
The sleeping serpent awaking
Kundalini energies rising
Soon the saps will be rising. My ancestors tapped and drank birch sap , a fortifying invigorating tonic.
Later it was stored together with raisins in jars in cool underground cellars. I think it fermented there and was possibly sparkling and bubbly by midsummer, potent too, no doubt ;-)

A big bunch of red orange and yellow tulips add a blaze of colour in contrast with the grey and white bleakness of the world outside.Think I'll plant a few crocuses in a bowl and keep them on the coffee table
