Snapdragon

You Are a Snapdragon

snapdragon

"Mischief is your middle name, but your first is friend. You are quite the prankster that loves to make other people laugh."

When I was about two or three years old , I climbed into the flowerbed in front of our house and picked a huge bouquet of snapdragons and proudly presented them to my mum

The full moon is approaching

by miramaze @ Friday, 30. Mar, 2007 - 14:08:49

Maybe that is why all the intensive dreams.
Going to sleep is so entertaining lol

" The analytical Virgo Moon allows us to use our critical thoughts to cut through the extraneous noise and to find efficient solutions to our problems. But we don't want to be forced to make any decision until we have gathered enough valid information to clarify our point of view. Although the Virgo Moon can make us appear very cool or even emotionally detached, our passion can be quite hot when we focus our feelings on the object of our love."

... so says my horoscope for today :)

A night of intesive dreaming - 4 dreams in all.First one about shopping with my gay friends - shoes and chocolate ; the second about the landlord or someone changing my name on the door and moving me to another flat downstairs without so much as a by your leave.. grrrrr ; the third one about teaching 9 year olds in a school that is absolutely huge - i have trouble finding the classroom and don't feel that I am at all suited to the job of teaching 9 year olds. Finally a dream that is like something out of a " Carry On " film , bourlesque and hilarious

Choosing Not To Look Away

by miramaze @ Thursday, 29. Mar, 2007 - 11:50:18

This appeared today in The Daily OM , just a few days after my own encounter wuth a homeless man.

March 29, 2007 Choosing Not To Look Away
Helping The Homeless

Homeless people in our communities are a fact of life, especially in big cities. Many of us don't know how to interpret this situation or what we can do to help. We may vacillate between feeling guilty, as if we are personally responsible, and feeling angry, as if being homeless is entirely on their shoulders.

The situation is, of course, far more complex than either scenario. Still, not knowing how to respond, we may fall into the habit of not responding at all. We may look over their heads and not make eye contact, or look down at the ground as we pass, falling into a habit of ignoring them. Each time we do this, we disconnect ourselves from a large portion of the human family, and it doesn't feel right.

Most of us know in our hearts that the homeless and the poor are not so very different from us. They may be the victims of poor planning or an unavoidable crisis. Some of them are mentally ill, some are addicted to drugs or alcohol, and some are choosing to be homeless for reasons we may never understand. We can imagine that, given their lives, we would likely have ended up in the same place. This does not mean that we are meant to rescue them as they are on their own learning path, but it does remind us that we can treat them as equals, because that is what they are. Even if we aren't able to offer food, shelter, or money, we can offer a blessing as we pass. We can look them in the eye and acknowledge our shared humanness, even if we don't know how to help them. This simple act of kindness and silent or spoken blessings can be helpful to those living on the street.

If you want to help with information, you can learn about the services in your area and share the locations of food banks, shelters, and other resources. As parents, perhaps you would like to plan ahead, talking with your children about how as a family you would like to handle these situations. Whatever you decide to do, you will feel much better when you make a conscious choice not to simply look away.

It's a relief to know that I don't have to RESCUE but I also remind myself not to look away.

Avocado and Herbamare

by miramaze @ Tuesday, 27. Mar, 2007 - 22:31:56

HERBAMARE and TROCAMARE herb salt is readily available in shops and supermarkets here in Sweden but not so common in the U.K. Every time I go over I have half a dozen cartons of the stuff in my suitcase.

"Fresh organic vegetables and herbs are combined with natural sea salt and allowed to steep for many weeks to integrate the full flavour into the salt crystals. Ideal to add flavour when cooking or as a table salt. Available in: 90g , 250g , 500g "

http://www.bioforceshop.co.uk/products/products/food/herbamare

WARNING .. it is addictive lol try it on tomatoes and avocados ,, mmmmm mama ! Delicioso !

" A free spirit like you should not be surprised to be matched to an outdoor venue for the call of the wild. We get the feeling that you're more tuned into green issues than you may realise, so why not take the hippy hobby of tree hugging a step further by hugging under a tree? Or even in the middle of a field? Ah, we can just imagine the sensations, a sun kissed breeze caressing the areas that are normally confined and covered up. The melodious warbles of the birds in the trees enhancing the bass line beat of your heavy breathing. Not to mention the thorns that stick into your bum, the ants that run up your leg, or the passing pigeon that drops a message of good luck on you. Doing the wild thing outdoors is a bed of roses, beautiful, but with the potential for personal injury and embarrassment. However, we know that you're not one to be put off by a challenge, so we're sure that between the two of you, you'll manage to rise to the occasion. "

hehehehe .... well well ... I do love swimming naked in the warm salty mediterranean sea ;) or white not something even more exotic ?

Piano for sale

piano1

My beautiful old piano needs a good home and owner. It's been with us for over 50 years ,resting silently in my mother's dining room in excellent condition although it does badly need tuning.

It's an Oscar Lobl, at a guess made around 1914, probably imported for Oscar Lobl from Germany. It las lovely mother-of-pearl decorations and a fine ivory keyboard.

All comments and offers welcome. I want to see it go to a good owner and nice home.

Recovering

by miramaze @ Monday, 26. Mar, 2007 - 14:08:34

springsunRecovering now after an intensive weekend. I am drained ,   I feel drained , but happy . My life force is very much present while energy is at a temporary low. Replenishing is happening with every breath I take. Outside the sun is shining, its life giving rays getting stronger. The need for heavy cumbersome clothes and warm cover ups is getting less. Stepping outside is getting easier and easier.

It feels good to take part in something that is really meaningful and worthwhile. I feel honoured . Sharing and contributing to an experience that leads to growth, opening and awareness is a great gift for which I am very grateful.

Digesting now all thoughts, impressions, insights and awarenesses around the theme of sexuality.

global orgasm and more

by miramaze @ Saturday, 24. Mar, 2007 - 08:37:28

Morning all ... just had ...er... I found a Global Orgasm ! that's actually the name of site and the event asks our 5 questions .

The Event

WHO? All Men and Women, you and everyone
you know.

WHERE? Everywhere in the world, but especially in countries with weapons of mass destruction.

WHEN?
Winter Solstice Day - Friday, December 22nd,
at the time of your choosing, in the place of your choosing and with as much privacy as you choose.

WHY? To effect positive change in the energy field of the Earth through input of the largest possible surge of human energy a Synchronized Global Orgasm. There are two more US fleets heading for the Persian Gulf with anti-submarine equipment that can only be for use against Iran, so the time to change Earth’s energy is NOW!

http://www.globalorgasm.org/

The global orgasm has been .. and yet ... we are multi- orgasmic beings, are we not ?

I like the idea of a synchronised global orgasm .. for peace .. love ... well - being .. pleasure .. and NOT WAR !

Blessed be our lovemaking and all our orgasms !
May we stay open to the penetration of love and happiness and surrender only to BLISSSSSSSSSssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss !

Love and peace in all dimensions .. tata for now xx

Very briefly

by miramaze @ Thursday, 22. Mar, 2007 - 13:24:51

dali

I was talkng to my friend L.L. in Siberia this morning .. about life and its ups and downs, about how crazy it all is. I agree , most of us are insane since we tell ourselves lies thinking it is the truth.

Some people , Like Salvador Dali shake us up by showing us other realities and ways of looking at things .

I was reminded of this quote by Tibetan Nyingma Master - Longchenpa Rabjampa - 14th century

Since things neither exist nor don't exist,
are neither real nor unreal,
are utterly beyond adopting and rejecting -
one might as well burst out laughing.

PRICELESS ! xxx

The Health-Wealth Connection

by miramaze @ Wednesday, 21. Mar, 2007 - 18:56:19

drchristianeNorthrup

" One of the most important messages I want to share with you is that our physical health (not just where you live and how much money you make) is created by the Law of Attraction too. The dilemma here is that most people do not consciously create sickness and ill health. It’s our subconscious beliefs and programming that do that. And this programming starts in the womb! Same with money problems. We don’t create them deliberately. To heal your money and your body, you have to bring your outmoded beliefs to consciousness and change them. The good news is that it’s possible to “treat” your money beliefs and improve your cash flow—in the same way that it’s possible to heal your body. "

http://www.drnorthrup.com/members/monthlywisdom/archive/mar2007.php

i can highly recommend Dr Christiane Northrup's book " Women 's bodies women's wisdom . " She is one wise woman , that one , offering both orthodox and alternative methods of healing.

" I urge you to take advantage of the enormous birthing energy of springtime to shore up both your financial and physical health. This is such an important time of year for new beginnings and for clearing out the old. Please make yourself and your health a priority this spring. Don’t wait for overwhelming debt or illness to force you into a crisis. Getting and staying healthy—both financially and physically—is the best way to serve your family, your community, and your planet.
Warmly, Christiane Northrup, M.D. "

About Peace Takes Courage

About Peace Takes Courage

Ava Lowery is the 16 year old peace activist from Alabama behind the website, PeaceTakesCourage. com, and has received an amazing amount of attention. Ava's animations show the multidimensional tragedy of the Iraq war- losses of brave young soldiers to American families, and loss of innocent civilians in Iraq. Poignant and raw, Ava's youth and sincerity has attracted support from a broad base of both soldiers and activists. But her unflappable determination has drawn its share of persecution, as well. Ava received death threats from angry Bush supporters after a particularly tragic piece, "WWJD," a heartbreaking montage of photos of wounded and bloodied Iraqi children shown while a child sings "Jesus Loves Me." Many wonderful people came to Ava's defense. Cindy Sheehan wrote an article of support for her "new friend... (who) is disgusted with the war and with the Bush regime." In July of 2006 she was awarded the Buzzflash "Wings of Justice" award. Ava also received strong support from friends in the blog world, and received a warm welcome at the highly successful Yearlykos Convention. These and many more friends have helped Ava's animations receive media acclaim (NYT, CNN, The Rolling Stone, etc...) and reach an unbelievable audience of Americans who are eager to learn the truth about the Iraq War.
