WELCOME to mira's merry maze of mirrors and miscellaneous mumblings . We are mirrors . Through you , I come to know myself. Without you , how can I know the places in me that are unkind and invisible ? You bring me to myself. THIS IS MAY NOT BE THE WHOLE TRUTH but it is an aspect of The Truth and I do continue to live simply in the rhythm of my soul.

Inspired by cookery programme on morning TV while in England - a recipe for DIY warm smoked salmon - easy peasy- takes 10 mins BUT a kitchen full of smoke !
Here's waht you do :
IMPORTANT line a heavy frying pan with foil and onto that pour equal amounts of RICE...TEA .... and BROWN SUGAR.
It is very important to line the pan with foil otherwise your pan ´will be ruined.
Place foil over the tea, rice and sugar and on top of the foil lightly greased with olive oil, place your fillet( s) of salmon and cover with yet another piece of foil
finally top with a lid.
10 minutes on high heat and your salmon is smoked to perfection - tastes good too .. BUT .. a kitchen full of smoke ! ![]()
Dipping into Taramasalata while catching up on two weeks of absence from blogging. This delicious dip is readily available outside of Greece at Morissons, Sainsburies, and M&S YET .. not here in Sweden. Absolutely yummy with wedges of toasted pitta bread which we can get here.
I also enjoyed fish and chips 3 times while I was away; twice in the village and once at Harry Ramsden's , Manchester Airport on the way home. What used to be a cheap supper is now quite expensive 5 pounds at Harry Ramsden's at the airport ( yummy batter ) and 2.75 - 3 pounds from chippies in the village- 15pounds for a family of 5 - that's quite a lot , innit for an ordinary meal ? I expect they are even more exoensive in London .
Oh .. and I also had crumpets
We can't get them here.
