Today is , sort of , an unofficial holiday here in Sweden. Many take the day off as 1st of May is a public holiday. Valborg , ( Walpurgis night ) like Halloween, has its roots in ancient pagan customs and superstitions.
At this time of year, the Vikings participated in a ritual that they hoped would hasten the arrival of Spring weather and ensure fertility for their crops and livestock. They would light huge bonfires in hopes of scaring away evil spirits.
Bonfires are still lit here and there's quite a bit of eating drinking and making merry that goes along with all that. It's also a good opportunity to get rid of rubbish that has acculmilated over the winte.
Some of the celebrating unfortunately gets out of hand , there are fights and brawls and hospitals have a hard time coping.
As with most other pagan festival's the Christian version is to celebrate
" Saint Walpurga (variants include Walpurgis, Valborg, Walburge, Wealdburg, Valderburger, Vappu), born in Wessex, ca. 710, died at Heidenheim, 25 February 779 was an English missionary in Germany. She was canonized on 1 May of ca. 870 by Pope Adrian II.
Together with her brothers, Saint Willibald and Saint Winibald, she travelled to Württemberg to assist Saint Boniface. She became a nun and lived in the convent of Heidenheim near Eichstätt, which was founded by Winibald. Walpurga died on 25 February 779 and that day still carries her name in the Catholic calendar, but for example in the Finnish, German and Swedish calendar, her feast day is 1 May, the date of Walpurgis Night. "
Apperently , Walpurga is the patroness of Eichstätt, Antwerp and other towns. I was in Antwerp only a couple of months ago and remember feeling power spots everywhere. I often wonder if the reason for us visiting certain towns and places in this life time is somehow linked to past lives.
In university towns like Uppsala and Lund, the traditions surrounding Walpurgis Night are strong and include choral singing, speeches and wearing white-topped graduation caps.

Watching " Six feet under " on Sunday evenings always puts me in a strange mood. Still, I do find the series most compelling despite all the dysfunctional characters.
I feel myself slipping into what I call " zombie mode ". Time to make a decision now . switch off the telly and go to bed, I think.
I 've remembered a few more silly jokes.
Doctor doctor , I feel like a pack of cards.
Sit over there and I'll deal with you later.
Doctor doctor , I'm having trouble falling asleep.
Just move to the edge of the bed and you'll soon drop off.
and finally ....
Doctor doctor , I feel like a pair of curtains.
Pull yourself together man !

Sunny spring Sundays are great for a walk in the park. This is Haga Parken , bit far from where I live.
There's a fine looking retro car just around the corner and MT's curiosity gets the better of her and she gets a closer look .
The Butterfly House has been taken over by new owners. Almost everyone was outside enjoying the sunshine. These goodiesstayed indoors.
MT's inner child likes to play. These little froggies got to go home with her.
The "Coppar Tent " a permanent feature in this park. You can picnick indoors when it rains and there is also a café.
This looks like a magnolia.. is it ?
A splash of yellow . Wonder what it is .

Lovely !
My friend D. leaves for New Zealand via Cape Town in two month's time. Bless him. Start of a new life all those miles away. What it must be like to do that? It must take a couple of days to get there from Stockholm. A whole new world. Sounds fascinating, especially the indigenous culture. I wonder if I would miss the old buildings of Europe? I'm still very much drawn to the old town part of towns when I visit.
Another friend , B. from Australia is planning to make a pilgrimage of a lifetime to trace her Prussian roots in Kaliningrad and visit the Amber Room in St Petersburg.
The world is getting smaller.
Also, I sense an urgency to do / experience / see things. I'm feeling it has to do with karma.Finding closure ? Resolving issues before moving on ?
Exploring relatonships is high on my agenda.

Watery itchy eyes nose and ears
Itching inside ears
Irritation
Feel like screaming and crawling out of my skin
Woke myself up from a frustrating dream this morning
One of those dreams that is so intense it feels real.
I'm nn my way to a party with many others
Someone has pinched the bottle of wine I was supposed to bring with me
where the heck is it ?
Noone says anythung
everyone simply ups and goes
"Friends don't do that"
I think to myself in the dream
but I see that they are all ignoring me
Noone is listening
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Took an Aerius tablet.
It's kicked in now

Sometimes I just like to drink red wine and potter around.
It's great being back at home after 3 days away.
I'm missing my friennd D.
So it goes.
When I woke up this morning it took my a while to know what day it was and where I was.
Blessed with a lovely sunny day.
which has flashed by so quickly.
Evening is here before you can turn around properly.
I haven't been drinking red wine all day just for the past few hours.
and I've savoured every drop.
This ligheaded soft and mellow state is beautiful
Poetic even
If I were a poet , I'd be writing poetry.
But I'm not , so I simply drift, daydream
and gaze at the silvery moon with its halo
that is gracing the middle of my living room picture window.
I gave myself a pedicure earliet on and I'm noticing that the skin on my feet is silky smooth.

There is a valley, lying at a rather high altitude in the foothills of the Himalayan-Tibet ranges. It is surrounded by high mountains on all sides except towards the northeast, where there is a narrow opening in the mountain ranges. The valley is bottle-shaped in contour, with the neck of the bottle to the northeast, and it widens very considerably towards the south. Up towards the northern end, close to the neck of the bottle, there a huge flat rock. There are no trees or shrubs in the valley, which is covered with a kind of coarse grass.
Approaching the time of the full moon of Taurus, pilgrims from the surrounding districts begin to gather. The holy men and the lamas find their way into the valley and fill the southern and the middle parts, leaving the northeastern end relatively free. There, so the legend runs, gathers a group of those great Beings Who are the Custodians on Earth of God's Plan for our planet and for humanity.

Full moon in Scorpio.
A truth or dare Full Moon;
Truth-telling transforms
A very intense Full Moon to put into action (through ritual release) the goals you set at the New Moon in Aries.
Releasing your intentions near a stream, river, lake, or ocean is particularly powerful.
Be brutally honestabout your intentions, purpose and goals
"Scorpio seeks deep truth by peeling back layers of lies and half-truths-within us and without us."
Time to see things as they truly are, not as you wish them to be.
We must return to sanity.
How many more deaths?
How many more bombs?
How many more shooting sprees?
How much more hatred?
How much more displaced anger?
When will we ever learn ?
Scorpio is tough love incarnate: see reality as it is, not as you wish it to be, and then deal with it in as life-supporting a way as possible.
Personal responsibility is important.
Stop blaming others.
There is always awareness and choice
the T-square between Uranus/Mars in Pisces, retrograde Jupiter in Sagittarius, and Venus in Gemini will create powerful conditions for expanded levels of open-mindedness, compassion, and generosity of spirit to be inwardly experienced and outwardly expressed.
This is going to be an incredible Full Moon to heal old and new wounds of all kinds
The Full Moon in Scorpio is the night for full disclosure.
It is the night to empower ourselves by naming our truth and shouting it from the rooftops.
This is the Full Moon to celebrate our right to know.
Use this day to effectively deal with workplace power/control issues that have festered under the surface of daily interactions.
The Full Moon in Scorpio is a powerful time for family ritual,
Those of us who can't take all of this deep disclosure can do something a bit more fun. Join your friends for a game of truth or dare, or create a mystery game or a treasure hunt. It'll be a hard night to pull the wool over anyone's eyes, but it might be a lot of fun to try!
So meet the challenge of this Full Moon in Scorpio. Go deep enough to face the underbelly of your life, your goals, your community, your nation, your government, and then arise to embrace your power to transform our violence-wary world!

It was fabulous. So much to see, feel, experience, smell, taste ..all these fabulous tips before leaving and In the end I just went with the flow and felt that I didn't want to just tick things off a list.
My 3 day Dublin Experience was Awesome. Just perfect in every way. Tailor made for me. Unique.
My friend D is a fabulous gracious generous fun host.I felt for him during the cricket match when South Africans lost to the Aussies. Sad. But there you are. While it's just a silly game as far as I'm concerned, I know that some people take competition seriously. Sad sad sad. Sighs. Ok grieving over. I'm off to Dublin's fair city to day.
Thinking aloud now ...
leave this evening and will be back three days later on Thursday evening.
Going round in circles is what I tend to do whenever I travel.
Packing is the problem
Not to take too much
Take what you need...but what is that ?
What to wear ?
Weather reports say rain
At home when it rains I tend to stay in, but it's not the same when travelling is it ? I want to see things too.
I know I'm thinking too much.
Everything will be fine.
My ticket needs printing out . As my printer isn't working
I have to go to the library to do that .
Won't take long , but it's just another item on the list I have in my mind.
I don't like making real lists.
I wonder why.
Question for another day, another time.
Hairdressers - trim hair.
Get euros at the bus terminal
Ryan Air leaves from Västerås and I've never travelled from that airport. 75mins from the centre of Stockholm by coach.
So, I need to leave from here around 6
Glad it's not in the morning.
Daz will meet me at the airport there.
Great

I took up oil painting again 4 years ago. simply because I love messing around with colours. It was scary though.
I was mostly scared of being judged " that 's not art " " That's not very good is it " "what's that supposed to be ? "
For 2 weeks I passed the blank canvas in my living room not daring to start. Then one evening, I sat down in front of the canvas,a piece of charcoal in hand , closed my eyes and went within connecting to my higher self.
" Let what needs to appear ...what needs to be expressed.. what needs to be made visible .. let it appear now "
And so it was.
Shapes started to emerge.
Then colours.
And so" My inner world " became visible.
I'm not saying it is ART.
I'm saying it is an expression of who I am.
If it pleases you, then fine .
If not , then fine.
All is well.

A lvely Sunday sunny morning of long phone calls from friends, reading blog comments , breakfast and "Everybody loves Raymond " on the telly.

When my son was little he asked me one day
" Mum , when are we going to get that lion "
What I had actually said was :
" We need a waffle iron "

During my psychosynthesis training we did many guided imagery journeys . Often these entailed climbing the moutain and having a chat with a wise being.
One of our teachers , American , guided us and was very surprised by the sharings afterwards.
" Mine was tall and spindly and very green ....)
" Mine was brown and round ..."
What most of us had met was a wise BEAN !

hehehehe

Mine's a Braun .. it's great for smoothies and for making soups and purées
@ Saturday, 21. Apr, 2007 – 23:17:56
Smoothies taste extra specially good after a walk round the lake.
Mine consisted of freshly squeezed orange juice, banana , lemon juice, raspberries and billberries. Vino red in colour. Blissfully tasty.
Apparently the red colour means that the fruit is full of anti-oxidants. The redder the colour the more anti- oxidants . Billberries look almost black because of all the anti oxidants.
Gosh I feel healthy.
A while later some pasta with a glass or two of Nottage Hill and avocado salad.
Film on the telly .. pottering around ... brief chat with meno on msn .... now time for bed.
I have the laundry room tomorrow morning, bright and early . Can't miss that , or else no clean clothes for Dublin trip.
Also saw the moon through the kitchen window. The silvery cresent is a bit bigger. The next full moon will be Wesak, right?
Wonder what else tomorrow will bring ?
Will have a chat with the moon now.Toodle pip ,pals.
May all sentient beings be well happy and peaceful.
PEACE , north south east and west PEACE.

I love waking up slowly.
It's a sunny, cold and crisp day.
I'm sort of taking stock of where I am , here and now.
I leave for Dublin on Monday.
to see Saffa Daz. We finally get to meet ! Daz was among the very first of my on line contacts
We met in a chat room on something called " Six degrees "- based on six degrees of separation. You had to be introduced by someone and then you were in their First degree and also got their friends who were in your second degree and so on.Sixdegrees was a fantastic place. Sadly it died and is no more but some of the people I met there remain in my life. Several I have met in real life.
Ther's Izah and Cyril for example.
Izah from Singapore was Cyril's friend initially .
Cyril, mother from Burma and father from Jemen lived in Newcastle.
Cyril invited Izah over to visit him in England and brought her over to Sweden for a week. The three of us had a wonderful time together.
Back to Daz who is charming man who introduces me to his girl friends who later become his exes. A free spirit , like myself . I think we understand each other. We both try to love unconditionally with no strings attached. It doesn't always work out and is a work in progress.
I feel both excited and scared meeting Daz after all this time. Now seems like a good time , because it seems he is moving to New Zealand in May and that is too far away.

" Greetings from MrsF , Lady Moon " saith I
" help her heal and feel good " I added
Lady Moon , she nodded .
" Aye , that I will " she saith
" Blessed be "
and winked

A whole week of preparing for Prof's 30th birthday and also sorting out papers , invoices and receipts for annual income tax returns, which have to be in by 2 May.
Sven came to pick up the books this lunchtime, bless him. My part of the work is done , so now it's up to Sven and the Angels to do the rest and fill in the forms. He doesn't mind doing it , in fact I suspect he even enjoys it , whereas for me this sort of thing is the cause of much anxiety, wailing and gnashing of teeth ( lol )
So, I feel knackered , but as if a huge weight has been lifted from me.
Bless you Svenn my dear friend. May spirit bless you with whatever you need to do this easily and effortlessly.
The Prof and I met Sven and Mrs Sven on their honeymoon in Cyprus about 25 years ago. We lived next door to them and still giggle about our fights with the cockroaches and the landlords who's only answer was " tomorrow .. tomorrow ".
Mr SVen got sunburnt too and was housebound for a couple of days.
Mr Sven and the prof both had their ears spooled by the local doc and suddenly the Prof heard everything after a huge ball of wax wa( no kidding , the size of a marble ) came out of his ear !!
The Prof rode with Mr Sven on his bike to the beach.
NOw Mr and Mrs Sven are off to Barcelona to celbrate Mrs Sven's 50th birthday and they will be Joined by Mr Sven Jr who now lives in Copenhagen. A lovely lad too.

" It is a simple garment, this slipped-on world." this first line caught my eye as did the beautiful image

The Task
It is a simple garment, this slipped-on world.
We wake into it daily - open eyes, braid hair -
a robe unfurled
in rose-silk flowering, then laid bare.
And yes, it is a simple enough task
we've taken on,
though also vast:
from dusk to dawn,
from dawn to dusk, to praise, and not
be blinded by the praising.
To lie like a cat in hot
sun, fur fully blazing,
and dream the mouse;
and to keep too the mouse's patient, waking watch
within the deep rooms of the house,
where the leaf-flocked
sunlight never reaches, but the earth still blooms.

From this mornings reading
" We may never see the effects our blessing has had, but we can take comfort in the fact that we have provided grace for those that follow after us.
When you bless a room or an entire building, you leave a powerful message of love and light for all those who will come after you.
Your blessings thus have myriad effects on the environments through which you pass.
Old, stagnant energy is cleared, creating a vacuum into which fresh and invigorating energy can freely flow.
The space is thus rendered harmonious and nourishing, and it becomes a hub from which positive feelings are transmitted.
Intent is the key component of the blessings you leave in your physical wake. If your intent involves using your own consciousness as a tool for selflessly spreading grace, your blessings will never go awry.
Whether you feel more comfortable performing a solo blessing or prefer to call upon your spirit guides for assistance, visualize each space you enter becoming free of toxins, chaos, and negativity as you speak your blessing. Then imagine the resultant emptiness being replaced by pure, healing white light and loving energy. Even a quic! k mindful thought of love can bless a space.
This type of blessing is cumulative and will grow each time you bestow it. Try blessing every home, business, and office you visit for an entire week and observing the effects of your goodwill. Your affirmative energy footprint will help brighten your day as you contemplate your blessing's future impact on your siblings in humanity and your environment. "
Bless this space

Got up at 9 am this morning which is early for me.
I shall try and make a habit of going to bed around 11pm
so that I get to see more mornings.
Summer has hit and it seems like the whole of Stockholm is on holiday. Some very scantily clad people while some in anoraks and winter gear.
MA called from London, on her way to work. She’d been trying to get through to me on the phone for a few days without success. It has been quiet around here. I wonder if there is something wrong with my ground line. Mum also complained last week.
Session with H the shrink went well. Mostly about relationships
I learned that :
I can be happy without two way communication. i.e. it is possible.
My happiness does not depend on a good relationship with ARA.
Remember to ask myself “ What can I do for you to day , Mira ? “
I’m to make a list of what he/she should be like ( and isn’t )
It’s my thinking that stresses me out and makes me miserable
I am getting better at not censoring my negative thoughts straight away, but catching the negative feckers and turning them around.
Practice makes perfect.
Shed tears and felt a lot better.
Brilliant, this psychological hygiene.
On the way back , stopped off in town and bought GH her birthday present, Will be celebrating hers and JS’s birthday tomorrow. That’s 3 birthdays this week.
G’s present is a beautiful turquoise ceramic pot on little legs. Apart from the stunning colour it has potential – either as a plant pot or to hold coloured pens, brushes or whatever. Hope she likes it.
I’ve still to get J’s present – which will be oil paints. She wants to paint more. Must phone artist friend to see if I can get supplies at artist rates.

Don Miguel Ruiz's book, The Four Agreements is for many a life-changing book.
agreement 1
Be impeccable with your word - Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.
agreement 2
Don’t take anything personally - Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.

agreement 3
Don’t make assumptions - Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
agreement 4
Always do your best - Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.
I find that the second one is the most difficult one...but .. I'm getting there ! lol

10:15 pm . Iä' determined to get an early night. If I start now I'll be kn bed by 11pm and up by 9am at the latest.
Lots to do tomorrow.
Won't publish the to do list here
The melancholy that I've been feeling all day has lifted now. It's a sort of sweet heavy sadness around the heart. I don't know what that's about. It happens sometimes.
It's lovely to feel the sun again. I do hope this warmer weather stays and helps all the plants grow and the seeds to sprout.
Peace .................in all dimensions........love and peace. I am grateful for this beautiful day of peace

It was great today sitting on the balcony , wrapped in one of my sarongs. YEs , it was that warm . Incredible. The tree opposite near the oid post office is budding in a haze of green. The one on the right seems to be doing something too. Don't know what kind it is.
I've sowed a few seeds in one of the big pots, poppy and snap dragon that my mum gave me. Watered and covered with cling film . Will that be enough? I am not a gardener. Gardening is hit and miss thing with me. I am always delighted to see things grow and sprout. It now means that I will have to water them every day, even on a cold day. I hope I remember.
Time for a glass of red wine as the sun goes down
Cheers !

If you will look upon this time as a refreshing new beginning whereby you will utilize your own creative ability, you will find yourself filled with excited anticipatory emotion rather than an emotion of dread or fear.
As you set forth, through the power of your thought, a picture of that which you would like to experience, you will begin atracting others who are in harmony with those thoughts.
You all create from your current perspective, and ordinarily that perspective changes very slowly.
But the events that are taking place upon your planet will jolt you into a new perspective and many of the beliefs, and many of the habits, that have bound you to old perspective will no longer exist in your experience.
We encourage you to begin envisioning your life experience as you would like it to be, and we encourage you to be sensitive to the way that you feel as you set these thoughts into motion, seeking always that positive emotion that indicates deliberate and positive creation.
The Law of Attraction will assist you, for as you think of that which you want other thoughts will be attracted until you have completed the picture.
And since your actions always follow the path of your dominant intentions, you will find yourself very busily readying yourself for the exciting time that is before you.

Through the power of your thought, and through the
power of your intentions, you will draw those beings
to you who are harmonious in intent with you.
And you will repel those beings who are not
in harmonious intent with you.
If your intentions are not clear, then you will
attract confusion,
but as you are more specifically
defining, in every day,
what you want,
then you will, more specifically draw those individuals to
you that will enhance that.
As you attract those of like intent, you will have
joyous interaction. And as you recognize that the others who are of different intention need not influence your life experience or be attracted into
it then you will no longer feel that you need
armies to protect yourself or barricades to keep
the others away from you.
Then you will understand that by the power of your
thought you will not invite them into your experience.

SCENE I. Court of Macbeth's castle.
Enter BANQUO, and FLEANCE bearing a torch before him
BANQUO
How goes the night, boy?
FLEANCE
The moon is down; I have not heard the clock.
BANQUO
And she goes down at twelve.
FLEANCE
I take't, 'tis later, sir.
BANQUO
Hold, take my sword. There's husbandry in heaven;
Their candles are all out. Take thee that too.
A heavy summons lies like lead upon me,
And yet I would not sleep: merciful powers,
Restrain in me the cursed thoughts that nature
Gives way to in repose!
Enter MACBETH, and a Servant with a torch
Give me my sword.
Who's there?
MACBETH
A friend.
BANQUO
What, sir, not yet at rest? The king's a-bed:
He hath been in unusual pleasure, and
Sent forth great largess to your offices.
This diamond he greets your wife withal,
By the name of most kind hostess; and shut up
In measureless content.
MACBETH
Being unprepared,
Our will became the servant to defect;
Which else should free have wrought.
BANQUO
All's well.
I dreamt last night of the three weird sisters:
To you they have show'd some truth.
MACBETH
I think not of them:
Yet, when we can entreat an hour to serve,
We would spend it in some words upon that business,
If you would grant the time.
BANQUO
At your kind'st leisure.
MACBETH
If you shall cleave to my consent, when 'tis,
It shall make honour for you.
BANQUO
So I lose none
In seeking to augment it, but still keep
My bosom franchised and allegiance clear,
I shall be counsell'd.
MACBETH
Good repose the while!
BANQUO
Thanks, sir: the like to you!
Exeunt BANQUO and FLEANCE
MACBETH
Go bid thy mistress, when my drink is ready,
She strike upon the bell. Get thee to bed.
Exit Servant
Is this a dagger which I see before me,
The handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee.
I have thee not, and yet I see thee still.Art thou not, fatal vision, sensible
To feeling as to sight? or art thou but
A dagger of the mind, a false creation,
Proceeding from the heat-oppressed brain?
I see thee yet, in form as palpable
As this which now I draw.
Thou marshall'st me the way that I was going;
And such an instrument I was to use.
Mine eyes are made the fools o' the other senses,
Or else worth all the rest; I see thee still,
And on thy blade and dudgeon gouts of blood,
Which was not so before. There's no such thing:
It is the bloody business which informs
Thus to mine eyes. Now o'er the one halfworld
Nature seems dead, and wicked dreams abuse
The curtain'd sleep; witchcraft celebrates
Pale Hecate's offerings, and wither'd murder,
Alarum'd by his sentinel, the wolf,
Whose howl's his watch, thus with his stealthy pace.
With Tarquin's ravishing strides, towards his design
Moves like a ghost. Thou sure and firm-set earth,
Hear not my steps, which way they walk, for fear
Thy very stones prate of my whereabout,
And take the present horror from the time,
Which now suits with it. Whiles I threat, he lives:
Words to the heat of deeds too cold breath gives.
A bell rings
I go, and it is done; the bell invites me.
Hear it not, Duncan; for it is a knell
That summons thee to heaven or to hell.

It's been a hard day's graft.
The balcony needed tackling.
A right mess it was after the winter.
Not enough room to swing a cat on there,
not that you'd want to......
let alone sit there and bask in glorious sunshine
or relax with a glass of wine
First , removed vandalised bike that was sheltering there.
Manoeuvred it into the hall .
This was not easy as the tyres are completely flat.
Poor thing.
Next , removed all dead plants and cracked plant pots.
Filled three bags of rubbish.
Rejoiced at some of the herbs that had miraculously survived the winter.
Mint, rosemary or it may be thyme and chives and the ivy.
I think the lavender is dead , alas ,
Something , that I don't know what it is,has sprouted little green leaves.
I vacuum and vacuumed and started fixing the chairs.
A couple of hours of hard graft and thinking and planning.
Now showered all squeeky clean ,about to break open a bottle of wine.
Cheers !

I've loved this painting from the first time I saw it at the Tate Gallery in London. It's nothing I understand with my mind. Compelling. Haunting. Still. Obvious. Mysterious.
Burne-Jones, Edward
King Cophetua and the Beggar Maid
1884
Oil on canvas
109 x 46 in
Tate Gallery, London
Edward Burne-Jones and Alfred, Lord Tennyson
The Beggar Maid [Written 1833, published 1842. Note: this painting by Edward Burne-Jones was inspired by Tennyson's poem.]
Her arms across her breast she laid;
She was more fair than words can say:
Bare-footed came the beggar maid
Before the king Cophetua.
In robe and crown the king stept down,
To meet and greet her on her way;
'It is no wonder,' said the lords,
'She is more beautiful than day.'
As shines the moon in clouded skies,
She in her poor attire was seen:
One praised her ancles, one her eyes,
One her dark hair and lovesome mien.
So sweet a face, such angel grace,
In all that land had never been:
Cophetua sware a royal oath:
'This beggar maid shall be my queen!'
Who was king Cophetua ?

There was a yellowish spider on the bathroom ceiling last night. Spiders are usually black but this one looked quite delicate. A bit like this - though I did not get so close to it

I believe that when creatures cross our path , they serve as omens or messengers and come with subtle messages. So what could this spider have to say for himself ?
Among the various Native American traditions, spider medicine has been known to represent creativity.
The eight legs represent the four winds of change and the four directions on the medicine wheel, while the body is in the shape of the infinity symbol, which represents infinite possibilities.
Spider was said to have woven the alphabet, creating the means for people to communicate and record their history through language. Just like the Greek myth of the Fates, three women who weave the tapestry of life, spiders are said to weave the creative forces that bring forth the intricately symmetrical patterns of our lives.
" So if a spider has wandered into your line of sight, he/she could be reminding you of the infinite possibilities you can draw from to create your life. Perhaps her message is to check your email or "the Web" to see if communication you sent has captured something.
You might even want to refer to old journals to look for patterns recorded in your personal history. As spider weaves her web, you too can weave your reality and your future.
Her medicine could be reminding you that as the creator of your life you need to have the courage to reach out and create your own intricately beautiful and strong tomorrows.
If you don't pay attention, spider may feel the need to bite you to get your attention. ( this thought crossed my mind too )
If this happens, investigate what that part of the body represents to gain further information about your message from spider medicine. "

We must fill the inner child's needs appropriately
The inner child never goes away. It never grows up. It never dies. It is with us throughout our entire lives.
If we're not aware of our child's needs, then we are constantly trying to fulfill them unconsciously. The child within is unconsciously motivating all our behaviour . We may, for example , develop a subpersonality that's a workaholic because it's trying to make enough money to make the child feel safe and protected. But we end up forgetting about the child and spend our whole lives working hard . We may accumilate a lot of money and success, but none of it gives us the satisfaction we need because we've forgotten about the child who was the original motivating force.
I am learning to recognise and fill my inner child's needs

This came in the mail today and it made me think of freeasthe wind and others who are moving. I may have to say goodbye to my childhood home in the near future as the house is getting too big for mum to manage. Saying goodbye properly is a good thing.
The last time I moved was 12 years ago and we'd been living there for 13 years. Time flies. I was never especially attached to that place or the flat before that. I don't want to pre- decide what I will feel, but honouring and respecting a place that has been home is a lovely thing to do. Here's the article:

" When we move from one residence to another, we often get so caught up in the forward thrust of where we are going that we forget to properly say good-bye to the home we are leaving behind. Yet saying good-bye is an important part of moving forward. It gives us a sense of completion so that we are able to fully inhabit our new space, having left nothing of ourselves behind in the old one. In this way, we honor the space that has held and nurtured us. At the same time, we cleanse it and empty it of our energy so that the new residents can make the space theirs.
Plan a walk through your home that begins and ends at the front door. Ideally, you will be alone or accompanied only by a person who shared the space with you. Prepare yourself mentally to be as present as you can during this process. As you enter the house, you might say, "I have come to thank you for being my home and to say good-bye." You might touch the walls with your hands as you move through the house, or you might burn sage as an offering, as well as an energy cleanser. Spend some time in each room expressing your gratitude and gathering or releasing any lingering energy from the room. As you do this, you are freeing your home to embrace its new occupants. Remember to visit your outside spaces as well. Plants are especially sensitive to the energy around them and will appreciate your consideration.
As you make your way back to the front door, know that you have completed your final journey through your home and that you have honored and blessed it with this ritual of farewell. As you close and lock the door behind you, say one last good-bye. Now you can walk freely into your future and fully inhabit the new spaces that will keep you safe and warm. "

There are several trains they can catch
They've just missed one
The trains go from several different platforms
you have to be alert as the platforms keep changing
I get iritated at mum for some reason and start shouting at her
then feel ashamed
Dad is just quiet , a peacemaker ,
suggests something, b ut his suggestion is rejected
Mum dad and I go off in one direction
and the travellers in another
I notice I have some of their luggage
Will they make it to their train ?

I can't believe how many different products are included in this pet food recall. Cats and dogs have been reported sick and/or dying since before 20 February .
I was sent this information by my friends in the USA and posting it here in the hope that this info will be helpful for you or perhaps someone you know.
The problem was in wheat gluten that was bought from China. Wheat gluten is a filler product that is in a lot of supermarket brands of both cat and dog food. Melamine, a type of plastic is the poison that was found and it's possibly put in on purpose to supposedly boost the protein levels. So far millions of cans, pouches, and now dry foods and treats, have been recalled.

Fields of Consciousness
by Owen Waters
When Easter and Christmas come around, I often wonder - in
order for Jesus to achieve what he does on these occasions -
just how huge his field of consciousness must be.
Consider this. He promised that he would be present in spirit
whenever two or more people are gathered in his name. Even
today, after two thousand years, he still delivers on that
promise. Now, in order for him to be present in spirit in
thousands upon thousands of groups and congregations, all at
the same time, he has to be in thousands of places at once.
He has to be able to split his consciousness into many
thousands of parts, with each individual part being capable of
attending to one group. When someone in that group asks for
healing or spiritual support, the part of him attending to that
group senses the request and provides them with personal
support.
When you consider how huge this avatar-sized field of
consciousness must be, it becomes easier to see how Jesus
performed amazing miracles. By comparison, yogis who practice
for many years have been known to develop the ability to walk
on water. Jesus just went ahead and did it.
Some yogis are advanced enough to materialize small amounts of
physical matter right out of the ethers. Jesus not only
manifested loaves and fishes, but he produced enough to feed
five thousand people!
Some people - ones who can't see how miracles are achieved -
question whether Jesus' miracles actually did happen.
Personally, I don't doubt the miracles. To me, the biggest
mystery is how such a huge and powerful spirit managed to fit
his enormous field of consciousness into one small human body.
Because we are taught to think of our minds as being inside
our brains, we rarely think in terms of fields of
consciousness. In reality, the brain is inside the mind. The
mind is a field of consciousness. The brain is the hardware and
the mind is the software that enters it and makes it work. Even
though your brain started its existence in this life with no
physical memories, your mind existed long before it inhabited
your physical body.
Your brain uses just ten percent of its capacity for conscious
awareness. In addition to your conscious mind, your complete
consciousness includes the subconscious and superconscious
aspects of your mind.
Your subconscious mind holds the memories of all of your
experiences and incarnations since the beginning of time. It
also runs your body's autonomic biological systems. In doing
so, it displays a knowledge of biochemistry which goes far
beyond the reach of current science.
The largest part of your complete consciousness is your
superconscious mind. Also called the higher self or the soul,
this is the source of intuitive information. Your
superconscious mind is connected to Infinite Being, which is
the spiritual source of all things, and also to the entire
universe.
Your complete consciousness - the conscious, subconscious and
superconscious aspects of your mind - can also be referred to
as your inner being. Your conscious mind focuses its attention
towards what is perceived as the outside world, so it acts like
an outer being, although it's really one aspect of your
complete consciousness, your inner being.
There is ten times more to the brain than the one-tenth that
people are aware of each day. That means that people have at
least ten times the potential that they thought they had and,
thanks to the inner being's connection to Infinite Being, that
potential can go all the way up to infinity. You just have to
decide how much of your field of consciousness you intend to
use.
You can choose to pay attention to the still, small voice
within. You can choose to ask it for information to encourage
the flow of inner wisdom into your outer awareness. You can
also choose to follow your inner joy as it leads you towards
greater fulfillment in the adventure of life.

He ( my son ) forgot
( I'm missing the msn emoticon which has tears running doewn it's cheeks nd mascara running ... the ugly cry .. Iäm readig through what I've written before pressing "save"..a bit of distance already )
He was supposed to be here for brunch around 12 , so when it got to quarter past. No answer at home , No answer on mobile, left a cheerful message wondering what had happened ( while inside suspecting he’d forgotten )
I don’t like being forgotten, especially when I’ve made an effort.
So 12:30 he phones to say he’d forgotten. This time I can’t hold the tears back and sniff sniff sob sob say " I’m upset "
" It’s Easter brunch " ...I sniff
" I didn’t think Easter was such a big deal " says he
" It’s not , but it upsets me that you’ve forgotten .. I’d made a special effort and was looking forward to seeing you .. its been a while .... "
Silence
" I’m sorry ... I’ll come later ...."
It's wonderful how an " I'm sorry " can heal
He seems to be taken aback , not used to his mamma crying over the phone
So bottom line.. he’s coming later, at 6
It's good that he's got a lot of fun stuff going on, for that I'm happy, Mums are sensitive emotional beings .. he shoul know that. Having said that , as sson as I get my act together I'll phone my mum to say hello and wish her a Happy Easter, bless her. These things you don't learn till you grow up, do you ? TPerhaps the young whippersnapper needs a good talking to ?
I didn’t think Easter was such a big deal , but if it's not Easter , then something is . Some emotional stuff going on with me ... and it’s to do with being forgotten , I suspect.![]()

I am going to have another little moan now. I am actually quite angry that there is nothing else for me to watch tonight - just when I felt like being entertained by a film.
I didn't see The Passion of the Christ " when it came out, so I thought I'd give it a go.It was interesting to hear Aramaic , the Language that Jesus spoke
http://cal1.cn.huc.edu/aramaic_language.html
Having said that , I've now switched off the telly after twenty minutes or so
sickened by all the brutality and went on to read the reviews.
" two hours of Jim Caviezel being beaten horribly. The flogging and scourging scene is shocking in its brutality for the first thirty seconds, but after ten minutes you become desensitised and it loses its impact. We then get Jesus carrying the cross up the hill, which basically amounts to him picking it up, falling over, getting whipped, and picking it up once more being repeated about a dozen times. All while leering Roman soldiers happily batter his wretched frame into mush. The level of gore is really quite shocking and despite all claims of it being a realistic portrayal, considering the Bible doesn't linger on the crucifixion that much, Gibson's decision to concentrate on gore seems crude at best. When the time comes for the nails to be hammered in, he's sure to let us see the blood spurting in dramatic arcs and one of the criminals crucified next to him even has a crow pecking at his eyes. Fun stuff."
I have to question MelGibson's reasons for concentrating on the bloood and gore. Judging by the number of violent films out there it is not too difficult to conclude that violence , blood and gore do sell .The fact that this film was awarded so many awards is also sickening. I can't help seeing Mel Gibson as the Judas figure.
Some people actually paid good money for this rubbish . Sad.

On Death
Kahlil Gibran
You would know the secret of death.
But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?
The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day cannot unveil the mystery of light.
If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life.
For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.
In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond;
And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow your heart dreams of spring.
Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.
Your fear of death is but the trembling of the shepherd when he stands before the king whose hand is to be laid upon him in honour.
Is the shepherd not joyful beneath his trembling, that he shall wear the mark of the king?
Yet is he not more mindful of his trembling?
For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?
And what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?
Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.
( these words touch a deep and tender place in my heart and soul )

My life is in order at a very deep, peaceful level.
The stars, the moon, and the sun are all operating in perfect Divine right order. There is an order, a rhythm, and a purpose to their pathways. I am part of the Universe; therefore, I know that there is an order, a rhythm, and a purpose to my life. Sometimes my life may seem to be in chaos, and yet, in back of the chaos, I know that there is a Divine order. As I put my mind in order by choosing positive thoughts, the chaos disappears, and the order comes back. I trust that my life is really in perfect Divine right order. All is well in my world.
The Universe is in perfect order.

"...Your society wants to condemn them. Your society would like to
crucify them. Your society would like to lock them up. Your society
would like to put them off in places where they can never get near
any of you. Your society does not understand that they are your
creation.
As individuals, you have to accept responsibility for everything
that's interacting with you.
Because it would not be interacting with you if you did not have an
active vibration about it.
This is really, really important.
This means I cannot blame how I feel on my mate. I cannot blame how I feel on my children, or on my mother, or on my
government, or on my society, or on my client, or on the other
drivers around me.
In other words, the experience that I'm having is my job.
It's all my creation. It's all my responsibility.
You say, "Oh, but it wasn't my fault because I didn't offer the
vibration until they did that action, and after they did that action
then I offered the vibration."
And we say, still, you are the only one that can change your
vibration. And you say, "Oh, but if they'd behave differently, then
I'd change my vibration."
We say, Oh, here we go again. How many decades of life experience
within this body do you think it's going to take before you finally
convince yourself that you can't get them to choose?
They're not going to hold you as their object of attention long
enough.
Pleasing you is not their job.
You pleasing you is your job.
You've got to find something redeeming in them so that you can be
pleased.
And when you find it, activate that in your vibration, and then they
will show it to you."

I've never liked Easter- not even when , as children. we got loads and loads of chocolate Easter eggs. I think I got 14 once. I used to line mine up on top of the piano and they would stay there until they were gradually eaten. The thin chocolate shells were the best.
Grandad talked about Holy Week and Jesus' suffering. At school we observed Lent , gave up sweets and donated the money to charity , Dr Bernardos mostly , as I remember. It was a C of E primary school.
Crucifixion is nasty . And the flogging and the fact he had to bear/ bare (sp ?) his own cross and to go on and on about it for thousands of years afterwards ..and to hear that He did it for us ... and what about the millions of others who got crucified without so much as a by your leave ?
What gets me is all this harping on about suffering. Give it a rest !
But commericialism of Easter is not my kind of thing either.
I'd like to re- invent Easter as I have done with Christmas, emphasising LIFE , saps rising, eggs , fertility, fertility rites , sexuality sensuality, joy, hope , optimism , planting seeds and watching them bloom and grow ...swinging on swings ...dancing .. music playing .. and Pan and the fairies watching on in glee through the flowers trees and shrubbery .

Maybe though .. this festival is more about holding BOTH the agony and the ecstasy. I still have to learn to do that to accept The beauty and the ugliness of it all.

Om shanti , shanti om .. pax vobiscum .. and let there be peace, love and joy in all our dimensions , blessed be !

[Middle English ester, from Old English ēastre; see aus- in Indo-European roots.]
O.E. Eastre (Northumbrian Eostre), from P.Gmc. *Austron, a goddess of fertility and sunrise whose feast was celebrated at the spring equinox, from *austra-, from PIE *aus- "to shine" (especially of the dawn). Bede says Anglo-Saxon Christians adopted her name and many of the celebratory practices for their Mass of Christ's resurrection. Ultimately related to east. Almost all neighboring languages use a variant of L. Pasche to name this holiday. Easter Island so called because it was discovered by Europeans on Easter Sunday, 1722.

Testimony
(for my daughters)
I want to tell you that the world
is still beautiful.
I tell you that despite
children raped on city streets,
shot down in school rooms,
despite the slow poisons seeping
from old and hidden sins
into our air, soil, water,
despite the thinning film
that encloses our aching world.
Despite my own terror and despair.
I want you to know that spring
is no small thing, that
the tender grasses curling
like a baby's fine hairs around
your fingers are a recurring
miracle. I want to tell you
that the river rocks shine
like God, that the crisp
voices of the orange and gold
October leaves are laughing at death,
I want to remind you to look
beneath the grass, to note
the fragile hieroglyphs
of ant, snail, beetle. I want
you to understand that you
are no more and no less necessary
than the brown recluse, the ruby-
throated hummingbird, the humpback
whale, the profligate mimosa.
I want to say, like Neruda,
that I am waiting for
"a great and common tenderness",
that I still believe
we are capable of attention,
that anyone who notices the world
must want to save it.

I think I finally get it. Living in scarcity , thinking scarcity thoughts helps noone.
Nowadays , I believe in abundance. I believe in acknowledging what I already have and being grateful for what I've got.
I stop myself when I catch myself focusing on lack , because it is really a lie and serves only to attract more lack and feelings of inadequacy
“I can’t afford it.”
I always have what I need.
“That’s too expensive.”
Do I want this or not ? Do I need it ? How will it serve me ?
“I can never get ahead.”
I'm always in the right time and in the right place.
Good things happen to me all the time,
“There are no free rides.”
Everything I need comes to me easily and effortlessly.
“I have to work two jobs to support myself.”
The Universe supports me and guides me .My needs are always met.
I am convinced now that we get what we believe. It’s the Law of Attraction in action and it never fails.
I've trained myself to feel rich, no matter how much I have in my wallet, 'cos if I don't I am lost and caught in in negative, limiting patterns.
To bring more money into our lives, we need to BE ABUNDANT. Wealth is an issue of consciousness.
I've noticed how some people have it and others don't . I've had some pretty good teachers and now I am learning.
“Until you make peace with who you are you’ll never be content with what you have.”

Moonbathed around 2 am when the moon finally appeared.. Then got all obsessed with figuring out how my new digital camera works.Whatdo all these buttons do ? How do I get them to do what I want? CONTROL !!! (and much impatience )
I am so looking forward to taking pictures and getting them downloaded onto the computer.Since I’ve never done this before though , this is both scary and frustrating.
I was like this when I got my first computer and then my mobile and now this digital camera with very limited memory . So there’s the memory bit to sort out too

“ An amazing combination value, simplicity and performance makes the Sony Cybershot DSC-S500 a perfect entry-level choice for first-time digital photographers”
haha .. they hadn’t reckoned with this particular etry level person.
“ Advanced features place it at the head of its class: 6.0-megapixel resolution for tight crops and big prints, a quality 3x optical zoom and wide-angle shooting capability, a large 2.4-inch LCD screen for setting up shots and sharing results, 25 MB internal memory for capturing images in-camera, and up to 350 shots using optional Stamina rechargeable batteries. (Stamina batteried not included--must be purchased separately.) “
It’s the “ amazing array of advanced digital features “ that has me baffled lol
“There's also a slot for optional Memory Stick Duo media, “ where the heck is that .. and what about that memory stick thingy that is still tobe purchased ?
Also in the box along with my Sony DSC-S500 digital camera, were two AA one-use Alkaline batteries, USB cable, wrist strap, software CD-ROM

La bella luna is hiding tonight .. but I know she is there.
FULL MOON
One night as Dick lay fast asleep,
Into his drowsy eyes
A great still light began to creep
From out the silent skies.
It was the lovely moon's, for when
He raised his dreamy head,
Her surge of silver filled the pane
And streamed across his bed.
So, for a while, each gazed at each-
Dick and the solemn moon-
Till, climbing slowly on her way,
She vanished, and was gone.

I was going to plant some calendula seeds today , but , it didn't feel right somehow. It didn't feel right so I consulted the moon gradeners
"Lunar Planting
Many gardeners believe that planting during specific phases of the moon brings good results. Many calendars and almanacs carry moon phase planting guides.
Plants gain energy for growth from the sun, but they are also affected by the moon's changing phases. The moon controls tides, influences the groundwater tables beneath the earth and affects the movement of fluids within plants.
New moon - farmers and gardeners should prepare to sow seeds now. During the first quarter of the waxing moon phase the moisture level in the soil is at it's highest, so this is when you should plant seeds, repot plants, sow lawns. This brings rapid germination and growth.
Full moon - farmers should transplant now, when the lunar flowering force is strong. The moisture content becomes low during the waning moon phase and less sap is rising in the trees and shrubs, so it's a good time to do your pruning and attack weeds.
According to lunar planting folklore root plants should go into the ground during a waning moon. It is also the best time to turn over soil.

Takeout-Style Sesame Noodles
1 pound Chinese egg noodles (1/8,-inch-thick) , frozen or (preferably) fresh, available in Asian markets
2 tablespoons sesame oil, plus a splash
3½ tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons Chinese rice vinegar
2 tablespoons Chinese sesame paste
1 tablespoon smooth peanut butter
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon finely grated ginger
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons chili-garlic paste, or to taste
Half a cucumber, peeled, seeded, and cut into 1/8,-by- 1/8,-by-2-inch sticks
¼ cup chopped roasted peanuts.
1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add noodles and cook until barely tender, about 5 minutes; they should retain a hint of chewiness. Drain, rinse with cold water, drain again and toss with a splash of sesame oil.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the remaining 2 tablespoons sesame oil, the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame paste, peanut butter, sugar, ginger, garlic and chili-garlic paste.
3. Pour the sauce over the noodles and toss. Transfer to a serving bowl, and garnish with cucumber and peanuts. Serves 4. Adapted from Martin Yan, Marian Burros, and memory.
Notes
1. The ?Chinese sesame paste,? above, is made of toasted sesame seeds; it is not the same as tahini, the Middle Eastern paste made of plain, untoasted sesame. But you could use tahini in a pinch. You need only add a little toasted sesame oil to compensate for flavor, and perhaps some peanut butter to keep the sauce emulsified.
2. On which subject, the whole point of cold sesame noodles is what?s called in the food trade its ?mouth feel,? the velvety smooth feeling of perfectly combined ingredients. That?s why you find so much peanut butter in preparations of cold sesame noodles. Peanut butter emulsifies better than sesame paste.
3. Hey, where are the Sichuan peppercorns? Sichuan food depends on their tingly numbing power! Perhaps, but the little fruits were banned from the United States from 1968 until 2005 by the Food and Drug Administration because they were feared to carry citrus canker, a bacterial disease. And while you could always find them in Chinatowns somewhere (sitting, dry and baleful, in a pile), there are few in the true cult of sesame noodles who use them in their recipes. By all means, add some if you like: toast a tablespoon?s worth in a dry pan, crush lightly and whisk the resulting mess into your sauce.
