  • Night Night .. enjoy the blue moon !

    http://www.photogalaxy.com/pic/marbo-48/blue_moon.jpg

    Silver

    Slowly, silently, now the moon

    Walks the night in her silver shoon;

This way, and that, she peers, and sees

    Silver fruit upon silver trees;

One by one the casements catch

    Her beams beneath the silvery thatch;

Couched in his kennel, like a log,

    With paws of silver sleeps the dog;

From their shadowy cote the white breasts peep

    Of doves in a silver-feathered sleep;

A harvest mouse goes scampering by,

    With silver claws and a silver eye;

And moveless fish in the water gleam,

By silver reeds in a silver stream.

  • Pure Potentiality

About ten years ago I picked up a little gem of a book called " The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success " by Deepak Chopra . Blogland is like a field of pure potentiality too.

The first law of success, The Field of Pure Potentiality is based on the fact that we are, in our essential state, pure consciousness. Pure consciousness is pure potentiality; it is the field of all possibilities and infinite creativity. Pure consciousness is our spiritual essence. Being infinite and unbounded is also pure joy. Other attributes of consciousness are pure knowledge, infinite silence, perfect balance, invincibility, simplicity, and bliss. This is our essential nature.

How can we apply the Law of Pure Potentiality, the field of all possibilities, to our lives? Read more here :

    http://www.awakening-intuition.com/PurePotentiality.html

    About The Author

Deepak Chopra is the author of numerous books including "Ageless Body, Timeless Mind", "Quantum Healing", and "Creating Affluence". He lectures throughout the U.S., blending venerable Eastern wisdom and cutting edge Western science with dynamic results

  • The next 20 to 30 years ( Deepak Chopra )

BW: What do you see happening in the next 10 to 20 years?

DC: I see that the use of violence to resolve conflict is becoming to be looked at as a most obscene act in society. I see that people, governments and institutions that resort to violence to solve problems will be looked at as uncreative. They will not be considered part of the creative environment that we create.

I see a restoration of our ecological balance. I see an emerging economy that will be much more equitable so that the problems between the rich and the poor will stop and everyone will have enough to maintain a decent life.

I see a nurturing of our fundamental needs: survival, safety, love and belonging. As well as our higher needs for creative expression, achievement and for our sense of connection with the sacred. I think this should become and will become the focus of a new humanity.

( I add my love energy to the above vision. So be it and so it is . :) )

  • There are not many people I can share my weird thoughts with

I hear this all the time and just shared this with ozzzy. What did we all do before Blogland ?

Were we just keeping our innermost " weird" and wonderful thoughts to ourselves ?

Maybe diaries and journals got to hear them .

*thinks* I have yet to come across a really really weird thought.

Why do we tend to be embarrassed by our thoughts ?
Why do we push them away like the plague ?
Why are some thoughts unwanted ? ..awww .. poor things :(

It's not always easy or possible or convenient to share thoughts with people around us . They might think we are weird ..strange .. odd. They might be envious and think " why didn't I think of that ? " or they might ....they might ..... and the mind runs amok ! lol

I hear this all the time " There are not many people you that I can share
    these thoughts with "

THANK YOU , Blogland and compassionate empathic non judgemental friends . I love and appreciate you.
    Bless !
    X

  • Transformation

IA gave me Ralph's name and phone number on Sunday.

" If I were to give any advice to anyone Swedish or otherwise I would say study the meaning and the effects that the following words have on your life; great liberation can come from their transformation.

    1: FEAR
    – what fears if any, do you have and how do they control you?

    2: NEEDS
    – what needs do you have and why?

    3: EXPECTATIONS
    – what are your expectations really about?

    4: FEELINGS
    – are these feeling mine or someone else is?

If you follow your feelings close enough they will take you to the light! Trust your intuition; follow your dreams – as in visions of life. Keep an open mind and heart to all experiences that come your way, because somewhere and at some time you have asked for them! It is through acceptance that we graduate into forgiveness.

Love and light too all, Ralph K. Jenkins "

    Thank you,Ralph

  • Raising consciousness

“No problem can be solved from the same consciousness that created it. We must learn to see the world anew.”
    -- Albert Einstein

When we apply this quote to our lives, we can see that we cannot create abundance by staying in a consciousness of poverty, nor can we gain a sense of power in our lives while identifying ourselves as a victim.

Situations begun from anger or fear can have little chance of reaching a state of peace and trust unless someone involved can conceive of that possibility and act upon it.

We need to find ways to step outside of our limited understanding in order to seek a bigger picture.

One way to do this is by shifting perspective seeing the situation from another’s point .....the perspective of all others involved. This alone can shift feelings of anger to compassion and the desire for a positive solution for all concerned.

I now intend to open my mind to greater possibilities,
I am learning to think big
I am learning to think outside the box ( this phrase has become so mainstream )

I realise that I can connect to my higher self for inspired solutions. From this wise place of peace and calm at the centre of my being .. or what Gary Zukov calls " the seat of the soul " .. form this place gain distance from my sometimes overwhelming emotions and panic to connect to intuitive wisdom.

From this place understanding comes and the clues to " HOW " or what needs to be done.

I am so aware these days of guidance- guidance both visible and invisible .

Albert Einstein showed us the impact that can be made when we raise our consciousness and allow ourselves to imagine the possibilities and the possibilities are LIMITLESS.

    We are limitless beings.
    All is well.
    Everything is possible.

    :)

  • Ebb and flow

There is an ebb and flow to everything.
Tide comes in .. tide goes out.
This is the natural order of things
It's no use trying to push or force.

Relate this to income and money.
There are times when there is a lot of money coming in and there are times when there is more going out than coming in.

    The flow is interesting
    There is flow in everything.

Sometimes there are blocks. Question is then,,where ? What is blocking ?

BUT ... th esupply is ENDLESS ,, .. it is INFINITE .
This is both good news and bad news *chuckles to herself * I see abundance all around me .. an abundance of things .,.a n abundance of mess... an abundance of dust bunnies .....abundance of worries and fears and concerns... an abundance of overwhelm !!! Less of that

So from now on I specify, dearest Universe .. please send and abundance of money, joy , pleasure, laughter, wine ,inspiration, ideas , beauty and all that . Comprende ? Good. We are in sync. :)

  • Getting organised at noon

    Logging on at noon.
Waking up with love and ease.
    It's like bathing in thoughts.
    Morning rituals finished.
Have started using google calender - wonder how that will work out.
*makes note to herself to remember to water the plants as part of daily routine.* Maybe it is best to water them at the end of the day before going to bed- drinkies and little chat ... part of evening ritual.
See .. am getting organised :)

  • Rami's wall

Rami is a womnderful guy from a neighbouring Blogland whom I've met twice in real life, yet another example of a soul connection and bless him, he is getting married in a few day's time !

I first met Rami from Jordan two years ago I think He'd invested his life's savings to study Global Journalism in Örebro. When the course was over he said he wanted to stay.Rami dared to follow his heart and dreams and has now found his treasure. I am so happy for him

    OMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM !

  • Evening falls

I've re- potted a plant. There is soil and water all over the floor in the blue room , so my plan is to leave it to dry so that I can vacuum it uplater and wash the floor.

In the meantime cleaned the kitchen , but left the foor. That can be done when I do the floor in the other room. :)

Watched Greys Anatomy . Sad :( George's father had to be unplugged. Everyone was sad.

Caught a snippet of news: There'd been an attempted robbery in Solna , which is within walking distance of where I live. Shots had been fired and there were empty shells scattered around between the police cars.. and apparently a shirt covered in blood! The robbers had bungled it and got away with nowt ! Ha !

I'm wondering whether or not to make a blue cheese broccolli and walnut quiche or have an early night and get up at a decent hour tomorrow. I have had so many late nights.

  • Say what you want ( Abe )

    As you begin to state what you do want, rather than clamoring about what you don't want, you come into your own power. When you come into your own power, you feel better. And when you feel better -- those who love you also feel better. ;

  • The scandal

The scandal ( see previous post )

It was especially the final masturbatory gesture of the choreography that caused the scandal which followed the first performance. In the newspaper Le Figaro editor Gaston Calmette wrote:

"We have had a faun, incontinent, with vile movements of erotic bestiality and gestures of heavy shamelessness."

To him Nijinsky's dance was "the too-expressive pantomime of the body of an ill-made beast, hideous, from the front, and even more hideous in profile," and his paper started a campaign against the ballet.

In reply, the sculptor Auguste Rodin published a defense of the choreography and in a letter to Le Figaro painter Odilon Redon expressed the wish that his friend Mallarmé could have seen "this wonderful evocation of his thought."

*mira thinks ...I LOVE IT ! * :) When I saw the film " NIJINSKI " I remember Nijinski saying after the performance as he was being booed off the stage

" It was not me ... it was the faun "

Genious and madness .. RESPECT , mon !

  • Wild thing, 1912

    http://www.informadanza.com/img/vaslav.gif

    http://www.voiceofdance.com/hpimage/joffrey_faune1.jpg

This is by far the best ballet I have ever seen. WILD . EROTIC. SENSUOUS !! Far ahead of it's rime.

" ....a young faun meets several nymphs, flirts with them and chases them, was deliberately archaic. In the original scenography designed by Léon Bakst the dancers were presented as part of a large tableau, a staging reminiscent of an ancient Greek vase painting. They often moved across the stage in profile as if on a bas relief. The ballet was presented in bare feet and rejected classical formalism. The work had an overtly sexual nature for its time and ended with a scene of simulated masturbation..... "

Who dares to say ballet is boring ??? ;)

The ballet L'après-midi d'un faune (or The Afternoon of a Faun) was choreographed by Vaslav Nijinsky for the Ballets Russes, and first performed in the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on May 29, 1912. Nijinsky danced the main part himself.

Lydia Sokolova, the first English dancer in the Ballets Russes, gave the following description of Nijinsky's performance:

Nijinsky as the faun was thrilling. Although his movements were absolutely restrained, they were virile and powerful and the manner in which he caressed and carried the nymph's veil was so animal that one expected to see him run up the side of the hill with it in his mouth. There was an unforgettable moment just before his final amorous descent upon the scarf when he knelt on one leg on top of the hill; with his other leg stretched out behind him. Suddenly he threw back his head, opened his mouth and silently laughed. It was superb acting.

    WOW !!!

What fun . I didn't dare post the Jimi Hendrix one .. oooh that was WILD ;)He got really carried away with his guitar.

Now you might think this weird , but it Reminded me of Nijinski - the Russian Ballet Dancer and his performance in "L'apres Midi D'úne Faun ( excuse my Francais spelling )

  • And so to the world of dreams

Sleep ...........it has been a good day.
    A productive day.
A day when things get done.
I've started organising my thoughts a bit- next step will be to tidy my flat which is once again in creative chaos !
the place looks like a tornado has zoomed through ..i.e. me going from one thing to the other.

I took a big piece of paper this morning and did a stock-taking or inventory of my inner and outer worlds

    Dreams .................................waking world

What a LOT of dreams I've had in May. I see themes and patterns emerging and I can see how they relate to the other side of the page which is my "waking world"

Ah well . back to the world of dreams .

I used this particular video hundreds of times as part of teaching English as foreigh language.

It's from a Fawlty Towers video called Communication Problems
    All about Communication problems
A battleaxe of a woman , Mrs Richards comes to stay - she is deaf , has a hearing aid but will not turn it on. The old bat.
hehehe . there's line there where Basil asks " Is this a piece of your brain ?" hehehe ..I'm gettng silly now ..sleep deprivation ....
    Nigh tnight  XXXX

    Communication Problems
    19 February 1979, BBC2 - Running time 31:26

A troublesome guest causes problems when she refuses to turn her hearing-aid on. Meanwhile Basil frantically tries to hide a win from the races from Sybill.

Mrs. Richards: When I pay for a view I expect to see something more interesting than that.
    Basil: That is Torquay, Madam.
Mrs Richards: Well, it's not good enough.
Basil: Well, may I ask what you were hoping to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom-window? Sidney Opera House perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest? sweeping majestically?
Mrs Richards: Don't be silly. I expect to be able to see the sea.
Basil: You can see the sea. It's over there between the land and the sky.
Mrs Richards: You call that a view?
Basil Fawlty: Well perhaps you should consider moving to a hotel closer to the sea, preferably in it.

Mrs Richards: Now, I've reserved a very quiet room, with a bath and a sea view. I specifically asked for a sea view in my written confirmation, so please be sure I have it.
    Manuel: Que?
    Mrs. Richards: K?
    Manuel: Si.
    Mrs. Richards: C?
    Manuel: No. Que, "what."
    Mrs. Richards: K. Watt?
    Manuel: Si: que, "what."
Mrs. Richards: C. K. Watt? Is he the manager?
    Manuel: Ah! Manajer! Mr. Fawlty.
Mrs. Richards: This man is telling me the manager is a C. K. Watt, aged forty.
    Manuel: No, Fawlty.
Mrs. Richards: Faulty? Why? What's wrong with him?

Mrs Richards: I shall expect a reduction.
Basil: Why? Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?
Mrs Richards: Because the room is cold, the bath is too small, the view is invisible and the radio doesn't work.
Basil: No, the radio works. You don't.
    Mrs Richards: What?
Basil: I'll see if I can fix it, you scabby old bat.
[He turns the radio on to the limit.]

Sybil: What was the name of the horse?
Polly: Er ... the name ... I've gone blank.
[she stares at Basil, making bizarre attempts at charades] Bird Brain.
    Sybil: Bird Brain?
Polly: No, no, that came in third. ... Fishwife.
    Sybil: What?
Polly: Small...fly. Flying ... Flying Tart ... no, no... It got off to a flying start, and its name was ... Dragonfly.
    Sybil: Thank you, Polly.

  • Path of Empowerment

    http://www.pleiadians.com/i/path_sm.jpg

I read Barbara Marciniak's "Bringers of the Dawn" when it first came out years ago and re- read it last year when I read it in a completely different light.

I've been reading excerpts from "the Path of Empowerment " and have ordered the book .

From Chapter 1, "Multidimensional Reality and the Design of Existence," Page 5
Understanding the power of beliefs and the power of the mind, both individually and en masse, is the most pressing and crucial issue for humankind to grasp. Recognizing these two important keys of knowledge can open human consciousness to a new worldview of unlimited possibilities and highly creative solutions. Beliefs are essentially agreements about reality, and both personal and collective beliefs form the structure and the parameters of your life experience in any era. Beliefs, thoughts, and feelings leave a distinct formative imprint on the field of vital energy that envelops your world. You are creating all of the time and humankind is rapidly awakening to this astounding realization.

From Chapter 1, "Multidimensional Reality and the Design of Existence," Page 20
When you change your attitude, you change your personal and collective life. People all over the world are realizing the need to refocus the direction of global attention toward one of honesty and integrity, where valuing peace and respectfully honoring and caring for Earth and all her creatures are of primary intent. As the vibration of the mass consciousness expands and matures, greater momentum and focus will be gained. The Earth feels these changes. An elevated state of awareness in the collective consciousness of humankind triggers the Earth to unlock and release more of the complete story of time stored within her being

From Chapter 4, "The Intimate Dance of Beliefs and Emotions," Pages 92-93

Humankind is being tested to become much more consciously aware of how to use the power of thought. You are born with a multitude of abilities, yet your cultivated beliefs insist you are powerless; therefore, these abilities are blocked out or eradicated from neural pathways at an early age. The key to solving the great planetary crisis you face lies in the compassionate recognition that humanity has essentially developed a collective fear of the power to create. These times call for you to know your mind and your beliefs and to become an extraordinary creator of your reality.

From Chapter 4, "The Intimate Dance of Beliefs and Emotions," Page 123

There are always a multitude of favorable probabilities from which to choose. Please be aware of this potential and do not busy yourself with worries. Worry is a supreme waste of energy in any situation. It creates a disturbing vibration in your field and drains you of energy. And how do you avoid worry? You must deal with your beliefs concerning what you choose to worry about. Release your need to be in charge or in control of everything. Replace your worry with a statement that affirms your choice of safety, comfort, and peace of mind. Learn more about yourself by paying attention to how you manage energy. Be aware of what no longer works by recognizing how your inner ruminations become the movie of life that you meet in the outside world.

From Chapter 5, "Healing on the Lines of Time," Page 142

Great significance underlies every illness, large or small, because your body is a biofeedback system for your attitudes. Managing energy involves managing your relationship with your emotional self. Examining your emotions is the bottom line for understanding the purpose of a particular health-related situation. Poor health does not just land in your lap. You are ultimately responsible for setting the stage of your body's inner terrain based on the choices you make, and you actually restrict your body's natural healing processes when you readily accept only conventional medical labels and categories for your condition. You deny the purpose and power of your body's intelligence when you believe that you "just caught something out of the blue," rather than realizing and accepting that your body is merely responding to your inner feelings and commands.

  • Speaking of Angels

    http://www.consciousone.com/c1Cards/images/Lcard_378.jpg

I consulted the angels ( see link below ) and this what they said when I asked for a message for us all in Blogaland :)

    http://www.consciousone.com/c1Cards/images/Lcard_334.jpg

    http://www.consciousone.com/c1Cards/images/Lcard_332.jpg

Key words : Ideas & Inspiration

    Ideas & Inspiration ..Trust ....Healing

Pay attention to new thoughts and ideas that come to you. They are seeds of magnificent co-creations with God.

God speaks to you through your thoughts and the angels want you to notice and follow the ideas you have recently received. These thoughts are answers to your prayers for guidance, so please don't discount them as mere imagination.

the angels seek to give you confidence that you are just as capable of receiving wonderful ideas as any other child of God. That is because all wonderful ideas originate from the one Divine mind of God. Since God is omnipresent, meaning everywhere, God is within you. So, God's mind continuously expresses new thoughts and ideas right inside your mind!

Believe in yourself, and have faith that God and the angels are with you. Ask them to help you to lose the fears that block you from enjoying full faith.

Your angels know that you've been disappointed in the past. These experiences may have eroded your faith in yourself, other people, or even God. However, the angels remind you of the importance of holding on to your faith.

the angels emphasize the value of self-trust. They know that you, like everyone, have made mistakes in the past. However, these mistakes have not eroded your true nature. You still have omnipresent God within you, and God is infallible. The angels ask you to trust in God and to trust in them. They will help you trust yourself.

A situation that has caused you concern is on the mend. You are a natural healer, and your healing thoughts have manifested into form.

Sometimes a situation cannot heal until you release the challenge completely-so that healing light can enter it. Your worries will soon be over, because this card signifies that a healing has occurred. To realize this healing, however, you must first stop focusing on "what is wrong" and instead affirm: "Everything is in Divine and perfect order right now."

You have natural healing abilities, and this card asks you to have faith that God works through you as an Earth healing angel. Hold thoughts of love around any situation that seems to need healing. Visualize the situation as healed right now. Then, give thanks to God for this healing, and completely release everything to the angels. The powerful effects of your healing work touch many lives

  • After being shrunk

It's wonderful how things fall into place when you talk about them.
Today's session with H.the shrink went well :)

He says I am following my inner guidance and says that I won't need him much longer .. but I think he's wrong there. ;)Everyone needs a H.the shrink.

MrH says that " peeing" is also to do with marking out your territory.
Not being able to pee and wanting to pee is a conflict of will; part of me wants to move forward and a part of me is not able to.

It's also to do with emotions and feelings; repressed anger ( he concurs ) and other unexpressed emotions. What are you wanting to say and not saying ? for fear of what ?

I must learn to be clear about boundaries- what they are and where I want them to be.

MrH the shrink says that my meeting with the creepy man a couple of weeks ago could be interpreted as a dream. In the dream , creepy man is a part of me that wants to make itself known to me; a part of me that is attracted to me " light" . This creepy part of me is confused .. maybe my shadow .. it is daring to approach me now. FASCINATING eh ? !!!

I know that innerworlds and outer worlds are related. During the healing that MRH gave me I felt so very relaxed- sighed a few times and felt that I was able think more clearly.

" Blogland " appeared as well as one area and a Yahoogroup that I belong to as another.

In blogland I feel free and happy and more and more daring.... I feel I am getting bolder and more trusting ...expressing myself more

In the Yahoo group , which is an open group that I set it up fora few of us to meet and exchange stories and sharings. It feels cosy, like our sittingroom, yet everyone knows that the door of our sitting room is not locked and that anyone can come in.

There was recently a visitor and this annoyed at least two members because the stranger didn't seem to be on our wavelength and did not know how to behave. Well how could he ? There were no rules. We welcomed him and also told him off when he stepped out line , so he left. I felt sad. I tend to feel sad when people leave.Lack of defined boundaries. *sighs*

I so wish for things to work themselves out without too many rules. That's the problem with being an idealist. Still .. this situation was settled amicably. No hard feelings.

But what am I saying then ? Yes ... these two groups are different. My experience of bloglands is free and easy going with few turbulances and no pointing of fingers.

The other group is a sacred place of love and well-being but also more conventional , I think conventional is an appropriate word. More serious. Not that much laughter,Very little silliness . I miss that a little.

Still, right now I have the best of both worlds.
Thank friends and strangers in Blogland - so far so good. I like being here with you all,
    :)

  • Happy Birthday Hans

It was Hans' birthay yesterday and I texted him today with apologies for being a day late. Shit happens,
Hans is funny and as mad as a hatter :DD ( I say that in a caring way )
He makes me laugh till my sides ache .

Hans used to be my student - I taught him Engish when we were both working at the bank.
Then Hans started his own company and employed me.
    Later he became my landlord.
His youngest daughter gave birth to baby number two yesterday- a fine birthday present; his 5th grandchild.
He's invited me to lunch next week, which I am really looking forward to - it's been over a year , I think.
I want to get him something for his birthday but I don't know wha. Any ideas ?

  • Healing affirmation and healing mandala

    http://www.asia.si.edu/exhibitions/online/mandala/images/completedmandala.225.jpg

According to Buddhist scripture, sand mandalas transmit positive energies to the environment and to the people who view them. While constructing a mandala, Buddhist monks chant and meditate to invoke the divine energies of the deities residing within the mandala. The monks then ask for the deities' healing blessings. A mandala's healing power extends to the whole world even before it is swept up and dispersed into flowing water—a further expression of sharing the mandala's blessings with all.

  • appropriate ? in appropriate? Right? wrong ? ( abe )

Within your current society, there are many who gather the
statistics of human experience. They spend lifetimes
comparing experiences, and categorizing them as appropriate
or inappropriate, right or wrong. They weigh the pros and
the cons and the pluses and the minuses of topic after
topic, but they seldom realize that their vibrational
    offerings are not serving them.

They have no sense of their own power because they are
flowing their Energy in opposing directions. Their lives
have become more about labeling the behavior or experiences
of those with whom they share their planet than about
    their own creating.

And so, they find themselves in a very uncomfortable
position as they come to believe that their happiness or
Well]Being depends upon the behavior of others
    .

They point to people, behaviors, or beliefs and call them
inappropriate, saying no to them, without realizing that
they are including into their experience the vibration of
the very thing they do not want.

And so, without the knowledge of how it is that those
unwanted things are making their way into their experience,
they become increasingly guarded and fearful.

Freedom from the fear of unwanted experiences will never be
achieved by trying to control the behavior or desires of
others. Your freedom can only be allowed by adjusting your
    own vibrational point of attraction."

  • It's Witsun today

    http://www.handmadeart.co.uk/shop/images/flowers3.jpg

Whitsun (Pentecost) Pentecost is also known as Whitsunday and is a major festival in the Christian church. It is celebrated on the Sunday which falls on the 50th day after the Easter festival. that's where the " pente " bit comes in , meaning 5

The name Pentecost comes from a Greek word which means 'fiftieth'.

Pentecost celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit in the form of flames to the followers of Jesus and Ten days after Ascension, 50 days after the resurrection, the Spirit came.

Here in Sweden we get a day off for Ascension " Kristihimmelfärdsdag" which literally translated means " Christs flying to heaven day " :)

NOW , Whitsuntide has given way to 6 June - which is now Swedish National Day and a public holiday. I wonder why they could not keep both days. A bit stingy, isn't it ?

Did you know that Whit Sunday was originally known as 'White Sunday'.I was told that it was when people started wearing there new white clothes and would show them off in church on Whitsunday.

I've just read that Sunday Pentecost of the Catholic Church is derived from the sacred festival of the ancient pagan goddess Flora.

"In primitive central Italy, Flora was the goddess of budding springtime, of cereals, fruit trees, the vine and flowers . . . Her festivals, the Floralia, lasted from the twenty-eighth of April to the third of May and were rather licentious. ON 23rd MAY there was another festival in her honour. Flora, the heathen goddess of licentious behaviour and of springtime and flowers, fertility and whose rites included nude dancing and promiscuous behaviour. Sounds like fun to me .

What if ,,,,,,what if now in the 21st century , we could combine and integrate the joys and pleasures of the senses with glorifying Spirit and the Life Force in all things without judgement or guilt or feeling sinful ? Now that would be something; the enjoyment and appreciation, and thankfulness for all the gifts of the Universe ?

You Are a Good Friend Because You're Accepting

    http://images.blogthings.com/whatmakesyouagoodfriendquiz/accepting.jpg

No matter what a friend says or does, you try your best to understand it.
And your friends feel like they can tell you anything. You don't judge.

You know that friendship is a journey - with a lot of ups and downs.
If you and a friend grow apart, you get over it quickly... and leave the potential for future friendship open.

You tend to have many friends from many walks of life. Anyone you meet is could become a friend.
In fact, you are especially interested in people who are a little different than you. Seeing life from another perspective is something you cherish.

Your friends need you most when: They can't turn to anyone else with their secrets

You really can't be friends with: Dogmatic, stubborn people

Your friendship quote: "Love is blind, but friendship closes its eyes."  ( hmmmmm I wonder if it closes eyes )

  • Renée Fleming Vier letzte Lieder

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEoxkKv3R6k

    This is soooooooo BEAUTIFUL

In the film , family and friends gather by the river after they have buried 17 year old Emanuel who was bitten by a poisonous snake while trying to milk it for serum that is later used as an antidote to snake bites.

One by one a few snakes are released in the river and swim away amid the flowers that are also scattered and flow downstream .

    *sighs*

beautiful ... and all this to Vier letzte Lieder .

  • It all started earlier today

It all started this morning earlier today .
I woke up at 1:14 pm .. which must be something of a record
    I am shocked
    But why ?
Ended up talking to smileman till 3am this morning about this and that until we were both dropping off to sleep.

Caught the end of the film " I dreamed of Africa " .
The scene .. a family .. a few people gathered around in a room. I see a 4 poster bed drped with white linen. A 17 year old youth takes a rubber band from a basket full of rubber bands byt the bed. His mother says .. " are you going out to ...." I don't catch the rest. Youth leaves and next we see him securng gauze around a jam jar with the rubber band . Then he picks up a snake .. I see what he is about to do .. he is going to milk the snake forcing it's jaws open so that it will bite into the gauze to collect the poison which is later used to make serum.

Well of course tragedy strikes, the snake bites boy , the jar shatters on the ground , the snake wriggles away and the boy collapses as the poison takes effect. He dies, his last words " I'm dying mum " ....I'm already choked up crying my eyes out and then at the funeral , while they bury him, someone switches on the radio and we hear " The rivers of babylon "

A waterfall of tears , and at the same time , I am so moved by this music .

  • Reggae strikes

Happened to see the end of the film " I dreamed of Africa " "By the rivers of Babylon" by The Melodians , which I failed to find but found 2 versions by Boney M.

I've just logged on and already things are appearing .. like the mood ring. I'm playing around on this magic box otherwise known as the PC and www and I feel like a young child on Christmas day unwrapping a mountain of presents. It's glorious , it is, and helps when you are a bit of a looney and somewhat weird lol

I have positive affirmations scattered all over the place - and I have noticed how they become self fulfilling prophesies :)

The card that flipped over and overturned near my left hand says

    " HIGHEST OUTCOME

I know that the highest outcome is already unfolding and will become clear to me when the time is right. In the meantime I welcome all positive and bright thoughts that help me align with soul to me in the right direction . "

  • Love what you do or do something else

" When your vocation becomes your vacation, you'll never work another day in your life.

No one can succeed in any endeavor that they don't like.

If you don't love what you're doing, then don't do it.

Your chances of success are directly proportional to the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do.

Do something that you have a deep personal
    interest in.

Do something you'd enjoy spending twelve to fifteen hours a day working at, and the rest of the time thinking about.

Don't set compensation as your goal.
Find work you like and the compensation will
    follow.

Work is not your punishment. It's your reward, your strength and your pleasure.

Real success is achieved when you like what you do.

    Work is love made visible."

Sounds good in theory - I believe this could work in practice. I've actually managed it . What I need now is to come out of survival and into abundance :)

  • deliberately choose the path of lesser resistance ( Abe )

"As you more deliberately choose the path of lesser resistance, as you
do it in the easy times, it's easier to do in the hard times.

As you do it in the easy times, the hard times come fewer and fewer.

As you begin to deliberately choose, what begins to happen is, you
begin to offer a vibration, and law of attraction only gives you
those things that match your vibration.

So that then it is only when you walk into those ambushes, like
family reunions, or those things that where you're not going there
because your bliss is calling you.

In other words, if you would follow your bliss, you would run into
    very little resistance.

But when you follow something other than your bliss...

... when you follow your commitment.. .

    ... or when you follow your promise that you made in a drunken stupor;

... when you follow anything other than the guidance that is coming
forth within you in the moment, you may find yourself in a moment
    where there is resistance.

And now, you will know exactly what to do about it; because there is
no reason ever, no matter how great it may seem, that you can not
choose a path of less resistance, and in doing so, your connection to
who you are will return, and your problem, your issue, will
dissipate. It will be replaced by the wellbeing, by the allowing of
the wellbeing, that is natural to you.

If you heard that, you know everything that you'll ever need to know
    about anything.

There is nothing more to ever know, because everybody
gets to choose differently, so there's no point in trying to sort out
what's right or wrong. There's no point in trying to figure out who's
    truth is the truest."

  • Create space

"All this talk and turmoil and noise and movement
and desire is outside of the veil; within the
veil is silence and calm and rest."

    -- Bayazid al-Bistami

We need to create space if we desire to change
and grow. Only in emptiness can meaning, intuitive
    guidance and truth arise.

Give yourself space by spending time in nature,
taking an hour or day off, enjoying quiet moments
for reflection. Take time to smell the roses.
Breathe in the wonder of life and its bounty. Open
so your deeper awareness and imagination can
percolate through mundane thoughts and activities. Let
go of both resistance and force to allow yourself
to connect more deeply to life.

"I do only want to advise you to keep growing
quietly and seriously throughout your whole
development; you cannot disturb it more rudely than by
looking outward and expecting from outside replies
to questions that only your inmost feeling in
your most hushed hour can perhaps answer."

  • Squatter becomes millionaire landowner

This caught my eye just now .. FANTASTIC .. bless this ex- homeless person and his benefactor :)
    X

Squatter becomes millionaire landowner after lengthy legal battle
AFP - 2 hours 8 minutes agoLONDON (AFP) - A homeless pensioner who has slept rough in one of London's most treasured beauty spots since 1986 was celebrating Thursday after the Land Registry granted him the deeds to his million-pound plot of land.

Harry Hallowes, 71, secured ownership to a 800 square-metre plot in Hampstead Heath, after a two-year legal battle with developers who tried to evict the pensioner from the grounds of Athalone House.

Dwyer Asset Management had tried unsuccessfully to evict Hallowes from his makeshift shack since March 2005 as it sought to redevelop the former nursing home into luxury flats.

The fiesty pensioner dug his heels in and consulted lawyers who provided evidence which showed that he had been living unchallenged on the plot for 21 years, and this became the basis for his claim to the land.

"Someone mentioned a million and someone else said two million, but I'm not impressed with figures. I just wanted a place to live," a very composed Hallowes said after hearing the news.

Hallowes, who counts Monty Python star Terry Gilliam among his friends, laughed that he might now build himself a bigger residence.

"Maybe I'll build myself a house -- everyone else around here seems to love building houses," he said.

  • Respect , mon !

Ms Poseidon jut asked me " what is your definition of RESPECT ( being respected ) ?" and I had to admit that although RESPECT and BEING RESPECTED are very important to me , I do not have a definition.

most of us demand / want / seek RESPECT - but what does RESPECT and BEING RESPECTED look like for YOU ?

I'd love to know. Please feel free to share :)

  • Anger management

Before I go any further today, I simply have to write about my repressed anger. It's there , I know it. It rarely shows itself because my censor is so damn good.

Anger appears in my dreams and I am sure repressed anger has something to do with my bladder infection and being " pissed off " Ha ! ( oh I have to laugh .. see this is what I probably do ..laughter as a defence ?)

In my dream this morning , cos I woke up around 7 and then went back to sleep , I dreamt I was so angry that I was beside myself- literally. It was like one of those demon scenes in " Charmed " I think I was about to zap someone into oblivion with my powers. Who ? wHat ? This was not clear in the dream. What I am aware of is that I am in this rage / power , well part of me is and the other part hears the gentle soothing wispers of kind people reassuring me that everything is fine and that part of me feels really calm , together and peaceful. There was also a tiger in the room that was lying next to a woman. We were considering getting rid of the tiger but then realised it might really be her bewitched brother, so eliminating the tiger would not be a good idea.

Now the symbol of TIGER is interesting as I am a tiger according to cHINESE zodiac and my spirit animal is also a big cat- a puma.

As I am writing this, I realise how split it sounds. We Geminis are the original schizophrenics apart from maybe Pisces and Libra ? Libra would be the sane ones who are all balanced , though having said that , I had a really nutty client who was also Libra. Hmmmm

Back to the anger part. See how I avoid it ? Deflection .
I think I'll make a list of things that make me angry. That seems like a useful thing to do. I am going to get to the bottom of this .. by hook or by crook ..arrrrrrghhhhhhh ;)

  • The Cardinal

    http://www.stcolumbascollege.org/uploadfck/Image/9521_mal.jpg

Now I know what The Cardinal looks like :)
    He IS a handsom chap

Cardinal or red bird North American songbird of the Finch family. The Eastern Cardinal male is bright scarlet with black a throat and face; the female is brown with patches of red.

Both sexes have crests and read bills. The Arizona, Krait tailed, Louisiana, and San Lucas Cardinals frequents the South United States and Mexico. The pyrrhuloxia of the Southwest United States, is called gray Cardinal or parrotbill .

He looks a bit cold here

    http://www.animaltrial.com/Resources/cardinalbirdc.jpeg

The Cardinals or Cardinalidae are a family of passerine birds found in North and South America.

These are robust, seed-eating birds, with strong bills. They are typically associated with open woodland. The sexes usually have distinctive appearances; the family is named for the red plumage (like that of a Catholic cardinal's vestments) of males of the type species, the Northern Cardinal.

The “buntings” in this family are sometimes generically known as “tropical buntings” (though not all live in the tropics) or “North American buntings” (though there are other buntings in North America) to distinguish them from the true buntings. Likewise the grosbeaks in this family are sometimes called “cardinal-grosbeaks” to distinguish them from other grosbeaks. The name “cardinal-grosbeak” can also apply to this family as a whole.

Cardinals mate in early spring. Their nests are loosely woven in tall bushes such as honeysuckle and rose. Their diet includes seeds and small berries.

but it was cancelled yesterday partly due to the weather and partly because only a few people had said they were coming. :( It's lovely there when the weather is good as you can picnick in their lovely orchard, Fairies and nature beings are never very far off m especially mid week when there are not as many people around ;)

I was going together with a collegue and friend , LS . who called me to tell me that it was cancelled but that we could meet anyway. We agreed to call each other this morning to see how we were feeling.

Well. after chatting for a while, LS said that she really needed to have a cosy stay at home. Rats , I thought, I was counting on this to get me out and about as I've been a bit of a hermit lately only venturing out when absolutely necessary so I shared this with her.

" well have you considered that this is also something you could do for yourself by having a cosy time at home ? " she replied.

Hmm thinks I, she has a point. Gosh she's so good at knowing what she wants.:)

If I've mentally made plans to meet , or even tentative plans , in my mind this appointment becomes " solid " and " fixed". I've noticed this , I've also noticed that I get disappointed with the change in plans , which is ridiculous as it is often a change for the better , Duhhhhh

So , go will the flow mira, be flexible !

  • A vision of peace

    http://www.meltonrossnewbarnetby.co.uk/images/cinnabar_caterpillar.jpg

This vision is about peacemakers role in the current phase of humanity's transformation into a culture of universal peace, and Spirit used the metaphor of a caterpillar' s transformation into a butterfly.

When a caterpillar first begins this transformation, an entirely new kind of cell begins to appear inside the caterpillar that scientists call Imaginal cells. These cells contain the imagining or blueprint of a whole new being. At first as these cells appear, they are attacked and resisted by the caterpillar, but gradually as more of these appear, they grow stronger and begin to cluster together to form the first organs of the new creature.

Eventually clusters of cells will form extensions of connective tissue that bridge these small groups of cells into a larger form. The old form literally dies, as a new being is born from within the old. This is what is happening to humanity.

Every person who carries universal peace in their hearts represents an Imaginal cell. In every nation there are groups of these cells that have begun to cluster together in specific regions to form an organ of peace, and gradually these groups are weaving a web of peace throughout the land.

Let there be a full manifestation of global peace consciousness

This vision comes with much Love and Many Blessings, from a peacemaker, Michael, www.choosepeacenow. net

  • Beyond the beauty of external forms ( Tolle )

" Beyond the beauty of external forms there is more here : something that cannot be named, something ineffable , some deep, inner holy essence. Whenever and wherever there is beauty , this inner essence shines through somehow. It only reveals itself to you when you are present.Could it be that this nameless essence and your presence are one and the same ?

Would it be there without your presence ? Go deeply into it. Find out for yourself. "

  • technique for positive creation ( Abe )

As you are moving through your day, participating in the wide variety
of activities which make up your physical experience-- BE SENSITIVE
TO THE WAY YOU ARE FEELING.

As long as you are feeling positive emotion, know that you are creating toward those things that you are wanting. But if you feel negative emotion--fear, doubt, anxiety, stress, anger, guilt, loneliness, jealousy..stop, immediately, in the moment that
you recognize that you are feeling the emotion, and ask yourself what thought or word or action brought forth that emotion.

And if you will respond in the moment that you you are feeling the emotion, you will
very quickly be able to identify what thought, word or action has brought it forth--for as you recall it, the negative emotion will be intensified.

As soon as you identify what thought, word, or action has brought forth
your negative emotion, ask yourself, "What is it that I want?"

  • My favourite Zen story

    http://croque-choux.typepad.com/photos/fabric_postcards/zen.JPG

Everything in life holds both a blessing and a
curse. We deny this when we label the events of our
lives as either good or bad. The following old
Zen story illustrates this lesson most effectively.

A farmer had a horse but one day, the horse ran
away and so the farmer and his son had to plow
their fields themselves. Their neighbours said, "Oh,
what bad luck that your horse ran away!" But the
farmer replied, "Bad luck, good luck, who knows?"

The next week, the horse returned to the farm,
bringing a herd of wild horses with him. "What
wonderful luck!" cried the neighbours, but the farmer
responded, "Good luck, bad luck, who knows?"

Then, the farmer's son was thrown as he tried to
ride one of the wild horses, and he broke his
leg. "Ah, such bad luck," sympathized the neighbours.
Once again, the farmer responded, "Bad luck, good
    luck, who knows?"

A short time later, the ruler of the country
recruited all young men to join his army for battle.
The son, with his broken leg, was left at home.
"What good luck that your son was not forced into
battle!" celebrated the neighbours. And the farmer
remarked, "Good luck, bad luck, who knows?"

"Do not judge, and you will never be mistaken."

The last time I wrote my autobipgraphy was nearlt 10 years ago and there has been a lot of water under the proverbial bridge since then.

Time to write again or add to the existing one, which is in a loose leaf file and can easily be added to. Smart.

It is interesting reading what I wrote then, how I wrote and what I chose to focus on.

I wrote this biography for a course and we were given some guidelines but basically we had a free say.

    Granddad

A wise, gentle, caring man who taught me about unconditional love, spirit and the magic and miracles in life.

Granddad looked after the three of us and his wife, who was bed ridden after a stroke. I watched him bathe and feed and care for his wife with a tenderness and love that brings tears to my eyes when I think about it.

I never heard him speak a harsh word. Wise, kind and generous to a fault.

Apparently he had healing hands. I'm told the women would come from neighbouring farms for him to place his hands on their knees to relieve aches and pains. This is something that embarassed both him and grandma, I'm told.

Bless his great heart and generosity of spirit. I am so fortunate and blessed to have known him.

( This is a photo of a one of the few photos that I have of him I don't have a scanner , but my little cybershot does the job nicely )

  • The question I took to bed with me last night

The question I took to bed with me last night
A friend asked me last night " what is your ideal man ?"

Good question . I said I'd sleep on it .

My ideal man is a composite of the men I know and love.

    That is the quick answer.

Lover and best friend in one

Passionate , sensual, sensitive, strong, sexual , spiritual ,

A man who brings out the best in me.

    He is a good comunicator

He is good at telling stories. He tells the best stories. He makes me laugh.

He is international, global , universal.. a citizen of the Universe; mixed race; a melting pot

A free spirit; an eagle, panther, wolf , bear ,

He desires me. ( I love to be desired !!! )

He has a velvety voice that makes my whole being tingle.

He is wise , pasionate ,open, adventurous , curious , creative, stubborn, persistant, infuriating sometimes, tolerant, non- judgemental, generous, loyal, supportive, loving , lovable ,

    He smells nice

    He feels nice

    His touch is electric

He has a sensuous mouth and hands

He is like the warm salty mediterranean sea ; I can float in him naked on my back while baring my face to the hot rays of the sun ; he carries and supports me ; I swim easily and effortlessly in him most of the time and surfing the waves and turbulance is also fun.

He is uncomplicated. He simply IS . He is very much in the NOW and is non- judgemental.

He comes and goes.( no pun intended lol )

Together we are like the pillars of the temple. We stand together and yet apart so that the winds of heaven can dance between us. We grow not in each other's shadow and like the strings of a musical instrument we quiver together to create sweet soul music.

Thanks for asking dear Meno

"Humanity dreams the same dream at once, and you have your mass world. The whole construction is like an educational play in which you are the producers as well as the actors. There is a play within a play within a play. There is no end to the "within" of things. The dreamer dreams, and the dreamer within the dream dreams. But the dreams are not meaningless, and the actions within them are significant. The whole self is the observer and the participator in the roles. "

  • Is there a garden gnome day ?

    http://www.spiegel.de/img/0,1020,165647,00.jpg

    http://www.imagesaustralia.com/garden.jpg

    From the WIKI

" The travelling gnome prank is a popular method of returning a garden gnome "to the wild". It involves stealing a gnome, taking it on a trip around the world (usually passing it from person to person), and photographing it at famous landmarks, with the photos being returned to the owner. Sometimes the gnome returns with a wife and children.

The tradition was first recorded in Australia in the 1980s. Although not definitive, the following blurb appeared in the Regular Shorts feature of the Sydney Morning Herald of September 24, 1986: 'AN EASTERN suburbs gnome-owner was distressed when she discovered her gnome had been stolen at the weekend. A note was found in its place: "Dear mum, couldn't stand the solitude any longer. Gone off to see the world. Don't be worried, I'll be back soon. Love Bilbo xxx."'

It was popularised by several films, including the 2001 movie Amélie "

  • Affirmations for attracting money

    http://gallery.hd.org/_tn/std/money/_more2000/_more04/Sweden-bank-notes-100-50-20-Kronor-SEK-1-DHD.jpg

    http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:d3IBEEvHYjRckM:http://www.guardianfx.com/banknotes/europe/GBP_20_new.jpg

    http://www.usmint.gov/kids/coinNews/images/bankNotesCoins.gif

I'm temporarily short of cash so I've got out my copy of " creating money " by Orin and DaBen and my affirmation notes. The work of reprogramming my subconscious has begun :) Mental spring clean , as it were:)

I remember a quite from the Maharishi . WHen he was asked " where is the money going to come from ? " he replied " From wherever it is at the moment" hehehe such a bright spark that chap :) Profound too. I like it .

We attract things to us based on what we believe. Our thoughts create our reality. If we believe that money is evil or scarce or " doesn't grow on trees " then we'll never have much.

Affirmations that are emotionally charged are the ones most likely to work. So when you are emotionally connected to your desire for material things, you can use the power of affirmations to see how quickly your need is manifested!

"I always have an abundance of money to meet all my needs." ( Good one )

    Method :

Repeat the affirmation several times, then stop affirming.
Be silent while knowing, visualizing, and feeling how it is to already have the amount of money you desire.
Feel as though it has already happened, and that all your needs are more than satisfied.
While in this state, hold yourself open to all the ways and means by which you will have money flow into your life to meet your every need.
Affirmations are written in the present tense - as if it is already happening.

Choose the affirmations that feel appropriate to you --those that resonate with you, or strike an emotional chord.

It is important that the words feel comfortable to you and are in line with who you are. Feel free to create one for your specific need by substituting other words that have special meaning to you:

    Affirmations of Abundant Supply:

    * I am now open to receive.
    * Life is easy, I have an abundance of whatever I need.
    * I now have surplus, all my needs are being met.( out of survival and into abundance)
    * I have unlimited abundance.
    * I now give and receive freely.
    * This is a rich universe and there is plenty for all of us.
    * I now live in a rich and loving universe.( great ! )
    * Money comes to me easily and effortlessly. ( do like this one :) )

    * I am always supplied with whatever I need.( so true )
    * I move forward with an expectancy of my greatest good.
    * I look for and receive a bountiful supply.
    * My greatest good is coming to me NOW.( YES YES YES !! )

    Other notes:

    Maintaining
the emotional charge of an affirmationis a challenge because although the power of thought is amazingly strong, it remains strong for a short period of time. Its quality changes and tends to diminish with each repetition. With each repetition, you tend to lose the mental picture of what the words mean, and they start to have less meaning.Affirmations that are meaningless fail to reach deep enough to touch the limitless powers of your subconscious mind. Also , old beliefs can be tough nuts to crack.

Draw , paint, sing , express affirmations in many creative ways.

    THOUGHT .......FEELING / EMOTION .........ACTION

  • Good morning

Something that Sapphire said yesterday presented itself for contemplation and reflection in my morning meditation.

I don't remember the exact words but it was " IRL - In real life " versus " online " and what is the difference.

My mind starts to spin off at a tangent. And I think back to pen pal days. Now that was considered real. Letters going backwards and forwards often for years without people ever meeting. The exchanges were real.

I could go deeper and ask " what is real and what isn't ? "
WHat is real and what is an illusion.
    What is fantasy?

Some people say if it is concrete, and you can touch it and see it , then it is real. But then I heard that a table and a stone are not solid , but they
are in fact atoms and molecules with spaces inbetween . Spaces . And spaces mean that the thing cannot be solid.

When you think about something intensely and in glorious technicolour if FEELS real. In your mind you can transport yourself backwards in time to scenarious and events that happened and re- live them and they certainly feel real and real enough evoke symptoms in your body such as tears of joy or tears of pain, cramping or great feelings of elation as chemicals are released by your brain into the body. Amazing.

For me cyber meetings are often as real and sometimes more real than " real life" meetings. Connections are made, connections that I call Soul connections which sometimes also lead to soul meetings. I have met my cyber onl ine friends in real life and they tend to turn out exactly as they have appeared on line.

I marvel at our ability to connect through the world wide web thanks to the internet. The internet does seem to be the manmade( human made ) equivalent to the collective unconscious, The World Soul.

I am so grateful for our inter- connectedness and our intra- connectedness. This on line experience has brought me closer to the experience of ONE NESS for which I am so grateful . Awesome. Totally Awesome. How about you ?

"It's just too hot to wear clothes today," Jack says as he stepped out of the shower, "honey, what do you think the neighbours would think if I mowed the lawn like this?"

"Probably that I married you for your money," she replied.

The man wished for a female companion 30 years younger...

    Whoosh...immediately he turned ninety!!!

    Gotta love that fairy!

    From: Jack's Universe [email:galiticajack@adelphia.net]
Some signs of the shift are discussed here.
    http://kryon.com/inspiritmag/articles/Braden_shift.NOW/shiftNOW_Gregg.jpg

There are many quantifiable scientific indicators proving that the Earth and the Solar System are going through changes which have never previously occurred in recorded human history. Many psychics and channelers say that we have entered the beginning of a dimensional shift which is already deeply affecting all of our lives. And some predict that within the next decade we will enter into an Ascension process fulfilling the prophecies of Jesus.

Gregg Braden is probably the most recognized person who is evaluating and revealing the scientific phenomena pointing to this shift. He became intrigued with all this when he was working for Phillips Petroleum in the late 1970s and noticed that the magnetics of the earth were at their lowest point in 2000 years and decreasing at a rapid rate.

Eventually, Braden wrote a book — Awakening to Zero Point — that documented this and other indicators of our rapidly changing planet.

Wynn: Is it true that the magnetic poles of the earth are in the process of shifting right now?

Gregg: In May-June-July of 2002, it was very well acknowledged and esteemed scientific journals actually were saying for the first time that we are in the process of a polar reversal.

Back in the 1960s, geologists were certain that the earth periodically went through a reversal. They could tell from core samples, ice samples, and fossils, as well as magnetized particles that were locked into certain positions in the rock of the earth. Geologists were so certain about this phenomenon that they actually mapped out the last four-and-a-half-million years, and the resulting records suggested that the earth has gone through fourteen of these polar reversals. At that time, back in 1961 and 1962, scientists felt that the last pole reversal occurred at about the time of the last Ice Age, ten to twelve thousand years ago. And they were certain it would happen again, but not for thousands of years, so it was nothing to worry about.

But through the 1990s, geologists continued to refine this kind of information. They had been saying it took thousands of years for this to happen. Then they began to say, "Well, it can happen in hundreds of years." But now, recent evidence from some of the ice cores in Greenland and Antarctica say that it could happen in as little as a decade.

But now, we know that the poles are actually moving. We're living it right now. We don't know exactly what that means, because even though it's happened fourteen times in the last four and a half million years, it's never happened with six billion people on the earth.

Wynn: Are you saying that it's common knowledge?

Gregg: It's common knowledge to people that need to know these things. For example, FAA regulations say that when the poles move beyond five or eight degrees, the runways at the airports have to be renumbered to correlate with the magnetic headings that the pilots are seeing. The first airport in the United States to comply with this mandate was Minneapolis/St. Paul, where they spent something on the order of eighty-five thousand dollars to go through and renumber the runway headings.

But what happened in the May-June-July time frame of 2002 is that journals such as Nature, Science, Scientific American, and New Scientist released reports saying that we are definitely in the process of a magnetic reversal, and the AP wires picked it up.

Scientists have no idea what the impact is going to be to electronic and electromagnetic power grids. But even more, they don't know what it means to human immune systems. Alternative healing modalities have shown a connection between magnetics and the immune system, which also would imply that our immune systems could very well be keyed into the magnetic fields of the earth.

We know that birds and animals migrate along the lines of these magnetic fields. So there is speculation that the changes taking place in the magnetic field are responsible for the changing migratory patterns in birds that have been recorded in Asia and North America.

The change in the fields also may explain why whales are beaching themselves. The lines of navigation that the whales have always followed have shifted and now lead them onto a beach. When we take them back out into the water and set them free, they continue to align themselves with the same magnetic lines, and in following them, they end up on the beach again.

So, yes, it's common knowledge now. The most respected scientific journals say that we're in this shift. And even though we don't know precisely what that means, it's significant that it is being acknowledged in peer-review kinds of literature, and not just in speculative or pseudo-scientific magazines.

Wynn: When was this magnetic shift first acknowledged?

Gregg: It would have been in the June/July time frame of 2002. People were sending me emails that they had seen it, and giving me references. I also found references in the magazines myself.

Wynn: Would we survive a complete pole shift?

Gregg: Any answer to that question must of necessity lie within the realm of speculation, because in traditional recorded human history it's never happened. On the other hand, there are Native traditions and ancient Hebrew biblical traditions suggesting that a magnetic shift may have happened even more recently than the last Ice Age. That was 10,000 to 12,000 years ago, but these traditions suggest that the last shift may have happened as recently as 3,600 years ago.

Native legends speak of a day 3,600 years ago when the sun rose from the west as it had always done, hovered in the sky for more than a full day, and set in the east — but the next day, it rose in the east and set in the west, as it does today. Hebrew traditions speak of this event, also, saying that it happened during a battle. The ancient Hebrews took it as a sign that one side was receiving celestial assistance, because it stayed light long enough for the battle to complete in their favor.

We can't verify this in the rock or fossil records, because 3,600 years is too short a period of time for such an event to be reflected there. All we have to go by are traditions, legends, and myths preserved in oral and written documents.

What the trandition tells us, however, is that if something like this were to happen, the people of the earth would live through it. It would have to be a really strange day to live through, but if the ancient legends are true, it happened and the people apparently survived. However, we don't know how it affected their lives.

Wynn: Do you have any idea how this magnetic shift might change consciousness?

Gregg: The speculation is that there is a correlation between consciousness
and magnetics. In order to understand how this connection might work, it is useful to compare it to a computor's memory. The magnetic fields in the memory are held in place through an electrical charge — a trickle charge — within the computer itself. When the batteries in the computer die, the charge is gone, and the memory is lost. We have to reload the operating system.

Similarly, by researchers and descendents of indigenous peoples believe that when the earth goes through what science sees as a magnetic reversal, it
also will be a great shift and cleansing of the earth's consciousness. There will be nothing holding all the magnetic patterns that have been put in place. So when we awaken from this shift, what becomes consciousness will be our truest nature, our truest essence. And the memory of all of the evil or all the bad things or all of the grudges or the ego and we've held against one another as individuals and nations will not be part of that new consciousness, that
    new grid.

From that perspective, many traditions predict, sense, or speculate that we are nearing a time of what they call the Great Cleansing, and that this cleansing is happening at a level of core memory of consciousness.

Wynn: So is it possible to assume that in some way, our memory is connected to this magnetic field?

Gregg: I think so. I think that because of the strange accounts of the astronauts who left earth and went into space during the Apollo Program. In leaving the earth's atmosphere and circling the planet many miles above the surface, the affects of earth's magnetics were negligible. And the astronauts began to have experiences that they were not prepared or trained for, that were totally unanticipated.

When they were in space and looked back to earth, they began having insights and feelings, awakenings and awarenesses that they had never had when they were on the earth. It meant something different to each one of them.

In much the same way, friends of mine who went to Viet Nam were all changed when they came home. It changed everyone. For some, the change was so painful that they could never speak about it, and for others, the change was a catalyst in their lives and they spoke of it incessantly.

And I believe there was actually a PBS special that documented this same phenomenon with the astronauts, that they were never the same afterward. When they came back, there were some who didn't know what to do with their outer space experience. Some turned to drugs and alcohol. Others channeled the change that occurred within them in very positive, life-affirming projects.

One of this latter group was Dr. Edgar Mitchell, who founded the Noetic Sciences Organization in an effort to validate the phenomenon of human consciousness. Another astronaut undertook the search for Noah's Ark, and actually found it embedded in the ice on Mt. Ararat, right where the Bible said it would be.

Wynn: So the implication here is that these astronauts, because they left the magnetic field of the earth, had some kind of spiritual awakening?

Gregg: They certainly went through a catharsis when they were no longer in the influence of the earth's magnetic field.

We also see something similar happening when we look at the magnetic fields of the earth. They are not constant over the surface of the earth, and contour maps, available through United States Geologic Survey, show the varying intensities of magnetic fields over the surface of the earth — where magnetic fields have a very high intensity and where the intensity if very low.

Those fields have shifted over time, and may actually account for why populations of humans have migrated to the places they've migrated to. They might have been following these magnetic contours.

What happens is that in the places where the magnetics are very low, where their effects are negligible, tremendous change and innovation appear to occur. Where the magnetics are traditionally high, those are the places of stagnation where changes, although they do happen, take a long time and change is very slow in coming.

If I were coming here from another world and didn't know anything about the people of the earth, and if I were looking for a place where the opportunity of change was the greatest, I would look for the zero contour lines. And if you look at a map of the magnetics on earth today, what you find is that there is a zero contour line that runs along the West Coast of North America — along the California coast and on up off the coast of Alaska. In other words, the magnetics along the West Coast are almost nil!

When we think of the West Coast, we think about wacky California. Well, the truth is California is a seed, one of several, and it's traditionally been very innovative in technology, science, fashion, finance, and the arts, because there is an opportunity for tremendous change there.

Within North American, the flip side of that would be an area of highest magnetics, where the magnetic fields are the most dense. And you find this down through some of the Southeastern states — the very states that are traditionally viewed as being conservative. This doesn't mean that change can't happen there. What is says, however, is that change takes a long time there, and people have to see a really good reason before they are going to budge from what they've always done.

Wynn: So where the magnetic field is less dense, people are more open to the moment?

Gregg: They're open to change, period. It doesn't mean that the change is good, bad, right, or wrong. It's important to be clear about this. The consciousness of the people will determine how that change comes about.

I'll give an ironic example. There is a zero contour line that runs right through the Middle East. It actually runs almost directly underneath the area we call the Suez Canal, right up into Israel, right along the coast of the Red Sea. Yes, right in that area is a zero contour line. This means that area is ripe for change. But again, how that change comes about — whether it's peaceful and constructive or angry and destructive — is determined by the consciousness of the people who live there.

Wynn: So it's not good or bad either way?

Gregg: Precisely. It simply is an opportunity for change. At the same time, the highest magnetic contour lines noted anywhere on the planet earth have traditionally been in portions of the former Soviet Union, Russia, and Siberia.

We know that in that part of the world, there was a system that was in place, and while change came about, it was slow and painful, a long time coming, with a lot of suffering. But when that change happened, there was a cascade effect, and it happened almost overnight.

So the correlations are very interesting between human consciousness, the opportunities for innovation, change, doing things in a new way, and the magnetics of our world.

The Earth has many areas of high and low change.

Wynn: Our readers are going to want to know how they can best face the changes that are coming in our world as a whole.

Gregg: I'll be as concise as I can. I think that the answer to that is perhaps encapsulated best in the words of those who have come before us, the ancient Essenes, in a text that's more than 2,500 years old. It reminds us of our relationship to the world around us, and says simply that the world around us is nothing more and nothing less than a mirror of what we have become from within.

So when we see a world that appears angry, cruel, and thoughtless, that produces suffering for our brothers and sisters all over the world — from this perspective, that world is a mirror of what we have become as individuals, families, societies, and nations. It's not right, wrong, good or bad. It's simply a reflection of who we are. The condition of the planet is a feedback mechanism.

So if we want to see change in our world, we must become that change in our every day lives. If we want to see peace, tolerant understanding, compassion, and forgiveness at the global level, we must become that. At the dinner table.
With our families. We must become that with our schools.

We must demand that we be entertained through peace, compassion, and understanding. It doesn't have to be dull and boring. It can still be very exciting, but it does not have to be ruthless, thoughtless, cruel, or heartless.

So in our daily lives, every moment of every day, we make a choice that either affirms or denies life in our bodies. Because we are linked through this grid. Our individual choices all pool into the collective answer to our future.

If we'd like to see a collective change, we must individually become that change.

Wynn: We have this date of 2012 that many people are saying is this time of global shift or Ascension. What do you think is going to happen?

Gregg: The date 2012 is interesting because it comes up in Mayan traditions, Egyptian traditions, some of the Christian traditions, and even in the Bible Code — which is very controversial unto itself. change on that date, we miss life. From my perspective, if we simply live each day of our lives to its fullest, we reconcile the experiences that cross our paths each day, we reconcile the opportunity to honor life, to honor our relationships with one another.

If we are honest, truthful, considerate, caring and compassionate, if we live this each day, we have already prepared for whatever could possibly come on 2012 or any other day, any other year, any time in our future.

I know people who are living their lives hoarding boxcars full of food and ammunition, preparing for the day when our world changes. I understand, and I think it's good to be self sufficient. I understand what they are saying. But also what I've seen is that so much of their lives is dedicated to preparing for that day, they've missed the beauty and the mystery of life that unfolds in every day. And it's in perceiving this beauty and mystery that we prepare for the greatest challenges!

Wynn: So basically, if one wants to approach this change with the maximum positive outcome for themselves, the key is to live each day with the maximum output of love, compassion, and caring?

Gregg: Yes, and to do this, we have to live each day consciously. Be aware of the opportunities. Recognize the opportunities that cross our paths. Every day, we're given the opportunity to be tolerant of another belief system, to forgive someone who has hurt or angered us, to reconcile our own judgments about what should or should not be in our world.

If we can reconcile these things as they cross our paths and consciously deal with them in the moment, then we know we're changing the chemistry of our bodies by changing the way we feel, and are thus preparing ourselves for whatever transitions the earth is going to go through.
    If that makes sense.

Wynn: Yes, it does to me. Is there anything really important to close with for our readers that I might have missed?

Gregg: For the first time in our history, the fate of our species, our entire species, rests upon the choices of a single generation. And what we've just done is talked about what some of those choices are all about.

  • Food shopping done

http://data4.blog.de/media/659/1599659_1cb5535081_m.jpgShopping was fun. I was quite ravenous when I got home. In that state , deep freeze things get put away and rest have to wait till later. Smart eh ? :)
Lunch ? Grilled fresh salmon and tzaziki and aubergine from yesterday , then á glass of cranberry & raspberry juice in a one of my kosta boda wine glasses. Tastes much better that way :)

You probably can't see it on this picture , but there is a little star engraved in the side of the glass . You are supposed to fill the glass up to the star and not further.

    Cheers !

It's calming down now and I'm about to venture out to do my grocert shopping as the fridge is bare.

    V. in Atlanta was on line so we had our usual Saturday morning chat. V is an early bird so she gets when she gets up round about 6 am is when I am up and about at noon.

It was an inspiring chat. I am so grateful for our friendsip and the Reiki she sent me yesterday. Things were not looking good for me there for while yesterday and V. sent me Reiki so trip to the local ER and repeat of Monday's performance was avoided . Blessed be .. praise the Lord .. and thanks to Angels and fairies everywhere:)

So I'm venturing out today to get food supplies for the weekend. Healthy stuff like cranberry juice, cabbage, free range eggs, fruit and veggies , yoghurt , nuts, and sopm e 80% proof dark chocolate. No booze for me this weekend , but I will survive with a lush smoothie or something :)

  • Choices and decisions

I also have a decision to make

I've attacked the huge pile of laundry:)
Two machine loads are washing as I type.
    Sheets and duvets.
Doing the laundry involves going down 4 flights of stairs in to the bowels of the earth - no lift.
Another pile of jeans, socks t-shirts ,knickers awaits.
Now .. I can either tackle that now or leave it till another day
I would like to have a clean pair of jeans the other things I can hand wash.
    Decisions decisions ......
One more machine it is then :)
Clean jeans and undies win !
    YEAHhhhhhhhhh :)

  • Odd socks

I've always wondered where all the odd socks go and then someone sent me a link to a website dedicated to " odd socks " hehe :)

I keep buying new socks and still end up with odd socks.
LAst week , I came up with a solution , which I shall pass on to you now.

    Wear odd socks !

There are many sensible reasons why this is a good solution

    - it's eco-friendly. You don't have to throw away socks just because you can't find a matching sock.
    - decision to wear odd socks is stress and worry free. You take whatever comes and wear it
    - It's time saving. You don't have to pair them up
    - It could be a conversation starter . Why are you wearing one red sock and one black sock ?
    - It's an excercise of will
    - it's fun

There are probably even more reasons . feel free to add to this list:)

  • Dare to risk

If you 've read the previous post you'll know that there's risks and there are risks. You don't have to be stupid about taking risks ;) Our Albert was a very naughty boy !

"To try is to risk failure. But risk must be
taken because the greatest hazard of life is to risk
nothing. The person who risks nothing does
nothing, has nothing, is nothing. He may avoid
suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn, feel,
    change, grow, live, and love."

    -- Leo Buscaglia

Daring to risk is an essential step to self
empowerment. This is the key to breaking out of stuck
thinking and behaviour. It is about breaking
through the comfort zones and barriers. It is about
experiencing new levels of mind and feelings. It
    is about experiencing more life.

"A life spent in making mistakes is not only more
honorable, but more useful than a life spent
    doing nothing."

    -- George Bernard Shaw

"Only those who risk going too far can know how
    far they can go."

  • The lion and Albert

    before

    http://www.uea.ac.uk/edu/learn/rice/edgar.gif

    and then ....
    http://oldpoetry.com/images/ext/Opoem/7/686.jpg

There's a famous seaside place called Blackpool,
That's noted for fresh-air and fun,
    And Mr and Mrs Ramsbottom
Went there with young Albert, their son.

A grand little lad was their Albert
All dressed in his best; quite a swell
'E'd a stick with an 'orse's 'ead 'andle
The finest that Woolworth's could sell.

They didn't think much to the ocean
The waves, they was fiddlin' and small
There was no wrecks... nobody drownded
'Fact, nothing to laugh at, at all.

    So, seeking for further amusement
They paid and went into the zoo
Where they'd lions and tigers and cam-els
And old ale and sandwiches too.

There were one great big lion called Wallace
His nose were all covered with scars
He lay in a som-no-lent posture
With the side of his face to the bars.

Now Albert had heard about lions
How they were ferocious and wild
And to see Wallace lying so peaceful
Well... it didn't seem right to the child.

So straight 'way the brave little feller
Not showing a morsel of fear
Took 'is stick with the'orse's 'ead 'andle
And pushed it in Wallace's ear!

You could see that the lion didn't like it
For giving a kind of a roll
He pulled Albert inside the cage with 'im
And swallowed the little lad... whole!

Then Pa, who had seen the occurrence
And didn't know what to do next
Said, "Mother! Yon lions 'et Albert"
And Mother said "Eeh, I am vexed!"

    So Mr and Mrs Ramsbottom
Quite rightly, when all's said and done
    Complained to the Animal Keeper
That the lion had eaten their son.

The keeper was quite nice about it
He said, "What a nasty mishap
Are you sure that it's your lad he's eaten?"
Pa said, "Am I sure? There's his cap!"

So the manager had to be sent for
He came and he said, "What's to do?"
Pa said, "Yon lion's 'eaten our Albert
And 'im in his Sunday clothes, too."

Then Mother said, "Right's right, young feller
    I think it's a shame and a sin
For a lion to go and eat Albert
And after we've paid to come in!"

    The manager wanted no trouble
He took out his purse right away
And said, "How much to settle the matter?"
And Pa said "What do you usually pay?"

But Mother had turned a bit awkward
When she thought where her Albert had gone
She said, "No! someone's got to be summonsed"
    So that were decided upon.

Round they went to the Police Station
In front of a Magistrate chap
They told 'im what happened to Albert
And proved it by showing his cap.

    The Magistrate gave his o-pinion
That no-one was really to blame
He said that he hoped the Ramsbottoms
Would have further sons to their name.

At that Mother got proper blazing
"And thank you, sir, kindly," said she
"What waste all our lives raising children
To feed ruddy lions? Not me!"

  • Friday

Pause to blog before going into town.
Mobile woke me up this morning wanting to be re charged. That bleep is insistant. I heard it even when it was several yards away in the hall. Like a child wanting to be fed waaah wahhhh ;)

    Dream

I was in he US of A last night in someone's home. I had to leave and the woman was concerned she could not manage. I was telling her that all she had to do was to call the emergency advice service " samaritans " in the telephone directiory if anything happened that she could not deal with.

She picks up a book - we are looking through it until I reealise that this won't do - it's an ordinary book , not a directory.

I ask for a telephone book. I'm not familiar with the layout , as it is American , and start to flick through the pages. There are several coloured pages sections.

Then I have to leave , as I have a train to catch at 10pm. I hope the woman managed on her own. End of Dream.

Where do these thoughts come from ?
    Right .
Best get dressed and be on my way
    See you later
Bless you as you work and play today :)

  • If you want something to be different from what it is

If you want something to be different than it is, you might as well teach a cat to bark. You can try and try, and in the end the cat will look up at you and say, "Meow."

Wanting something to be different than it is is hopeless. ¨

Thoughts are just what is. They appear. They're innocent. They're not personal. They're like the breeze or the leaves on the trees or the raindrops falling.

Thoughts arise like that, and we can make friends with them.

Would you argue with a raindrop?

The world is nothing but my perception of it. I see only through myself. I hear only through the filter of my story.

An uncomfortable feeling is not an enemy. It’s a gift that says, "Get honest; inquire."

We reach out for alcohol, or television, or credit cards, so we can focus out there and not have to look at the feeling.

And that's as it should be, because in our innocence we haven't known how. So now what we can do is reach out for a paper and a pencil, write thought down, and investigate.

Every story, every thing is God: reality. It apparently emerges from out of Itself and appears as a life. It lives forever within the story, until the story ends. From out of Itself I appeared as my story, until the questions brought me home.

We buy a home for our children, for our bodies; we get a garage for our car; we have dog houses for our dogs; but we won't give the mind a home. And we treat it like an outcast. We shame it and blame it and shame it again. But if you let the mind ask its questions, then the heart will rise with the answer. And "rising" is just a metaphor.

The heart will reveal the answer, and the mind can finally rest at home in the heart and come to see that it and the heart are one. That's what these four questions are about.

The Work always leaves you with less of a story. Who would you be without your story? You never know until you inquire. There is no story that is you or that leads to you. Every story leads away from you. Turn it around; undo it. You are what exists before all stories. You are what remains when the story is understood.

Until we know that death is equal to life, and that it comes in its own sweet way, perfectly, we're going to take on the role of God without the awareness of it, and it's always going to hurt. In other words, whenever you mentally oppose what is, you're going to experience sadness and apparent separation. There's no sadness without the story. What is is. You are it. You're not saving anyone; you're not killing anyone. The world doesn't depend on you.

    --Byron Katie

The Work of Byron Katie is a deeply transformative process of inquiry that is helping people around the world approach their problems from a perspective of clarity and inner peace.

  • more about my creepy encounter the other day

I do think the guy who follwoed me home from the station wanted contact and that it took courage for him to approach me . I don't think he was a rapist. If he was, he would not have asked " are you interested " lol " excuse me , but can I rape you?" lol

He seemed shy. I think there was something seriously wrong with him. His eyes seemed cloudy and the countertransference was strong. I think he was having fantasies about me and I did not like that intrusion into my space.

But all joking aside , it was scary. It reminds me of an encounter I had with a flasher who flashed his willy at me in the tube station and then said " sorry .. sorry .......I haven't had a woman is such a long time " It is pathetic and sad. I think there was something very wrong with this guy.

I was curious, I still am , but did not dare to enter into conversation with him. In an ideal safe world , I would love to have spoken more with him.

These encounters happen for a reason. What is the higher purpose? I wonder what the purpose of this encounter was? It does seem to be an extension of my theme from the GJLM meeting - " the right to say no " I told him I was not interested . :)

I could have said- Look here's my card - I'm a therapist - call and make an appointment " ???

  • Dating

Has anyone here tried speed dating +
    Internet dating ?

Women want, intelligence , comedy, good looks, wealth , the whole package while men settle for 90%.

    True ?
    False ?

    Men find women confusing
    True?
    False ?

    Men are scared of women
    True?
    False ?

This whole business of " girl meets boy " seems to have become a science where as before it was simply left up to nature and chemistry.

    Interesting :)

  • Thoughts on creating peace

The consciousness of creating peace begins in each individual

We have the power to create peace in our lives which then contributes to peace in the world.

    Peace begings with me.
    peace begins in my heart
    Peace begins in my soul.

I am moving through turbulance and chaos to as safer, calmer place.

Paradoxically, the chaos and turbulance and dynamic are necessary for change and therefore for peace

Resistance to change causes stress and dis-ease.

Let there be peace in my body, mind and spirit.

a disturbing line from today's news mentioned a bill and continued spending on the war in Iraq. Can't find the article now. I don't want more money to be spent on bombs when money is so needed to support ecducation , health , welfare and ecology .. saving of the planet, :##

Even though I avoid news like the plague , these headlines seep through , so they deserve attantion , thought and reflection .. evaluation.

Peace be with us and blessed be.
I am thankful for all peaceful , joyful and loving support and guidance.

  • Sorting things out in my mind

Duality is always with me. My sign of gemini is a sign of duality.Duality is always present within me , I've always know this, Right now the conflicting sides within me are particularly noticable.

    On the one hand....
the time is right, the time is now, the time of the new moon, support of natural forces and energies, new beginnings, abundance, new opportunities, the energies of the growing moon, the force is with you , more sunshine, more daylight,

    one the other hand ...
physical weakness, allergies, watery itchy eyes, irritability, over- sensitivity, bloated feeling , imune system on a low, weakness, vulnerablity, resistance , resostance to what ? moving forward? Distortion, stiffled creativity , struggle, lack of physical strength , lack of money ,

There's quite a dynamic going on and this is a good thing. BUT I do seem to be out of balance physically. How can I correct this ?

Don't worry about the " HOW " says my wise self.
    Focus on what you want,
    Create a VISION
    WHere is your DESIRE ?
Within what you perceive as your challenges or your poblems lie the clue for how to correct the imbalance.
What do you need to focus on ?

    Focus on ,,,,,

    Physical well being
    Strength
    Power
    Strengthening imune system
    Release ..
    Allow yor good
    Receive
What are you holding on to ?
There are things you don't need any more ( Well done Mira for taking
    rubbish to the tip :DD
    Cleanse ?
    Detox ?
    Create a VISION
    create a sort of MAP .. " where am I going ? "

  • I can see Venus

I can see venus from my kitchen window shining brightly in the deep blue sky. When I spent the summer in Greece We used to watch it appear in the sky while having our evening drinks on the terrace.

    http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:RaoD1oCt0lIXgM:http://www.solarviews.com/browse/venus/venus1.jpg

I remember the Venus transit on 8 June 2004 . I was in Barcelona and dreamed intensively that night.

Venus is the second planet from the Sun and is named after the Roman goddess Venus.

Venus is sometimes called Earth's "sister planet", as the two are very similar in size and bulk composition.

Because Venus is closer to the Sun than the Earth, it always appears in roughly the same direction from Earth as the Sun so on Earth it can usually only be seen a few hours before sunrise or a few hours after sunset.

However, when at its brightest, Venus may be seen during the daytime, making it one of only two heavenly bodies that can be seen both day and night (the other being the Moon). It is sometimes referred to as the "Morning Star" or the "Evening Star", and when it is visible in dark skies it is by far the brightest star-like object in the sky.

Venus was known to ancient Babylonians around 1600 BC, and to the Mayan civilization (the Mayans developed a religious calendar based on Venus's motion) and must have been known long before in prehistoric times, given that it is the third brightest object in the sky after the Sun and Moon. Its symbol is a stylized representation of the goddess Venus's hand mirror: a circle with a small cross underneath.

  • Wednesday 16th May- a new moon .

I wonder if Mrs F knows.
New moons are times for new beginnings. This new moon I intend to focus on my physical health and well being; boosting the imune system, listening to the body ,meditation , yoga and things like that. Spring is a time for new beginnings.
It seems important to let go of past memories that longer serve and reconnect to all the parts that have been waiting to be given new life. Yes to the experience of love and passion that can only be fully appreciated when LIfe FOrce is strong and flowing freely through the body .

  • Good morning and update

Goodmorning friends in Blogland wherever you happen to be, whatever you happen to be doing.Safe journey to our absent friends . I see them flying through the air with love and ease and coping excellently with airports , luggage and stuff.

10:19 and I am awake and have been for an hour. My mornings are getting earlier as it's not easy to sleep when it is light outside. Following the light.

    Head is feeling better too.:)

I woke up with a headache again, but it's almost gone now.
Hard to say if it is the result of the penicillin I am taking or allergies. There is a hack of a lot of pollen around. My eyes are watering and itchy but not inflamed. I do hope I'll skip that part this year.

I don't like taking medicine and am very suspicious of synthetic drugs. I'm imagining the anti- biotic war that is going on inside me .. the army of pharmaceuticals sent in to cure the infection and then on the other side my body's own faithful soldiers looking tired worn and bedraggled. Bless them. I am going to have to give the lads a positive boost and equip them with star wars like lasers and magic shields and hi tech zapping healing machines :)

It's amazing what the powers of the mind can do. Paul Mc Kenna is a wonderful example. NLP neuro linguistic programming , sugestopedia and a whole range of alternative therapies. It's only lack of funds that prevent me from using alternative meds more.

    Right.. breakfast now :) TTFN

  • Must just say this

    It's been an eventful day.

After taking rubbish to the tip, I had a little rest , hada shower , washed hair , out on make up and headed off to my GJLM meeting at J's place.

GJLM is our monthly " soul sisters " meeting. G, J, L are women I trained with and have know now for 9 years. It is such a gift to relax and share with soul sisters.

We started with tea and raspberry pie with vanilla sauce andlatercooked dinner together - pasta tortellini in J's creamy blue cheese sauce with mixed salad. Wine for the others , cranberry juice for me.

J has found a man she is fond of :) The guy comes with baggage though :( but is cuddly . Challenges J. think of it as challenges , and not problems.

G is the only one who is in a steady relationship. We are all quite envious and G , although she is happy longs for freedom - to be set free for a year to explore and THEN to return again , hopefully.

Sex and relatioships was the theme this time. Kundalini energies.

5 ½ hours whizzed by and we each drew a Tarot card , which always seem to sum up the evening

    J - THE MOON
    G - THE LOVERS
    L - TEMPARENCE
    M - THE EMPRESS.

I really must get some sleep now.
    Lots of love everyone
    night night

  • A creepy end to the day

A strange man, followed me home tonight.I felt his eyes on me as as soon as he sat down mext to me on the bench at the Central Station.10 minutes till the next train.

He looks like a traveller, casually dressed carrying an overnight bag. 40 s0mething at a guess. I start to feel uncomfortable and uneasy.
THe train arrives and of course he gets on and sits opposite me.
I didn't know where to look so I close my eyes.
I get off train and he is right behind me.
I go up the escalator not daring to look back , but feel his presence.
As I climb up the steps leading to my street I feel him right behind me. At this point I'm starting to feel really uneasy.
He then makes his move, starts walking along side me and starts to speak

    " I don't usually do this .. " he starts

I remain silent. My door is only a few feet away. It's nearly midnight and there is noone about.

" I take it you are not interested , " he says
    " I am not interested " I tell him firmly " Goodnight "

As I unlock the my front door I wonder Why I said Goodnight,
Politeness.OMG he knows where I live now.

I am glad that I am home safe and sound.I've never been scared coming home late at night , but this man gave off ´some seriously bad vibes.

Decided YES can't be that difficult
Another stressful moment on diescpvering VAT has to be paid in , like yesterday.
    Right. That's done.
    Breakfast next.
I'm stressing .. aware of that ... and at the same time calming myself down. No worries
MB arrives ealy raring to go.
I warn him that I'm in Zombie mode and explain why
MB understands when things are clear, and I did make an effort to be clear despite my muddled head.*mira pats herself on the back .. well done*
" I'm parked right outside ...." .. right .. and he starts carrying stuff down to th car, I have one thing to carry. :DD
I have address and instruction of how to get to tip
*mira organised yet again * and map is in the telephone directory which we take with us.
In the car I share my dramas with MB
and he tells me of his latest escapades , which I shall not include here ;)

THE TIP is a fantastic place - with different stations for different kinds of waste.

I am impressed... coloured glass , white glass, paper, card , light bulbs , toxic waste , paint, building materials , wood, electronics, fridges, cookers ...... amazing. Well done and brownie points to the council. People arrive and sort things out. Very organised.

We get it all done in about an hour. MB rushes on to another appointment. I thank him thousand times." That 's what friends are for , darling" hesays and refuses kiss as I 've told him eralier that I've forgotten to brush teeth lol ... honest I am ;) ... that is still to come :)

Tomorrow , MB is coming over and helping me dump some rubbish at the tip - it will all be sorted out and recycled

Thinks : I would like to make my own compost - though it does not seem practical living in a flat as I do. Compost would be good for the plants on the balcony. I eat a lot of veggies. Any bright ideas ? Does compost have to be smelly? Are there mini compost systems that one can buy ?

Do worms come automatically or do they need to be introduced ?

Fascinating thoughts .. *Yawn * ... night night then everyone XX:wave::zz::zz::yawn::yawn::DD:roll::yes::))

  • The Silent Ego

The Silent Ego ¨by Owen Waters

In today's culture, the word ego is usually applied to
dysfunctional personality traits. If a person is controlling,
obnoxious or throws a temper tantrum, their ego is said to be
    to blame.

Dysfunctional attributes of the ego all spring from the Old
Reality of separation consciousness. Mankind has spent
thousands of years exploring the effects of separation from
other people, separation from other states of consciousness,
and separation from the spiritual source within.

Separation consciousness causes deep-seated fears; fears that
there will not be enough love, land, or resources. From these
fears spring jealousy, greed and aggression. It is little
wonder that, after thousands of years of nightmarish
consequences, mankind is ready to move on to the healing phase
    of existence upon Earth.

The emerging New Reality brings heart-centered consciousness.
The keyword of the new consciousness is integration, not
separation. Over the coming decades and centuries, mankind will
find ways to resolve differences and issues of separation in
ways that are inspired by unconditional love and compassion.
Violence may beget violence, but it is based upon the illusion
of lack. Love begets love and, being based upon a very real
component of Creation, it has the real power.

In the Old Reality, priests would work on being in control of
their congregations by berating them with accusations that they
are worthless sinners. These days, some teachers who claim to
be spiritual berate their audiences with accusations that they
have bad ego problems. In fact, they claim, having any ego at
all is bad, bad, bad. People in the audience, even gentle souls
with wonderful hearts, are then supposed to begin to doubt
themselves. After all, they suppose, the allegedly enlightened
teacher must know better than they. And, so, the worm of
control begins to work its way into their minds.

The New Reality is not about power over anyone. It is about
self-empowerment, about power with everyone. The ego of a
spiritual person is not a problem. It is an essential part of
the human system, created expressly by the Creator of all life
in order for it to experience self-consciousness from an
    infinite number of viewpoints.

Infinite Being is the all-encompassing consciousness from
which the universe was created. Everything in the universe is
made of consciousness. Just as each snowflake is unique, so is
each person. Your primary purpose in life is to experience life
from one individual, unique point of view.

You cannot cut off a part of yourself. The ego cannot be cast
away and forgotten. It is your essential sense of identity.
Even if someone were successful in casting away a part of
themself, there would come a time when they would have to
retrieve that lost part and integrate it back into themselves
    in a healthy, holistic manner.

You are an expression of Infinite Being as it experiences
itself from all possible viewpoints. The best way you can serve
yourself and Infinite Being, the source within us all, is to
live your life to your own, personal, highest potential. And
celebrate who you are, because there is no one exactly like you
    in the entire universe.

  • I haven't been out all day

I haven't been out all day
Feeling guilt , but what's the use of that?
So many fun things to do indoors.

Jamie Oliver has just made a scrumptious dish
Dead easy too with runner beans and monk fish :)

    http://www.gardenaction.co.uk/images/runner-beans.jpg

Garlic , olive oil , anchovies in pan
    Add a little chilli
    Add beans
    Add passata ( tomato )
High heat for 5- 7 mins so that beans soften

Take monkfish .. and now comes the genius bit .. he cuts 3/4 way through and then flattens the fish out so its all one thickness.

Sprinkle with olive oil salt and pepper and then grill of dry pre heated hot grill pan

Pile of bean stuff on the plate and ten topped with monk fish and a dash of gremolata - parsley, lemon and olive oil mixture
    Drooooooooooooooooooool

there are so many dates for Mother's Day - UK. USA and Sweden. It has hard for me to work up much enthusiasm for these Commercial days, so artificial and synthetic.

  • LUNCH happy hoki and veggies

Hoki is a white fish that lives in the waters near New Zealand . It ‘s a “ green “ fish apparently. Not the colour green , but eco-friendly. I do hope so . I like happy eco friendly fish and
doing my bit for the environment.Enjoying a tasty good deed is an added bonus.

So hoki has been gently fried in a little olive oil and butter , taken out of pan place delicately on plate and sprinkled with a littel Terriyaki .. into same pan go the mixed green veggies &
sweet corn and finally let the whole lot mingle together.

Where the heck is little Madaleine ?
You know , the little girl whose 4th birthday it is today (?) the little who disappeared from the holiday resort in Portugal.

Madaleine's disappearance has touched many souls. As a mother I simply could not go to that place of " poof .. my child is gone .. disappeared ,,,, here one minute gone the next " It's too awful to think about,

I affirm that Madaleine is safe, well and happy and on her way back to her parents. This or something better is a possible reality. So be it and so it is. Love in all dimensions. Thank you thank you than you.

  • Good morning

    Good Saturday morning !
    Today is a good day.

I woke up at 9 am, which is suprising as on Saturdays the nursery in the flat a couple of floors below me is closed. there are no kids outside and none of the usual screaming and shouting and sounds of them playing. Can one be woken by the absence of sounds ?

Still .. stillness a sense of peace and calm
I meditated in my " power spot" place in the living room

Thoughts from the 80s came up
Party I had in the old flat
I remembered the magenta and yellow handcrafted invitation cards that I made " The time has come the Walrus said to speak of many things ....."
    1985.. 86 .... the time of my " awakening "
I became aware of " things " that were there
like bits and pieces of a puzzle floating like clouds in space
an inkling that something was going on
something was gestating and coming together
something was preparing to come into ´being
    and the importance of celebration
    gathering together my friends
in an effort to see who I was
We are reflected in our friends
If I was to collect pictures of all my friends and make a collage of them and write about them I would see facets of myself
I did that once , well sort of , made a collage of pictures of people in my life up till then
It might well have been around that time in the 80s
    It's on my bedroom wall

    Hmmmm..right .. breakfast time

    http://www.astronomy.pomona.edu/archeo/scandanavia/vikings/freya.jpg

Freya was the goddess of love and beauty. She was the sister of Frey and from Vanaheim. The gods and goddesses of Asgard thought her to be so beautiful that they immediately accepted her and gave her own realm and palace. She was the most beautiful and beloved among all the goddesses. Freya sometimes joined the Valkyrs in battle and in collecting the dead after the battle. She carried weapons and armor and only wore feminine clothing from the waist down.

    http://www.destinyslobster.com/asatru/images/freya_nouveau.jpg

Freyja (sometimes anglicized as Freya or Freja), sister of Freyr and daughter of Niord (Njǫrðr), is usually seen as a Norse fertility goddess.

Freyja means "lady" in Old Norse (cf. fru or Frau in Scandinavian and German). While there are some sources suggesting that she was called on to bring fruitfulness to fields or wombs, she was a goddess of love, beauty, sex, and attraction. Freyja was also a goddess of war, death, magic, prophecies and wealth. Freya is cited as receiving half of the dead lost in battle in her hall Folkvang, whereas Odin would receive the other half.

Freija gives her name to our FRIDAY :)

Our Friday is also VENUS day .. French "Vendredi"

  • OM MANI PADME HUM

On the meaning of: OM MANI PADME HUM
"The jewel is in the lotus or praise to the jewel in the lotus"

(by His Holiness Tenzin Gyatso The Fourteenth Dalai Lama of Tibet )
    *

It is very good to recite the mantra OM MANI PADME HUM, but while
you are doing it, you should be thinking on its meaning, for the
meaning of the six syllables is great and vast. The first, OM, is
composed of three pure letters, A, U, and M. These symbolize the
practitioner's impure body, speech, and mind; they also symbolize the
pure exalted body, speech and mind of a Buddha.

Can impure body, speech and mind be transformed into pure body,
speech and mind, or are they entirely separate? All Buddhas are cases
of being who were like ourselves and then in dependence on the path
became enlightened; Buddhism does not assert that there is anyone who
from the beginning is free from faults and possesses all good
qualities. The development of pure body, speech, and mind comes from
gradually leaving the impure states and their being transformed into
    the pure.

    How is this done?
The path is indicated by the next four syllables.
MANI, meaning jewel, symbolizes the factor of method- the altruistic
intention to become enlightened, compassion, and love. Just as a
jewel is capable of removing poverty, so the altruistic mind of
enlightenment is capable of removing the poverty, or difficulties, of
cyclic existence and of solitary peace. Similarly, just as a jewel
fulfills the wishes of sentient beings, so the altruistic intention to
become enlightened fulfills the wishes of sentient beings.

The two syllables, PADME, meaning lotus, symbolize wisdom. Just as
a lotus grows forth from mud but is not sullied by the faults of mud,
so wisdom is capable of putting you in a situation of non-
contradiction where as there would be contradiction if you did not
have wisdom. There is wisdom realizing impermanence, wisdom realizing
that persons are empty of self-sufficient or substantial existence,
wisdom that realizes the emptiness of duality (that is to say, of
difference of entity between subject and object), and wisdom that
realizes the emptiness of inherent existence. Though there are may
different types of wisdom, the main of all these is the wisdom
    realizing emptiness.

Purity must be achieved by an indivisible unity of method and
wisdom, symbolized by the final syllable, HUM, which indicates
indivisibility. According to the sutra system, this indivisibility of
method and wisdom refers to one consciousness in which there is a full
form of both wisdom affected by method and method affected by wisdom.
In the mantra, or tantra vehicle, it refers to one conciousness in
which there is the full form of both wisdom and method as one
undifferentiable entity. In terms of the seed syllables of the five
conqueror Buddhas, HUM is the is the seed syllable of Akshobhya- the
immovable, the unfluctuating, that which cannot be disturbed by
    anything.

Thus the six syllables, OM MANI PADME HUM, mean that in dependence
on the practice which is in indivisible union of method and wisdom,
you can transform your impure body, speech and mind into the pure
body, speech, and mind of a Buddha. It is said that you should not
seek for Buddhahood outside of yourself; the substances for the
achievement of Buddhahood are within. As Maitreya says in his SUBLIME
CONTINUUM OF GREAT VEHICLE (UTTARA TANTRA) all beings naturally have
the Buddha nature in their own continuum. We have within us the seed
of purity, the essence of a One Gone Thus (TATHAGATAGARBHA), that is
to be transformed and full developed into Buddhahood.

Kalmuck Mongolian Buddhist Center, New Jersey.Transcribed by Ngawang Tashi (Tsawa), Drepung Loseling, MUNGOD, INDIA )

"The spirit down here in man and the spirit up
there in the sun, in reality are only one spirit,
and there is no other one."

    -- The Upanishads

We regard our lives as made up of an infinite
number of separate bits and pieces. That is how our
    senses perceive our universe.

But science has now affirmed what the sages
always knew. The life force is the foundation of all,
unseen and untouched though it may be. It flows
through everyone and everything. It is impossible
to exist separate and apart from the source of
    all creation.

    http://images.easyart.com/i/prints/rw/lg/1/5/Salvador-Dali-Montre-Molle-au-Moment-150203.jpg

This moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be. The moment -- the one you're experiencing right now-- is the culmination of all the moments you have experienced in the past. This moment is as it is because the entire universe is as it is.

  • Five magic words

There are days that are strange. Days when nothing sensible gets done. Today is one of those days. I am in what I call " Zombie mode " .Not exactly unpleasant .. but sort of nebulous and abstract. I drift along and pick things up along the way. Here's something I found that looks interesting. :) May even be an anti- dote ;)

Many events will transpire in which your conditioned response is to feel bad. Be
aware of these outer incidents, and say the five magic words: I want to feel
    good.
In that precise moment, ask yourself if feeling bad is going to make the situation any better. You'll discover that the only thing that feeling bad accomplishes in response to outer situations is to plummet you into anxiety,
despair, depression, and of course, stress.

Instead, ask yourself in that moment what thought you can have that will make you feel good. When you discover that it's responding with kindness and love to the bad feeling ( which is quite different from wallowing in it), you'll begin experiencing a shift in your emotional state. Now you're in vibrational harmony with your Source, since the power of intention knows only peace, kindness, and love.

This newly activated thought, which allows you to feel good, may only last a few
moments, and you might go back to your previous way of processing unpleasant
events. Also treat that old way of processing with respect, love, and
understanding, but remember that it's your ego-self trying to protect you from
    its perception of danger.

    Wayne Dyer

  • Disturbing dream last night

Part of my dream last night was painful and worrying
In this dream I am a young Roman soldier
I am told that I have to go and fight in a war.
    Do you like fighting ?
Are you a good fighter ? asks the commander
    No, I reply , I don't I hate fighting , there's nothing I like less
Oh well, then you can be cannon fodder , he asserts , plainly and matter of fact.
    Yikes , thinketh I
the thought of dying doesn't worry me but the pain of being stabbed by a sword or having an arm or leg chopped off .. ouch .. too nasty
And yet .. in the dream this fate seems inevitable
Already I am thinking up evasive techniques
    Maye a run for it
    Escape
Take my chances on the run .. anything is better than being cannon fodder and fighting for something you have no desire to be fighting for.

The feeling of fear and resentment being used this way is something I would not wish on anyone.

In waking awareness it brings to mind so many powerless child soldiers and other people who are drawn into fights against their will.
    Shocking
    Appalling.

    Sweet
    Fascinating
Ilearned the TM meditation technique in 1973
have used it on and off
The first experiences were very powerful
    Still remember the images
helped me through a rough time
when A and I broke up
    that was traumatic
felt I had noone to talk to
Think it was the closest I'd come to nervous breakdown
existing as if in a fog
    not in touch with things
    living life second hand
    like watching a film
    disidentified not taking part.

    and meditation
    initiation into TM
Meditation twice a day brings results
I've been sloppy about this lately
My mind is so full of thoughts
    Clearing of mind clutter necessary
    like spring clean of computer
    give it a rest
give the busy mind chatter a rest
    breathe
    I am watching less TV
    listening less to music
    feeling peace and harmony
at the same time overwhelm of thoughts
and things I'd like to do
    lists in my mind
    that remain lists
    numbess and paralysis sets in.
Tricky getting the balance right between BEING and DOING
    Action and non action
Wonder what my Tarot card for the day is ?
Might even start writing " morning pages "

Around 2001 James Twyman , trubadour and emissary of peace had the brilliant idea of collecting One million prayers for peace and set up a website www.prayersofpeace. com, POP as it became known to those of us who went there regularly to contribute and clock up numbers of prayers. These posts on " POP " were our heartsongs , poems, expressions of peace and love .We went their daily, Several of us connected and enjoyed email contact. Then POP died . We missed POP terribly so I set up a group on yahoo where few of us still meet.

In 2003 12 of met IRL in New York. The decision to meet was taken the previous year amd became reality in March 2003 just before the war with Iraq broke out. It was a tense and scary time, I remember. My son and his girlfriend were concerned that I was flying to New York at this time. What if the airports are closed and you can't come back ? Bless them both.

I received an email from James Twyman this morning about Common passion, http://www.commonpassion.org/welcome.html - " portal to a world of social harmony"

    Check it out.

Peace in the world is a passion I share with many, a common passion.I stringly believe that our prayers and meditations help and unite us and the world wide web connects us visibly. Check it out .

  • The Body

"Many people, therefore, unconsciously long to escape the confinement of their bodies, and this longing can manifest itself as physical discomfort.... "

    Yep , that's me !"

These lines from a "daily om " article really struck a chord in me . Twaaaang !

Despite giving birth , becoming a mother at the age of 26 , I don't think I fully incarnated until I was 41.

That was also when my " metamorphosis " began and eczema started to cover my body , starting on my face.

To cut a long story short and with hindsight, the years that followed were a most valuable learning experience . It was a period of intitation into a whole range of alternative therapies.

My life took on another direction in 1998 when I embarked upon a 4 year training in Psychosynthesis . The training included an amazing experiential weekend seminar on " THE BODY" lead by Dr Massimo Roselli. It was then that I truly started to appreciate and love my body and not think of it as baggage that I had to drag around with me !

    :)

My skin is now as smooth as baby's bottom with one or two fine wrinkles ;) and my body a lush voluptious marshmallow that is the domicile of my soul. http://aeiou.iicm.tugraz.at/aeiou.encyclop.data.image.v/v136200a.jpg

SalaKonsum , the cast iron big frying pan  came first , I bought him for 15 kronor I remember when I first came to Sweden. I don't think he's had any contact with meat  He has served me well. We are inseperable. Things don't stick to him now.

Little Brighton was a present from my parents when they came to visit me in Brighton while I was working there one summer and staying at Holland House , student halls of residence.Brighton is actually French , Le Creuset :)

Finally there's Couldron. She's a lady and a recent acquistion. Every witch needs a couldron. She loves spices and stews , that one crazy about chick peas too.

  • It's all a dirty business

" good morning " I answer the phone chirpily and brightly because I never know who it is on the other end or what time it is. I don't want everyone to know that I am rarely awake before 9 or 10 am which is unusual in a country where most people are up at the carck of dawn. Mind you , that is the generation above mine - it is changing. I have explained to my clients that I do not start work before 13:00. And they accept it . Suits me. But I digress....

Today's morning phone call was a yummy one. Velvety voice that makes my inside of my thighs heat up with a glow that spreads and is the best kind of awakening.

Still naked , I've cleaned the kitchen and tidyied the living room. Get this dirty business done before hitting the shower is my reasoning :) lol

Today I turned the cleaning and tidying into a mindful meditation AND actually enjoyed it. I was filled with love and emotion as I saw my three dearest cast iron pans o perched there on the stove .. bless them XXX

Answered an email from Europhone .. an ongoing battle over a bill for 53 SEK ( 5 Euros ) a call they claim I made on Christmas Eve 2006 through them . It arroved a week ago and I'm questioning it cos it seems suspicious. I don't use that company. The only thing I can think of is that it is the result of crazy tele marketing . I recognise the number.. it is ONE call .... and Í don't understand HOW it could be mae through them.

LIstening to JOnathan Goldman's healing chakra sounds now for peace of mind and rest before stepping into the shower for a further auric cleanse :)

  • Relationships as a Spiritual Path

    Relationships as a Spiritual Path

" Some may think the best way to connect with your Spirit self is by being alone, escaping from society, or moving anywhere you can singularly experience the Divine without distraction. While it is true that you can enhance your Spirit connection through solitude, the simple act of being in intimate partnership will do so as well, perhaps with even more profound and powerful results. The great wise ones who have gone before us, from Jesus to Buddha, did not isolate themselves to seek God. Though they spent important time in solitude, they returned to the world of human relationships to show us firsthand how to be the presence of Love to one another. They knew that when we are with other people, we can also encounter the Divine within ourselves, and the Divine One in every other person. They encouraged us, by their own examples, to BE LOVE.

What better way to connect with our Spirit self than by BEING LOVE to others. "

  • Affirmation for today ( I create my own reality )

    http://www.yogaverse.com/images/YOGAMANDALAfinalwbordvvsm.jpg

    I am light.
    I am spirit.
I am a wonderful, capable being.
And it is time for me to acknowledge that I create my own reality with my thoughts.
If I want to change my reality, then it is time for me to change my mind.
I do this by choosing to think and speak in new and positive ways.
I learned a long time ago that if I would change my thinking, I could change my life.
Changing my thinking is really dropping my limitations.
    As I do so,
I begin to be aware of the infinity of life all around me.
I begin to understand that I am already perfect, whole, and complete.
    Each day gets better!

I change my life when I change my thinking.

  • 2nd day of Glucosamine

Started taking Glucosamine on the advice of my Doc H. I'm taking 2 tablets a day, for the arthritis in my right knee which is there a result of a operation after a skiing accident many moons ago.

    Some info

Glucosamine (C6H13NO5) is an amino sugar that is an important precursor in the biochemical synthesis of glycosylated proteins and lipids. Glucosamine is commonly used as a treatment for osteoarthritis, although its acceptance as a medical therapy varies.

D-Glucosamine is made naturally in the form of glucosamine-6-phosphate, and is the biochemical precursor of all nitrogen-containing sugars

Oral glucosamine is commonly used for the treatment of osteoarthritis. Since glucosamine is a precursor for glycosaminoglycans, and glycosaminoglycans are a major component of joint cartilage, supplemental glucosamine may help to rebuild cartilage and treat arthritis. Its use as a therapy for osteoarthritis appears safe
So far so good. That's what my DocH says too. I was wary , because if you should not take it if you are allergic to shell fish. I've had reactions a few times, but not always. Could just be that I am over- sensitive.Kinesology test revealed that I can safely take two tablets a day. So that's what I intend to do. Treading carefully.

    Use
A typical dosage of glucosamine salt is 1,500 mg per day. ( my tablets are 625mg each )

In Europe, glucosamine is approved as a medical drug and is sold in the form of glucosamine sulfate.

    Safety
Clinical studies of glucosamine have consistently reported that glucosamine appears safe.

Since glucosamine is usually derived from shellfish, those allergic to shellfish or who have kosher concerns may wish to avoid it. However, since glucosamine is derived from the shells of these animals while the allergen is within the flesh of the animals, it is probably safe even for those with shellfish allergy.[10] Alternative sources using fungal fermentation of corn are available. Another concern has been that the extra glucosamine could contribute to diabetes by interfering with the normal regulation of the hexosamine biosynthesis pathway,[4] but several investigations have found no evidence that this occurs.

    So..I'm treading carefully :) haha
I was also told by doc that while regular exaercise is important , that I should not overdo it . I'm not to walk more than 15 minutes at a time . Walk 15 minutes and rest, then walk again etc etc to avoid inflamation. Suits me, sir !

  • Morning thoughts etc

10:13 am is early. I'm waking up slowly unpacking my thoughts reflecting on the snippets of dreams that are left

Today's NESTS ( Network of English Speaking Therapists in Stockholm ) meeting is cancelled. :(

    Dream:
    DLJ and others there
just sitting there , not saying much
I look round for a loo
    they are all occupied.
the caretaker on the ground floor helps me find one
I wake up because I need the loo IRL ( BOL)

This often happens. My dreams tell me when I need the loo

Sent an email to G&G in Greece.
There was a big article in the Metro about the Peloponese , Kalamata and Koroni. It's a beautiful part of Greece where the Greeks themselves go on holiday .Kalamata is of course famous for its olive oil and the plane spotting incident some years ago

    As human beings,
our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world

  • I'm taking this to bed with me tonight

This is something that I'm going to sleep on tonight. The subject of questioning beliefs and thoughts in order to lead a happier, more stress free life of well- being fascinates me. Ptaah is a channelled source of wisdom.
    Night night  love XXXX

Q2: You said recently that our power lies in the fact that we can choose how we will be with any circumstance in our lives and any of our creations. And in choosing how we will be, the words you used were, we set in motion the 'harmonics of further experiences'. Could you explain to me how that works?

P'taah: All right. You are a body of energy. You are a harmonic in the symphony of creation, we would say.

Q2: What does 'the harmonic' mean?

P'taah: A frequency. An energetic frequency.

    Q2: Okay

P'taah: And what you do is you draw to you that which harmonizes with that frequency so that when you live in fear or when you are locked into these ideas which are fear-inducing, then that radiates out into space, we would say, into the unified field, and it draws to you the people and the situations that harmonize with that frequency.

Q2: You mean it will enhance experiences that are in harmony with it?

P'taah: You'll draw to you that which matches the frequency. So if you are living locked into a box, a belief structure, which says, "I have been born to a poor family and I have been born into this caste system of working class and that is my place in life. Life is always a struggle. There is never enough money. It was the same for my parents and we just go along day-by-day. We have our fun. We do this and that, but the truth is that we will never really have anything much because that is simply the way it is. And if anything untoward would happen, then goodness knows what we would do because there is never anything extra."

And now all of this is an idea-construct and it is really fear inducing as well. It belongs in a box of consciousness and that box of consciousness has a harmonic so that what you would experience in your life is everything that fits in with that box of consciousness that says, "There is never really enough money and we are always in a precarious situation with money, with security, and it will never change because that is who we really are."

Q2: And the people coming into my life are people who believe the same thing or help me perpetuate the same thing?

P'taah: Absolutely. They will assist you to perpetuate.

    Q2: Okay, that's very clear.

Q1: And I think that everything we see out there just makes us more sure that that is exactly how life is.

P'taah: Everything you perceive is based on your beliefs. Where your perceptions, where your beliefs are based on abundance, based on peace and tranquility, based on joy, based on the eternal flow, based on the abundance of Goddess-God reflected in everything that you see, indeed that is what you are aware of.
Q2: It seems like the reality is that people who are living in a completely different harmonic to me and are putting out lack and fear and everything, are receding from me in my world. You know what I mean?

    P'taah: Correct.

Q2: And that's what is happening?

    P'taah: That is what occurs.

Q2: And is that what we really mean when we talk about moving into fifth density and all that.

    P'taah: Exactly so, beloved.

    Q2: Okay, I understand.

P'taah: As you move into a different harmonics, into a different frequency, into a different space of consciousness, then that is all you perceive. You can regard other people's realities but it does not really have anything to do with yours.

Q1: Thank you, P'taah, you always have so much to give us and it's so amazing. Thank you.

P'taah: It's the same for us, really, my beloved ones. All right, sufficient to the time for this day. With greatest love to all, we issue forth,

    Namaste.

  • Rudraksha and OM

Rudraksha is a large evergreen broad-leaved tree which grows in the area from the Gangetic Plain to the foothills of great Himalaya and middle area of Nepal.
Rudraksha is also known as The Divine Bead .The Tears of Lord Siva that are Rudraksha, are the original Vedic Beads of Power worn by the Yogis of India and the Himalayas for thousands of years to maintain health and to gain self empowerment and fearless life on their path to Enlightenment and Liberation.

There are 54 beads and I use them like a rosary fro meditation , to repeat a special seed mantra that is repeated 108 times ( 2X54 )

The Holy Rudraksha Beads and they manifest for the good of all concerned to help relieve sin and suffering and pain world wide. Rudraksha Beads have been used for thousands of years as an aid to Self Empowerment and the Fearless Life

My rudraksha beads are blessed by Amma , Ammaritanandamayi - The Mother - know by everyone as Amma - the lady who hugs !

( REad more about Amma here: http://www.amma.org/ )

Amma is really the closest I have come to God personified. Amma is radiant. radiates peace and love. She works tirelessly. On the twp occasions that she was in Stockholm she was on stage for hours on end .. all day .. retiring for a few hours in the afternoon and then returning again to receive hug and bless the hundreds of people waiting patientlyin line for one of her hugs and blessings. She did not stop until everyone had been seen. Often around 3 am ,

Now , I'm not a Hindu or Buddhist , Jew, Christian or Sufi or any religion , but I do love bits and pieces from many sources.

The OM and my rudraksha serve me very well .
I am so blessed with these gifts.

  • A funny meeting

Walking towards me, a woman with red hair and purple jacket.
As she walks past our eyes meet and there is this moment of recognition.
She stops , turns around and asks
    - Are you in the " Livs Energi " Book club ? ( a new age book club )
    - No, I'm English and I prefer to read in English , but there some good books there.
She points to my " Om " pendant

    http://bp3.blogger.com/_oKQZLOi_sLQ/Rj9SIuNsOqI/AAAAAAAAAUQ/TyhWgvHsPl4/s320/DSC00003.JPG

    - I thought you'd go that from the book club
    - No, a good friend brought me that back from India as I couldn't go.

And so we start talking. She tells me how she is feeling a bit low today , lacking energy and needs a hug , so I give her a hug. She then goes on to tell me about the son she's lost and the mother she nursed until she died ..sighs...

    - I'm looking for my life's purpose.
    - That's a biggy , says I. Have you considered that you may be living your life purpose right now ? You are already doing it ?
_ but I want to know what it is, What am I supposed to do ?
_ Just go on doing what you like doing, says I . One step after the other .. all will be revealed. One thing leads to another and there you are .. before you know it you have arrived !

    She seems content with that.
_ I feel better now , She says.
_ thanks for the chat , I tell her .
_ Perhaps we'll meet again when our paths cross , she says
_ Maybe. I say. Enjoy your day. See you !

And we go on with our day , in opposite directions .

Who says people don't talk to each other in Sweden ? lol

  • The leaning lampost reminded me of Chesterfield

    http://www.derbyshireuk.net/chesterfield_church.jpg

When I was little , we always saw and marvelled at the Chesterfield Church spire which was in the distance on the left on our way to London .
    http://www.stevebulman.f9.co.uk/churches/images/derby/chesterfield.jpg

" Chesterfield in Derbyshire is synonymous with the crooked spire on top of the church of Our Lady and All Saints. It gives Chesterfield its identity. Built, along with much of the rest of the church in the 14th century, it was straight for several centuries before it began to twist, probably as a result of unseasoned timber being used for its construction. It now leans nearly 9ft to the south and is still moving.

The large church is a fine cruciform building consisting of an aisled nave of 6 bays, a central tower, transepts and a 2 bay chancel, flanked by a chapel dedicated to St Katherine to the north and by a Lady chapel to the south. There are a further 2 chapels, one to the Holy Cross, the other to St Peter. The many chapels are due to the numerous guilds which once existed in the town, the oldest of which, the guild of Our Lady and the Holy Cross, was founded in 1218. The lady chapel contains a series of alabaster tombs of the Filjambe family. A particularly fine one is that of Sir Godfrey Foljambe and his wife. "

The leaning lampost in Mrs F 's post reminded me of this .
    Next stop Pisa :)

  • Mrs F and the blue moon

When in doubt , google :)

    http://www.infoplease.com/spot/bluemoon1.html

Although the full moon occurring Thursday, May 31, 2007, will look like an ordinary full moon, it will actually be a bit extraordinary—a blue moon.

    What is a Blue Moon?
There are in fact two definitions for a blue moon. According to the more recent definition, a blue moon is the second full moon in a calendar month. For a blue moon to occur, the first of the full moons must appear at or near the beginning of the month so that the second will fall within the same month (the average span between two moons is 29.5 days). May 2007 will have two full moons: the first on May 2, the second on May 31—that second full moon is called the blue moon.

Note that the May 31 date applies to most of the Western Hemisphere, including the United States. In the Eastern Hemisphere, the full moon in question will occur on June 1. For that half of the world, the blue moon will be on June 30, 2007.

The Other Kind of Blue Moon
An older definition for the blue moon is recorded in early issues of the Maine Farmer's Almanac. According to this definition, the blue moon is the third full moon in a season that has four full moons. Why would one want to identify the third full moon in a season of four full moons? The answer is complex, and has to do with the Christian ecclesiastical calendar.

Some years have an extra full moon—thirteen instead of twelve. Since the identity of the moons was important in the ecclesiastical calendar (the Paschal Moon, for example, used to be crucial for determining the date of Easter), a year with a thirteenth moon skewed the calendar, since there were names for only twelve moons. By identifying the extra, thirteenth moon as a blue moon, the ecclesiastical calendar was able to stay on track.

For a fuller explanation see http://www.inconstantmoon.com/cyc_blue.htm. For more background information on the controversy over the two definitions of blue moon, see the Sky and Telescope article, "What's a Blue Moon?" In it they explain how the two different definitions of a blue moon came about—including their own role in introducing the second, modern definition.

A Star Rating for the Modern Blue Moon
Although Sky & Telescope calls the modern blue moon definitition "trendy" and a "mistake," the fact that there is an older, preexisting (and more complicated) definition does not necessarily make it the more interesting or meaningful definition. Charting the "third full moon in four full moons" in a season isn't everyone's idea of an fascinating enterprise. The modern, "trendy" definition, however, points to an intriguing astronomical phenomenon—every so often two moons can manage to position themselves in the same month. Given that full moons occur once every 29.5 days, this is quite an accomplishment!

How Often Does a Blue Moon Occur?
Over the next twenty years there will be a total of 17 blue moons, with an almost equal number of both types of blue moons occurring. No blue moon of any kind will occur in the years 2006, 2011, 2014, and 2017.

The more recent phenomenon, where the blue moon is considered to be the second full moon in a calendar month, last occurred on July 31, 2004. Two full moons in one month may occur in any month out of the year except for February, which is shorter than the lunar cycle.

The other, older blue moon event, which happens when there are four full moons in a season, last occured in August 2005. Since this type of blue moon is reckoned according to the seasons, it can only occur in February, May, August, or November, about a month before the equinox or the solstice.

    Twice in a Blue Moon
The rare phenomenon of two blue moons (using the more recent definitition) occurring in the same year happens approximately once every 19 years. 1999 was the last time a blue moon appeared twice, in January and March.

The months of the double blue moons are almost always January and March. That is because the short month that falls in between them, February, is a key ingredient in this once-every-nineteen-year phenomenon. For January and March to each have two full moons, it's necessary for February to have none at all. Since February is usually 28 days long, and the average span between full moons is 29.5 days, if a full moon occurs at the end of January, it's possible for the next full moon to skip February entirely and fall in the beginning of March.

    Once in a Blue Moon
"Blue moon" appears to have been a colloquial expression long before it developed its calendrical senses. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the first reference to a blue moon comes from a proverb recorded in 1528:

If they say the moon is blue,
We must believe that it is true.
Saying the moon was blue was equivalent to saying the moon was made of green (or cream) cheese; it indicated an obvious absurdity. In the 19th century, the phrase until a blue moon developed, meaning "never." The phrase, once in a blue moon today has come to mean "every now and then" or "rarely"—whether it gained that meaning through association with the lunar event remains uncertain.

    ( since I am in Sweden, I don't think I will be entitled to a blue moon :( - it's 1 June in my calender ! )

Met A-S at Dramaten and then walked to Blå Porten, beautiful garden restaurant attached to Lilljevalks Art Gallery. A beautiful oasis with simple food and just desserts.

Lunch , wine , yatta yatta and people watching
A_S was telling me about the story telling course she'd just been on and a fscinating man from Namibia who'd spent 38 years travelling around the world telling stories before returning home with just a small bag of belongings.

Took the tram back into town. Novel. The Gentleman in front of us seemed to appear from a bygone age.

Our seats could not have been better - stalls, smack bang in the middle !
The curtain rose to reveal two of the male singers half naked clad only in a towel. They then proceeded to undress .. one slip and we'd have see it all....singing all the while :) Mozart transported to present day. The two main characters later disguised as hippies ... brilliant .. and all were in good voice. The hours whizzed by and we emerged again at 11pm.

I'm back home now , sipping a glass of red wine and then off to bed ..Mozart singing in my soul -- beautiful harmony .. a real treat.

night Night all ..love and peace in all dimensions with thanks to Wolfgang Amadeus MOzart for his enchanting music XX

  • What to wear ?

I haven't been to the Opera for years.
We have good seats too, row 11, stalls.
Few people dress up to go to the opera these days.
Just as well, I won't have to get the tiara out of the bank vault lol
    it is also a pity.
I like seeing people all dolled up to the nines
    Tux
    Evening gowns
    Gloves

I've done that a few times- been to a white - tie event ; not just your black tie .. but really really formal

It's quite strange and definitely not part of my everyday lifestyle , but fun.
It's fun making the effort, hairdresser, nails , gown , proper undergarment, gloves , bag ..
There's such a lot to think about,
Gloves on or off and when ?
    Table etiquette.
    Polite conversation .
Out comes the Debrettes and you end up none the wiser.
    Still fun.
    A fantasy.
If cinderella can do it - everyone can - for the night at least.

Wear are my opera glasses ?
    will binoculars do ?¨

  • morning reading : resistance ( Niel Donald Walsch)

"Conversations with God said that what you resist persists. Often
    this is misunderstood
to mean that we should accept everything that
occurs or appears in our life without any attempt or determination
to change it. Yet that is not what it means.

It is perfectly okay, in spiritual terms, to seek to change any
circumstance, situation, or condition that arises in your life with
which you do not agree. Here is the key point around all of this:
Change is not resistance. To seek to alter a circumstance,
situation, or condition is not to resist it, but simply to re-shape
it into a form which is more pleasing to our eye.

Change is an act of creation. Resistance stops creation. That is the difference.

Once this is understood, we see how it is possible for great people
such as Martin Luther King Jr. or Mahatma Gandhi or Mother Teresa to have done the work in the world that they have done. Closely
exploring these people's lives makes it clear that they never
condemned anyone or anything. Judgment was not part of their
    vocabulary.
Bitterness was not part of their experience. And the use of force was utterly outside of their cosmology. That is, they could not imagine it as a useful energy of change.

All the spiritual teachers across time have encouraged us to "resist not evil." This does not mean that we should never seek to create new conditions in our lives or in the lives of others. This means, simply, that we are most effective in bringing about change when we use creative energy rather than condemning energy. Resistance to anything actually places it there more firmly in our experience. You
cannot "resist" something that is not there. Therefore in the act of
    resisting something places it there.

Jesus said, "Judge not, and neither condemn." He did not
say, "Change not, and neither alter." Change is good. Indeed,
Conversations with God tells us that change is the nature of life.
It goes further to tell us that the words "life" and "God" are
interchangeable. If, then, change is the nature of life, then change
is the nature of God. Indeed, the text of CwG tells us this
directly. It says, "God is change."

God, the material tells us, is a process. That process is Life
Itself. And the life is change in process. It is the movement of
atoms and molecules, the vibration of energy, the constant shifting
of The Essence to create in physical form what has been conceived at
    the level of pure creation.

Resistance is the act of trying to stop something. Change is the act of seeking to modify it. There is an enormous difference.

Therefore, when confronted with any outward experience that is not
welcome in your reality, do not push back from it but rather, move
into it. Embrace it in its totality. Love it in its perfection. Then
simply use the process of creation to re-shape it into a form which
more perfectly represents Who You Are and Who You Choose to Be.

This may take time. One should not expect instant results. Instant
results are possible, but one should not expect them. Rather, be
satisfied with the process that is taking place, allowing yourself
to move with the energy as the energy moves with you, re-creating
itself and re-creating you in one motion. Have patience. Have
understanding. Have awareness. Come from a place of Total
Consciousness about what is occurring and your life will be an
experience of peace and quiet joy -- one might call it deep inner
serenity -- during all the moments of your time on earth.

This is a great promise of God. This is a great reward to those who
are Attentive. Therefore, pay attention. Notice the moment. Peer
deeply into each occurrence. Do not be confused by the illusion. And resist not evil, for "nothing is evil, lest thinking make it so."Seek gently to simply change any condition or circumstance that may
seem "real" in your life which does not speak to you of Who You Are.

This Is the Great Secret of All Masters."

  • Saturday morning / noon ramblings

    I slept well :)
Yesterday was a long day in front of the computer
Writing , thinking , philosophising and being daft
    All good.

    Dreams last night :

Granddad.( IRL he died when I was 14 ) He's there , present , loving and wise. We were staying at hotel and he kisses me goodnight as he goes to his room.

Micke - my neighbour from when I lived in Lidingö gets on the little train together with his girlfriend. The time is the present. They sit a few seats down and are very lovey dovey. I get a sense of this being the last train back in the evening. after a while I catch his eye and say hello. He comes over to me and asks me questions because he has a hard time remembering me ( IRL we used to be good friends and lost touch. He's quite famous now and I see him in films and on T.V. )

When I get off while waiting for a bus a woman gives me health advice: Use your legs more .. move .. walk at least 30 minutes a day. ( !!! all good advice IRL )

Finally a bit about computers. ( still in dream world )
I ask for a memory stick for my computer but I'm not sure if it is modern enough. Man checks the back of the computer for the USB thingy and there is a door that I've never noticed before - a secret compattment . He opens it and there inside are a few gnomes and other figures including one of those mechanical dancing cindarella dolls that wind up and waltz over the floor. Its still in its box too )

    That's it
Inside the amazing maze of mira maze !

    Will have breakfast now
    toodles
    X :)

  • Logging off now .

    I'm logging off now .

Yes ! I am going to the opera tomorrow to see Cosi Fan Tutti :)
    MT has got tickets.

Did you know that King Gustaf III was assassinated at a masked ball in March 1792? His murder caused repercussions throughout the civilized world and the event was operatically immortalised in Gustaf III or Le bal masque by Francois Auber and above all by Giuseppe Verdi in his A Masked Ball.

  • One of my weaknesses

    :)

Oracles in all shapes and sizes.

  • Daft mood over :(

I'm back down to earth with a bump again
I just forwarded a joke that I thought was funny
    only to receive this reply:

"Oh, no! Mexicans as targets again! I hope they weren't in the process of walking across the desert into the USA....and into an ambush of border guards. Bless all people who walk through deserts, swim across oceans, and struggle to find a better life for themselves and their families. We are all One...they are US."

Now I feel silly and insensitive.
    :(
    Seriousness has taken over.

Must everything be taken so seriously ?

  • Why Peace Begins With You

Seven spiritual practices for bringing peace into your life and the world around you. By Deepak Chopra

    Reprinted from Chopra.com.

The approach of personal transformation is the idea of the future for ending war. It depends on the only advantage that people of peace have over warmakers: sheer numbers. If enough people in the world transformed themselves into peacemakers, war could end. The leading idea here is critical mass. It took a critical mass of human beings to embrace electricity and fossil fuels, to teach evolution and adopt every major religion. When the time is right and enough people participate, critical mass can change the world. Can it end war?

There is precedent to believe that it might. The ancient Indian ideal of Ahimsa, or non-violence, gave Gandhi his guiding principle of reverence for life. In every spiritual tradition it is believed that peace must exist in one's heart before it can exist in the outer world. Personal transformation deserves a chance.

In every spiritual tradition it is believed that peace must exist in one's heart before it can exist in the outer world. Personal transformation deserves a chance.
When a person is established in non-violence, those in his vicinity cease to feel hostility.
    - Patanjali, ancient Indian sage

    Seven Practices for Peace
The program for peacemakers asks you to follow a specific practice every day, each one centered on the theme of peace.

    Sunday: Being for Peace
    Monday: Thinking for Peace
    Tuesday: Feeling for Peace
    Wednesday: Speaking for Peace
    Thursday: Acting for Peace
    Friday: Creating for Peace
    Saturday: Sharing for Peace

Our hope is that you will create peace on every level of your life. Each practice takes only a few minutes. You can be as private or outspoken as you wish. But those around you will know that you are for peace, not just through good intentions but by the way you conduct your life on a daily basis.

    Sunday: Being for Peace

Today, take 5 minutes to meditate for peace. Sit quietly with your eyes closed. Put your attention on your heart and inwardly repeat these four words: Peace, Harmony, Laughter, Love. Allow these words to radiate from your heart's stillness out into your body. As you end your meditation, say to yourself, "Today I will relinquish all resentments and grievances." Bring into your mind anyone against whom you have a grievance and let it go. Send that person your forgiveness.

    Monday: Thinking for Peace

Thinking has power when it is backed by intention. Today, introduce the intention of peace in your thoughts. Take a few moments of silence, then repeat this ancient prayer:

Let me be loved, let me be happy, let me be peaceful.
Let my friends be happy, loved, and peaceful.
Let my perceived enemies be happy, loved, and peaceful.
Let all beings be happy, loved, and peaceful.
Let the whole world experience these things.

Any time during the day if you are overshadowed by fear or anger, repeat these intentions. Use this prayer to get back on center.
    Tuesday: Feeling for Peace

This is the day to experience the emotions of peace. The emotions of peace are compassion, understanding, and love.
Compassion is the feeling of shared suffering. When you feel someone else's suffering, there is the birth of understanding.

Understanding is the knowledge that suffering is shared by everyone. When you understand that you aren't alone in your suffering, there is the birth of love.

When there is love there is the opportunity for peace.

As your practice, observe a stranger some time during your day. Silently say to yourself, "This person is just like me. Like me, this person has experienced joy and sorrow, despair and hope, fear and love. Like me, this person has people in his or her life who deeply care and love them. Like me, this person's life is impermanent and will one day end. This person's peace is as important as my peace. I want peace, harmony, laughter, and love in their life and the life of all beings."

    Wednesday: Speaking for Peace

Today, the purpose of speaking is to create happiness in the listener. Have this intention: Today every word I utter will be chosen consciously. I will refrain from complaints, condemnation, and criticism.

Your practice is to do at least one of the following:

Tell someone how much you appreciate them.
Express genuine gratitude to those who have helped and loved you.
Offer healing or nurturing words to someone who needs them.
Show respect to someone whose respect you value.
If you find that you are reacting negatively to anyone, in a way that isn't peaceful, refrain from speaking and keep silent. Wait to speak until you feel centered and calm, and then speak with respect.

    Thursday: Acting for Peace
Today is the day to help someone in need: A child, a sick person, an older or frail person. Help can take many forms. Tell yourself, "Today I will bring a smile to a stranger's face. If someone acts in a hurtful way to me or someone else, I will respond with a gesture of loving kindness. I will send an anonymous gift to someone, however small. I will offer help without asking for gratitude or recognition."

    Friday: Creating for Peace

Today, come up with at least one creative idea to resolve a conflict, either in your personal life or your family circle or among friends. If you can, try and create an idea that applies to your community, the nation, or the whole world. You may change an old habit that isn't working, look at someone a new way, offer words you never offered before, or think of an activity that brings people together in good feeling and laughter.

Second, invite a family member or friend to come up with one creative idea of this kind on their own. Creativity feels best when you are the one thinking up the new idea or approach. Make it known that you accept and enjoy creativity. Be loose and easy. Let the ideas flow and try out anything that has appeal. The purpose here is to bond, because only when you bond with others can there be mutual trust. When you trust, there is no need for hidden hostility and suspicion, which are the two great enemies of peace.

    Saturday: Sharing for Peace

Today, share your practice of peacemaking with two people. Give them this information and invite them to begin the daily practice. As more of us participate in this sharing, our practice will expand into a critical mass. Today joyfully celebrate your own peace consciousness with at least one other peace-conscious person. Connect either trough e-mail or phone.

Share your experience of growing peace.
Share your gratitude that someone else is as serious about peace as you are.
Share your ideas for helping the world move closer to critical mass.
Do whatever you can, in small or large ways, to assist anyone who wants to become a peacemaker.

The Best Reason to Become a Peacemaker
Now you know the program. If you transform yourself into a peacemaker, you won't become an activist marching in the streets. You will not be "anti" anything. No money is required. All you are asked to do is to go within and dedicate yourself to peace.

    It just might work.

Even if you don't immediately see a decline in violence around the world, you will know in your heart that you have dedicated your own life to peace.

But the single best reason to become a peacemaker is that every other approach has failed.

We don't know what number the critical mass is--the best we can hope is to bring about change by personal transformation. Isn't it worth a few moments of your day to end 30 wars around the world and perhaps every future war that is certain to break out?

Right now there are 21.3 million soldiers serving in armies around the world. Can't we recruit a peace brigade ten times larger?

A hundred times larger? The effort begins now, with you.

  • Mosre about cosy titties

    CosÍ Funny Titties Act I
In eighteenth-century Nipples , the elderly cynic Don Alponso discusses women with two young officers, Fern and Bill

The gallants insist their sweet-hearts are paragons of virtue, singing " La mia Dorbell ") and accept Alponso's bet that he can prove the ladies fickle if they do as he says for twenty-four hours.

( now that should prove interesting )

The sisters Fiordiligi and Doorbell revel in their love for Bill and Fern, respectively, showing pictures they carry in their lockets ("Oh guard, sorry . ")
yadda yadda yadda .. alot of confusion and more confusion ....

A double wedding is arranged between the sisters and the "Albanians."

Alponso brings in the notary - desperate Despina in another disguise. Just as the ladies have signed the marriage contract, familiar martial strains outside herald the return of the former lovers' regiment. In panic the sisters push their intended husbands from the room and go more or less to pieces when the men reappear without their "Albanian" mufti. Fern and Bill storm at the ladies when the marriage contract is discovered. But Alponso explains the deception, reasoning that true happiness lies not in romantic illusions but in accepting things as they are. Agreeing a trick can work both ways, the lovers reconcile.

ahhh .. it ends happily too :)

  • Sometimes trips just happen

    Things just happen
    They unfold ,sort of
    with love and ease.

My trip to Dublin was like that
    And to Paris
    And to Antwerp.

    It's a kind of magic.

The very first time I heard R'svoice was in Greece.
I was away in Greece for 2½ months and must have given him number.
A phone call out of the blue , NIce :)
A most welcome phone call as I was out there on my own feeling a bit lonely in the dark shop next to a noisy cafe and bumpa bumpa music all the time so that you could hardly hear yourself think.

    Then time passed.

One Sunday we were chatting on msn and a week later R.was here.
    Ryan Air again ?

    R. had been to Stockholm before and phoned to say he was nearly at my station and would I come to meet him.
    Nosooner said than done.
Five minutes later , cos that is all it takes to get the station from my house , I was hugging my guest at the tube station for the very first time.

It's the unfolding that is so marvellous.
As you flow with the river.
LIke a lotus flower flowing downstream
    Rachmaninov.
    Meditations
    Walks
    Food
    Wine
    Snogs
Missing the Systembolaget .. it closes as 3 pm on Saturday for the weekend.
    Sharings
    Cooking in the kitchen
    Shopping
    Discovering places

R.has this amazing way of being in the now.
    Everything simply IS
    Nothing is complicated.
    Things simply are.
You do whatyou like and abstain from the rest.
    No judgement.

With R. things unfold easily and naturally and passionately.
    Sizzle ,zing and ping !
Like going to a Revolution bar and experiencing an ice cold caramel vodka shot or two.
Rides on a double decker bus sitting on top.
    or the Lord Mayor's chambers
Panneled walls and coats of arms.
    The Emperor in China Town

Ahh . I am heading for la la land .. will stop now

Jim Carrey knows how to make things happen.
    Jim Carrey captivates.
The charisma, the power, the focus .....This is a clip of him on the Jay Leno show wherehe totally takes over !! I marvel at how he does this. This is no ordinary human being. He must be an alien .

Enjoy.. while I am still prefecting my U-Tube posting .. I'm not sure where I'm supposed to " embed " ..etc etc

  • People coming to stay

I live on my own and I like it that way , most of the time.
I enjoy my own company and can go through long periods of being a hermit.
Occasionally I travel and live intensively
Sometimes people come to stay and join me in my creative chaos.

I love having people to stay
A lot depends on who it is.
I've been very fortunate with my houseguests , I must say .

When Cyril ( U.K ) and Izah ( Singapore ) were here , We met up with A-S in town and then all came back here for dinner. A-S stayed over so there were bodies all over the place. Next morning TS came for brunch and the party continued into the evening. We had great fun,Cyril and Izah were the first of my internet friends.

We were joking before they arrived. How will we recognise eachother ? What if I take a couple of refugees home with me by mistake .

    No ,everything worked out fine.

The only challening visit was from a friend of mine and his family. I knew AK very well , but had only met his wife and children once before and received a bit of a cool reception from his wife . Anyway , they were visiting Sweden , travelling around. I told AK straight.I am not good with families ( 3 WILD KIDS , btw ) They understood and chose camping sites. We met up in town and had a nice day together and then they went off to Gotland.

On the way back, I invited them to breakfast. They would be arriving aroun 5am south of Stockholm and woould be at my place around 8, after which they had several hours to kill before their flight.

Well . I got up too at the crack of dawn baked bread and cooked a real fry up breafast ( minus meat ) but otherwise put all sorts of goodies on the table.

Family arrives.Mum and Dad looked like death warmed up.Tired and at the end of their teather, Children wild. Two teenagers squabbling and little wild man , about 4 or 5 yrs old, hyper hyper.

During breakfast peace and quiet and then the rumpus began. Little wild man disappeared with his sister and was quiet for a moment too. Silence for too long - not a good sign. Suddenly little wild man returned stark naked painted over face and body with permanent markers doing wild dance over the furniture.

Mum and dad look on in disbelief ! Drained.
Then mira steps in , grabs little naked man , holds him squirming and writhing , looks him straight in the eye and says seriously
" Now look here .. this is Big Mamma talking."
I don't remember what big Mama said , but it seemed to work.
Little wild man was stunned and released his grip of my breast ( I had finger print bruises to show lol )

Peace reigned for a while .
Then we went to the park
    then they went home.
I still have the little wild man's tuquoise briefs that had somehow got left behind.

So. my dear friends, adults are fine ,
Little wild people are less fine.. but we have ways and means of coping ! hehe :)

  • On Unconditional Love ( rambling thoughts )

    Unconditional love
    Love with no strings attached
That is my aim in life
To love and to be loved

This brings back memories from school
    " he fancies you "
You were not supposed EVER to let on that you liked someone.
    WHY ?
    It was simply so
    We didn't question it.

I think we grow up being afraid of string emotions.
    I say " we " .. I certainly did.
Expressing strong emotions is not always PC

Sometimes I feel that when I express my emotions and gush .. the other person cannot hold it.

    BUT ...I LOVE my emotions.
    All of them.
    I love self - expression
I love it when people self - express too

Sometimes the love or feelings sent out bounce back
    Boing boing boing .....

So what does that teach me ?
    Don't do it again?
    Control yourself woman ?
Or Do it more .. do it more ... !

I don't want to be pushy.
And I don't want anyone to do things for me that they don't feel like Doing things out of duty or obligation is not on,
It's all about daring to learn , experiment and find a balance.

I know that declarations of love are hard to take sometimes,
I think it is because we are not used to it.
    It is strange
I also think it has something to do with being worthy
Feeling and knowing that you are worthy/not worthy of this affection.

During my Psychosynthesis training I got to experience holding and unconditional love .. oneness .. being ONE with the group

It was during a group session
I remember being invited to be in the centre
in the centre with my "neediness "
I was actually given a symbolic " begging bowl "
I was told to ask clearly for my needs.

    What do you want ?
Who do you want this from ?
    Ask !

    Powerful stuff.

The seesion went on for what seemed like forever
but it must have been 1½ hours or so

there were several stages , I'm not going to go into the details, they are a bit blurry but , after each stage I was ready to go back to my place and to say " thank you .. I'm done "

BUT no the facilitator whould not hear of it.

More .. more... do it more ....

the session ended with my lying weightless in the air supported by the whole group.

Many myself included, were in tears
    Bursting
    Overflowing
My " cup" was running over.
    Saturation point reached.
A sponge that could not absorb any more love
    A fabulous experience.
    Transformational.
    A gift.
Thank you Universe for this and all your blessings.
Thank you for the ability to RECEIVE the gifts and unconditional love of the Universe.

    Blessed be.:D:wave:

I love you my friends .. you know who you are ! ;)

  • It is Wednesday today

It is WEDNESDAY today .. all day .. and I thought it was still Tuesday
    Free days often confuse me
Concept of Time is something that we have invented
Flowers and trees don't grow by the clock
They don't wake up with the alarm clock
Be like The lilies in the field ... good idea.

Dream: I visit a church or Cathedral , entering via a door which is at the front. I'm together with the vicar . A woman. She feels familiar and seems to be a composite of a few friends. We are wearing these gowns or capes , like graduation gowns , dusky pink .

We find our pew and sit down. There's a baby - a grown up baby - like the characters in Ally Mcbeal. He is completely naked and dancing around. He hops into our pew. Lifting him is like lifting a lead weight. He's restless and won't sit still.

On the way out there is a shelf with , gold coins, pounds or euros ..coins that I've left there for some reason. The thought occurs to me that people might think this is the collection for the church and may have added some coins .. but I soon dismiss that thought .. thinking .. if they are that silly , they can blame themselves. I'll put the money to good use. It's about 7-8 euros or pounds.

I've been reading carlos Castaneda's " The Art of Dreaming ". Maybe that's why I had this dream. It's a difficult book to get into to . I start it ,read a bit , forget where I am and read a bit .. then read a bit from the end .. in fact read bits that seem interesting until my attention span goes and I fall asleep .

Tax forms need to be handed in today so I am off into town to do that at Tax headquarters - it's somewhat of a tradition every year. Right .. that's it for now ... better get a move on :) TTFN

  • I'm making hummus

The chick peas have soaked and now they are simmering away.
The secret to good hummus , I found , is to use real chick peas and then add the garlic while they are cooking. A milder , friendlier taste.

I'll let them cool in their liquid and then add lemon juice, olive oil and yoghurt tomorrow .. all in the mixer.

    Sometimes my body craves hummus.
It's good for you.. and yummy too :)

MB is coming over for dinner tomorrow :)

  • Challenge your thinking

“How much of your world is made up of unexamined stories? You never know until you inquire.”
    -- Byron Katie

I didn't think I could get into size 14 jeans
I bought size 16 - and they were fine
Last week , I dared to try on size 14
I am wearing them now AND they feel loose.

    *happy face *

It's worth trying and challenging beliefs .

( having said this it does not mean I can squeeze myself into ALL size 14's !!! )

  • A great big pussycat

http://bp0.blogger.com/_7dR18FjMPQ4/Rjc8gH6zNNI/AAAAAAAAAAc/IM15PnL2qxI/s320/liger1.jpgOn a typical day he will devour
200 lb of meat, usually beef or
chicken, and is capable of eating
100 lb at a single setting. Hercules is just three years old and already
    weighs half a ton.
http://bp3.blogger.com/_7dR18FjMPQ4/Rjc8r36zNPI/AAAAAAAAAAs/4GT2c8oKolM/s320/liger5.jpgHe is the unintentional result of
two enormous big cats living close
together at the Institute of Greatly
    Endangered and Rare Species, in
    Miami, Florida, and already dwarfs
    both his parents.

    "Ligers are not something
    we planned on having," said
    institute owner Dr Bhagavan Antle.
"We have lions and tigers living
    together in large enclosures and
at first we had no idea how well
one of the lion boys was getting
along with a tiger girl, then lo
and behold we had a liger."

    These two cats don't normally
    have the opportunity to breed
in the wild, as most lions live
in Africa and most tigers in Asia .
50mph runner... Not only that, but
he likes to swim, a feat unheard of
    among water-fearing lions. In the
wild it is virtually impossible for lions
and tigers to mate Not only are they
enemies likely to kill one another.
But incredible though he is, Hercules
is not unique. Ligers have been bred
    in captivity, deliberately and
    accidentally, since shortly
    before World War II

    http://bp0.blogger.com/_7dR18FjMPQ4/Rjc8mH6zNOI/AAAAAAAAAAk/9UlBalXe8pE/s320/liger4.jpg

Today there are believed to be a
handful of ligers around the world
and a similar number of tigons,
the product of a tiger father and
    lion mother. Tigons are smaller
than ligers and take on more
    physical characteristics of the
    tiger.

  • A Suspended Blue Ocean

    http://www.panhala.net/Archive/Norte%20de%20Tenerife%20-1.jpgA Suspended Blue Ocean

    The sky
    Is a suspended blue ocean.
    The stars are the fish
    That swim.

The planets are the white whales
I sometimes hitch a ride on,

And the sun and all light
    Have forever fused themselves

    Into my heart and upon
    My skin.

    There is only one rule
    On this Wild Playground,

For every sign Hafiz has ever seen
    Reads the same.

    They all say,

"Have fun, my dear; my dear, have fun,
    In the Beloved's Divine
    Game,

    O, in the Beloved's
    Wonderful Game."

    ~ Hafiz ~

as long as you're down on your knees "

  • May day , May Day and The First of May

Why is SOS or emergency also may day , may day ?
I was woken up an hour ago by the May Day parade
bumpa dumpa , drums and band playing
    people marching
    red flags flying
May Day is also Labour Day
THe procession through town gets smaller each year.
The march through town and then gather in the square
where local polititians and peple make speeches
    THeir predecessors fought for rights
Fought for their working conditions and daily bread
What remains now is a shadow
    of bygone days.
    A traditi0n
    Attachment to what was ?

May Day , the first day of May
is a tradition that is not celebrated too much
Washing your face in the dew
    Dancing round the Maypole
May day procession through the streets
with a May Queen .. was there a King as well ?
We did this once , when I was in infants school
A girl called Wendy was the May Queen
    She was beautiful
    Long dark hair
We learned to dance around the Maypole
    ribbons weaving under and over
plaiting the pole and then unplaiting it again
I remember being amazed at how it all worked
We also decorated our prams and bikes and vehicles with flowers and crepe paper.

    Two very different celebrations
    May Day, Beltane, Wesak
My May Day this year is from a place of detachment
    Observation
    disidentification
    I am questioning
    I am reflecting
    I am malleable
The pagan in me is strong
but I am not doing very much about it
    I am be ing
    The DOING will come
