logging off now

by miramaze @ Thursday, 24. May, 2007 - 22:45:12

It's going to be an early night, cloudy ... can't see the moon . Think rain is on the way.

Affirmation :
My good now overtakes me in a surprising way.
All things I seek are now seeking me .
And so it is .

Nightnight

Love what you do or do something else

by miramaze @ Thursday, 24. May, 2007 - 15:56:55

" When your vocation becomes your vacation, you'll never work another day in your life.

No one can succeed in any endeavor that they don't like.

If you don't love what you're doing, then don't do it.

Your chances of success are directly proportional to the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do.

Do something that you have a deep personal
interest in.

Do something you'd enjoy spending twelve to fifteen hours a day working at, and the rest of the time thinking about.

Don't set compensation as your goal.
Find work you like and the compensation will
follow.

Work is not your punishment. It's your reward, your strength and your pleasure.

Real success is achieved when you like what you do.

Work is love made visible."

Sounds good in theory - I believe this could work in practice. I've actually managed it . What I need now is to come out of survival and into abundance :)

deliberately choose the path of lesser resistance ( Abe )

by miramaze @ Thursday, 24. May, 2007 - 15:53:01

"As you more deliberately choose the path of lesser resistance, as you
do it in the easy times, it's easier to do in the hard times.

As you do it in the easy times, the hard times come fewer and fewer.

As you begin to deliberately choose, what begins to happen is, you
begin to offer a vibration, and law of attraction only gives you
those things that match your vibration.

So that then it is only when you walk into those ambushes, like
family reunions, or those things that where you're not going there
because your bliss is calling you.

In other words, if you would follow your bliss, you would run into
very little resistance.

But when you follow something other than your bliss...

... when you follow your commitment.. .

... or when you follow your promise that you made in a drunken stupor;

... when you follow anything other than the guidance that is coming
forth within you in the moment, you may find yourself in a moment
where there is resistance.

And now, you will know exactly what to do about it; because there is
no reason ever, no matter how great it may seem, that you can not
choose a path of less resistance, and in doing so, your connection to
who you are will return, and your problem, your issue, will
dissipate. It will be replaced by the wellbeing, by the allowing of
the wellbeing, that is natural to you.

If you heard that, you know everything that you'll ever need to know
about anything.

There is nothing more to ever know, because everybody
gets to choose differently, so there's no point in trying to sort out
what's right or wrong. There's no point in trying to figure out who's
truth is the truest."

Create space

by miramaze @ Thursday, 24. May, 2007 - 14:40:55

"All this talk and turmoil and noise and movement
and desire is outside of the veil; within the
veil is silence and calm and rest."

-- Bayazid al-Bistami

We need to create space if we desire to change
and grow. Only in emptiness can meaning, intuitive
guidance and truth arise.

Give yourself space by spending time in nature,
taking an hour or day off, enjoying quiet moments
for reflection. Take time to smell the roses.
Breathe in the wonder of life and its bounty. Open
so your deeper awareness and imagination can
percolate through mundane thoughts and activities. Let
go of both resistance and force to allow yourself
to connect more deeply to life.

"I do only want to advise you to keep growing
quietly and seriously throughout your whole
development; you cannot disturb it more rudely than by
looking outward and expecting from outside replies
to questions that only your inmost feeling in
your most hushed hour can perhaps answer."

-- Rainer Maria Rilke

"I am glad that so much movement happens in this
stillness."

Squatter becomes millionaire landowner

This caught my eye just now .. FANTASTIC .. bless this ex- homeless person and his benefactor :)

Squatter becomes millionaire landowner after lengthy legal battle
AFP - 2 hours 8 minutes agoLONDON (AFP) - A homeless pensioner who has slept rough in one of London's most treasured beauty spots since 1986 was celebrating Thursday after the Land Registry granted him the deeds to his million-pound plot of land.

Harry Hallowes, 71, secured ownership to a 800 square-metre plot in Hampstead Heath, after a two-year legal battle with developers who tried to evict the pensioner from the grounds of Athalone House.

Dwyer Asset Management had tried unsuccessfully to evict Hallowes from his makeshift shack since March 2005 as it sought to redevelop the former nursing home into luxury flats.

The fiesty pensioner dug his heels in and consulted lawyers who provided evidence which showed that he had been living unchallenged on the plot for 21 years, and this became the basis for his claim to the land.

"Someone mentioned a million and someone else said two million, but I'm not impressed with figures. I just wanted a place to live," a very composed Hallowes said after hearing the news.

Hallowes, who counts Monty Python star Terry Gilliam among his friends, laughed that he might now build himself a bigger residence.

"Maybe I'll build myself a house -- everyone else around here seems to love building houses," he said.

Anger management

by miramaze @ Thursday, 24. May, 2007 - 13:41:35

Before I go any further today, I simply have to write about my repressed anger. It's there , I know it. It rarely shows itself because my censor is so damn good.

Anger appears in my dreams and I am sure repressed anger has something to do with my bladder infection and being " pissed off " Ha ! ( oh I have to laugh .. see this is what I probably do ..laughter as a defence ?)

In my dream this morning , cos I woke up around 7 and then went back to sleep , I dreamt I was so angry that I was beside myself- literally. It was like one of those demon scenes in " Charmed " I think I was about to zap someone into oblivion with my powers. Who ? wHat ? This was not clear in the dream. What I am aware of is that I am in this rage / power , well part of me is and the other part hears the gentle soothing wispers of kind people reassuring me that everything is fine and that part of me feels really calm , together and peaceful. There was also a tiger in the room that was lying next to a woman. We were considering getting rid of the tiger but then realised it might really be her bewitched brother, so eliminating the tiger would not be a good idea.

Now the symbol of TIGER is interesting as I am a tiger according to cHINESE zodiac and my spirit animal is also a big cat- a puma.

As I am writing this, I realise how split it sounds. We Geminis are the original schizophrenics apart from maybe Pisces and Libra ? Libra would be the sane ones who are all balanced , though having said that , I had a really nutty client who was also Libra. Hmmmm

Back to the anger part. See how I avoid it ? Deflection .
I think I'll make a list of things that make me angry. That seems like a useful thing to do. I am going to get to the bottom of this .. by hook or by crook ..arrrrrrghhhhhhh ;)

The Cardinal

by miramaze @ Thursday, 24. May, 2007 - 00:24:48

Now I know what The Cardinal looks like :)
He IS a handsom chap

Cardinal or red bird North American songbird of the Finch family. The Eastern Cardinal male is bright scarlet with black a throat and face; the female is brown with patches of red.

Both sexes have crests and read bills. The Arizona, Krait tailed, Louisiana, and San Lucas Cardinals frequents the South United States and Mexico. The pyrrhuloxia of the Southwest United States, is called gray Cardinal or parrotbill .

He looks a bit cold here

http://www.animaltrial.com/Resources/cardinalbirdc.jpeg

The Cardinals or Cardinalidae are a family of passerine birds found in North and South America.

These are robust, seed-eating birds, with strong bills. They are typically associated with open woodland. The sexes usually have distinctive appearances; the family is named for the red plumage (like that of a Catholic cardinal's vestments) of males of the type species, the Northern Cardinal.

The “buntings” in this family are sometimes generically known as “tropical buntings” (though not all live in the tropics) or “North American buntings” (though there are other buntings in North America) to distinguish them from the true buntings. Likewise the grosbeaks in this family are sometimes called “cardinal-grosbeaks” to distinguish them from other grosbeaks. The name “cardinal-grosbeak” can also apply to this family as a whole.

Cardinals mate in early spring. Their nests are loosely woven in tall bushes such as honeysuckle and rose. Their diet includes seeds and small berries.
