Nurse Lotta

by miramaze @ Saturday, 16. Jun, 2007 - 20:30:16

Nurse Lotta had a lovely tan. Swedish summer last week and then Tanzania in April. She told me she had been to Tanzania on a study trip and that it had been a real eye opener for her.

" They are working with precious little. Not much equipment around there. YOu have to look at the patient and use your skill and judgement there is not the luxury of tests.....The labour ward was incredible . The women there were popping out their babies having stiches without anaesthetic and going home straight afterwards."

We are so very very fortunate. I thought. Hearing things like this makes me ever more intent on using my own life for the highest good. To make a differnce. We can each do that, in our own way.

It's not about feeling guilty or ashamed. For me it's about being grateful for what I have and loving what IS.

Sleepy now and off to dreamland

O love, O pure deep love, be here, be now.
Be all; worlds dissolve into your stainless endless radiance,
Frail living leaves burn with you brighter than cold stars;
Make me your servant, your breath, your core.

Lunch at the Diplomat

by miramaze @ Saturday, 16. Jun, 2007 - 00:01:10

Today was a good day, a sunny day!

Hans invited me to lunch at the Diplomat which was posh but friendly. He's a regular there and we got a lovely seat by the window.

Food was yummy . We both had fresh grilled tuna on a bed of rocket , spelt grains , feta cheese , watermelon and asparagus. It sounds weird , but it was YUMMY beyond belief.

Hans always makes me laugh and sometimes cry with this kindness and generosity of spirit. A fantastic friend , I am so grateful.2½ hours whizzed by. We said goodbye and promised to stay in touch.Bless him in all his dimensions.
