Red sky at night shepherds delight
The sun is setting and I've seen the cresent moon. It's still light enough to read.Tomorrow, 21st is the soulstice - thje longest day of the year. From then on days start getting shorter, don't they ?

Midsummer- Officially is on Friday. I have been invited to Anna-stina's party - in the yard if weather is fine and indoors if it's not. It usually rains. At least there won't be any dancing around the midsummer pole. I hate that . Adults as well as children hop around and sing the " small frogs " song with all the actions and noises. lol .. It's Swedish tradition .. they were doing this long before the birdy dance or the macarena ! Silly very silly.

Sill ( pickled herring ) and schnapps - are musts too.

No ,I'm not into the Swedish Midsummer thing which often turns out to be a cathartic event. People getting very very drunk airing their dirty laundry in public and then feeling guilty and ashamed the next day. All these pent up unexpressed emotions. A bit like family christmases at our house .

I like shakespeares Midsummer NIght's dream .. fairies , Puck, Oberon and all.... a romantic comedy portraying the adventures of four young Athenian lovers and a group of amateur actors, their interactions with the Duke and Duchess of Athens, Theseus and Hippolyta, and with fairies who inhabit a moonlit forest.

I would like to see and be part of that at Midsummer ... feel the magic.

OBERON
Now, until the break of day,
Through this house each fairy stray.
To the best bride-bed will we,
Which by us shall blessed be;
And the issue there create
Ever shall be fortunate.
So shall all the couples three
Ever true in loving be;
And the blots of Nature's hand
Shall not in their issue stand;
Never mole, hare lip, nor scar,
Nor mark prodigious, such as are
Despised in nativity,
Shall upon their children be.
With this field-dew consecrate,
Every fairy take his gait;
And each several chamber bless,
Through this palace, with sweet peace;
And the owner of it blest
Ever shall in safety rest.
Trip away; make no stay;
Meet me all by break of day.

:wave: i bid ye sweet goodnight :)
