Thanks o Unclefrank and Amenthi for this

by miramaze @ Saturday, 23. Jun, 2007 - 22:50:11

Funny how I get lead to exactly what I need to hear

I asked God for Strength that I may achieve,
I was made weak, that I may learn to obey,
I asked for Health that I may do greater things,
I was given infirmities, that I might do better things,
I asked for Riches that I may be happy,
I was given poverty that I may be wise,
I asked for Power that I may have the praise of man,
I was given weakness that I may feel the need of God.
I asked for all things that I may enjoy life,
I was given life, that I might enjoy all things,
I got nothing I asked for, but everything I hoped for.
My unspoken prayers were answered.
I am among all men, most richly Blessed.

Take responsibility for your actions

by miramaze @ Saturday, 23. Jun, 2007 - 22:28:31

The mould for your success and fortune is in your hands.
You cannot do everything, but you can do something.

You choose your thoughts and actions.
Only you can find success.

Nobody can do it for you.
Nobody will do it for you.
You have to make it happen.

There is something you can do to change your situation.
The people that really succeed in the world are the people who look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them.

Your life will always be to a large extent what you make of it.

Sounds like tough love , but quite true :)

One gloomy misty damp Saturday

I wanted to show you just how gloomy and misty and cloudy and damo it is here to day. Unfortunately failed to capture the mists and the damp, but you do get to see my flowery balcony that is still a bit of a mess, It needs more soil , plants and herbs and a good old clean .. but haven't got round to doing that yet.

I don't know what these magenta flowers are , but I feed off the colour and the pretty little blue ones. They do like quite lush and wild in the dampness.

There's a marigold in bud in the other pots as well as a lettuce that is growing rampant begging to be cropped. It's one of those lettuces that you get in a pot that I cropped off and stuck in some soil and it grew and grew .. amazing value for money tee hee ;)

think I 'll gove myself a pedicure now :)

My Midsummer

Had a lovely time at Anna-Stina's yesterday. Delicious food and even a few glasses of rosé bubbly. Gravadlax , new potatoes, avocado with prawn filling , crusty bread , créme de paté des herbes ( veggie gourmet pate spread , tårta - ( torte ) strawberries and cream and 88% wickedly dark chocolate to nibble on.

Did a ritual ... invited the fairies, smudged with sage , released and burned things ( on slips of paper ) that we no longer need in a couldron in the middle of the living room table .. windows open to prevent fire alarms going off . Wicked !! Symbolic gestures. Very empowering.

Had a really profound and deep talk with A-S around 10:30 pm . Magic then was so intense. I swear I could " see" fairies flying around .. gossamer veils of matter flying oround behind Anna-Stina. Precious moments of being in the NOW.

Went home in a taxi just before midnight so as not to turn into pumpkin. Streets all deserted. Hardly anyone about. Stockholm is like a ghost town on Midsummers eve because most people tend to head for the islands in the archepelago or their summer cottages. It is only the non- conformists like myself that do the exact oppostite and love the peave and calm of it all .. the tranquility. I am sure the fairies and nature beings come into town to get away from all the fuss in the country ;)

Taxi driver was from Afghanistan and his Swedish was limited, spoke of wars in his country and got a little upset in the telling , but a perfect gentleman. opened door for me to get in and rushed round to open door for me to get out. He kept saying " Du är så snäll .. du är så snäll * ( you are so nice ) bless him ...midsummer madness !

The joys of clearing clutter

by miramaze @ Saturday, 23. Jun, 2007 - 11:46:01

I have so much of it- clutter that is. I've been a hoarder- " must hang on this this , it may come in handy " yet it very rarely does.

Now I am tired of all this old energy, Tired of anything that I don't need and that does not serve me. Each item I look at has memories. Some are old memories that I no longer need. Some serious cleaning and taking away to be done

Set the egg timer for 45 minutes and filled and sported into bags Lots of junk from the kitchen cupboards .Glass....plastic....paper. and bric a brac that someone might like. What a load of junk . I’ll be needing a lot of trips to the rubbish tip .

What I need now is someone with a car to help me take all this stuff to the tip for recycling.

Clearing of things in my outer world as well as clearing of negative thoughts in my inner world is important. Keeping myself in a positive frame of mind mentally helps me to manifest positive outcomes externally. Inner and outer worlds are connected.

Feels good to get rid of stuff.
