Subpersonalities and archetypes

by miramaze @ Friday, 06. Jul, 2007 - 23:13:48

Archetypes or subpersonalities are " The people inside us " .. the hero / heroine .. mother .. father .. daughter .. mystic .. rebel .. victim .. prostitute ....rescuer ..etc etc

Getting to know your subpersonalities can lead to a better understanding of who you essentially are.

Read more about this in Caroline Myss's book " Sacred Contracts "
She has an interesting web page .. lots of goodies here :

What Your Soul Really Looks Like
http://images.blogthings.com/insidetheroomofyoursoulquiz/room.jpg

You are a wanderer. You constantly long for a new adventure, challenge, or eve a completely different life.

You are a very grounded, responsible, and realistic person. People may not want to hear the truth from you, but they're going to get it.

You believe that people see you as larger than life and important. While this is true, they also think you're a bit full of yourself.

Your near future is a lot like the present, and as far as you're concerned, that's a very good thing.

For you, falling in love is all about the adventure and uncertainty. You can only fall in love with someone who keeps you guessing.

Lawyers !! ( from a friend in USA )

by miramaze @ Friday, 06. Jul, 2007 - 16:11:32

These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters, who had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.

ATTORNEY: Are you sexually active?

WITNESS: No, I just lie there.
_________________________________________________

ATTORNEY: What gear were you in at the moment of the
impact?

WITNESS: Gucci sweats and Reeboks.
__________________________________________________

ATTORNEY: This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your
memory at all?

WITNESS: Yes.

ATTORNEY: And in what ways does it affect your memory?

WITNESS: I forget.

ATTORNEY: You forget? Can you give us an example of
something you forgot?

WITNESS: You're joking right?
__________________________________________________

ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said
to you that morning?

WITNESS: He said, "Where am I, Cathy?"

ATTORNEY: And why did that upset you?

WITNESS: My name is Susan!
__________________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person
dies in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?

WITNESS: Did you actually pass the bar exam?
__________________________________________________

ATTORNEY: The youngest son, the twenty-year-old, how
old is he?

WITNESS: Uh, he's twenty-one.
___________________________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Were you present when your picture was
taken?

WITNESS: Are you kidding me?
__________________________________________________

ATTORNEY: So the date of conception (of the baby) was
August 8th?

WITNESS: Yes.

ATTORNEY: And what were you doing at that time?

WITNESS: Uh.... I was getting laid!
__________________________________________________

ATTORNEY: She had three children, right?

WITNESS: Yes.

ATTORNEY: How many were boys?

WITNESS: None.

ATTORNEY: Were there any girls?

WITNESS: Are you kidding me? Your Honor, I think I
need a different attorney. Can I get a new attorney?
________________________________________________

ATTORNEY: How was your first marriage terminated?

WITNESS: By death.

ATTORNEY: And by whose death was it terminated?

WITNESS: Now whose death do you suppose terminated it?
__________________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Can you describe the individual?

WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a beard.

ATTORNEY: Was this a male or a female?

WITNESS: Guess.
__________________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Is your appearance here this morning
pursuant to a deposition notice which I sent to your attorney?

WITNESS: No, this is how I dress when I go to work.
__________________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Doctor, how many of your autopsies have you
performed on dead people?

WITNESS: All my autopsies are performed on dead
people. Would you like to re-phrase that?
__________________________________________________

ATTORNEY: ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK? What
school did you go to?

WITNESS: Oral.
__________________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Do you recall the time that you examined the
body?

WITNESS: The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m.

ATTORNEY: And Mr. Denton was dead at the time?

WITNESS: No, he was sitting on the table wondering why
I was doing an autopsy on him!
__________________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Are you qualified to give a urine sample?

WITNESS: Huh....are you qualified to ask that question?
__________________________________________________

And the best for last

ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy,
did you check for a pulse?

WITNESS: No.

ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure?

WITNESS: No.

ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing?

WITNESS: No.

ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was
alive when you began the autopsy?

WITNESS: No.

ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor?

WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a
jar.

ATTORNEY: I see, but could the patient have still been
alive, nevertheless?

WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been
alive and practicing law.

On dreams and dreaming

by miramaze @ Friday, 06. Jul, 2007 - 14:55:12

I am a dreamer and I record my dreams dail. Sometimes I feel compelled to scribble down the dream as soon as I've dreamt it on a pad of paper that I keep beside my bed. Our dreams are a treasure trove, full of messages from our unconscious.THere is healing in the actual telling of the dream.Interpretation comes later.

When H. the shrink and I work on my dreams , he always says " well know .. what do you make of that? " It's an important question, because itis the DREAMER's perception that is important . Ask yourself What do I rememeber of the dream ? Where is the energy? How do I feel on waking ? I don't think it is wise to rush to a dream interpretation book before you have reflected on your own dream.

The Treasure Trove of Your Dreams.

Dreams nourish the soul as food nourishes the body and contain important messages from your soul.

" Humanity dreams the same dream at once, and you have your mass world. The whole construction is like an educational play in which you are the producers as well as the actors. There is a play within a play within a play. There is no end to the "within" of things. The dreamer dreams, and the dreamer within the dream dreams. But the dreams are not meaningless, and the actions within them are significant. The whole self is the observer and the participator in the roles. " - SETH

Noon

by miramaze @ Friday, 06. Jul, 2007 - 12:02:53

Had a really good night's sleep with a couple of dreams that have now faded. Can't have been too important.

Watered the plants on the balcony and more poppies have appeared. THey awaken joy in me when I look at time- red , wild , delicate yet strong and fancy free. Perfectly happy just to grow and dance in the breeze. No worries.

Stillness . Through my left ear I hear the hum of the computer, through my right ear very little . The children in the nursery below must be indoors having lunch or in an outing somewhere. Not even birds or traffic .. unusual stillness at noon.:)

Jill phoned to say that her mobile was kaput. I started to sympathise but she took it as a sign ... it was actually a good thing.. " I hate having to call people back straight away .. stresses me out " she said. We are meeting on Monday and going out to Lena's island and summer house for our GJLM meetíng.

Right.. must switch my mobile on ..............TTFN

Did you find joy ? Did you bring joy ?

by miramaze @ Friday, 06. Jul, 2007 - 11:52:46

I feel that these quotes from www.thedailyguru.com are so important . I didn't know that about the Egyptians, did you ?

"The future, higher evolution will belong to
those who live in joy, who share joy, and who spread
joy."

-- Torkom Saraydarian

Joy, as the energy of love, is the highest
vibration on this planet. Everything in the universe is
energy; it can be measured and reduced to
vibrational frequencies. It’s a universal law that as
we think and feel we vibrate, and as we vibrate we
attract. When we are in the high joy vibration,
we attract what is for our greater good.

The Ancient Egyptians saw Joy as a sacred
responsibility. They believed that upon their death, the
God Osiris would ask them two questions: "Did
you bring Joy?" and "Did you find Joy?"
Those who
answered ‘yes’ could continue their journey into
the afterlife.

For at least the next week or two, ask yourself
these two questions each and every day: Did I
bring joy? Did I find joy?

"Man loves because he is Love. He seeks Joy, for
he is Joy. He thirsts for God for he is composed
of God and he cannot exist without Him."

-- Sathya Sai Baba

( We love because we are Love. We seek Joy, for
we are  Joy. We thirst for God for we are composed
of God and we cannot exist without God.

Ah the difference between men and women..,,,

Louise Hay says : Make a habit of looking at yourself in the mirror and say " I love you " and " I love and approve of myself " which is another empowering mantra.

right .. that's it .. I've nothing more to say tonight .Into the shower I go and then on to dreamland ... bliss :)
