I learned today that there are several parts to the electricity bill.

One part of the bill is for the cost of the grid - no elctricity without a grid - so we have to pay for the grid.

The other part is for the actual electricity that we use and this is to be paid for in advance.

I recently changed my power supplier, So, in future I will be getting bills from the grid provider and bills from the supplier of electricity.

THe new company is called " Godel " = Good Electricity Their profits go to good causes and their operations are supposed to be eco friendly.

As long as it all works out well and doesn't cost too much.

Bought myself a big bag of crisps and a glass of Sancerre that was left in tghe bottle. Don't you just hate it when you have to finish wine off before it goes off ?? lol

The other day I did a post on Peter O Toole. I'd heard that he'd been bypassed for 8 Oscars and it got me thinking aboyut the injustice of it all.. about what we value and how wewe reward greatness and brilliance. Here in Sweden poeple for years have been encouraged to be ORDINARY or NORMAL, STANDARD --- not to stick out in any way. " jantelagen "- I'll try and get a translation and do on post on it soon.

Here in Sweden things are very standard. Ikea furniture comes in 60. 90. and 120 .. beds ..80...120, 140, 160 . Paper A4 . A5 etc.. buildings are restored and renovated by contractors that take on the whole project - and the result is very streamline and standardised , but practical and efficient at the expense of awkward , eccentric and different. Boring... dead .. may feed the body, but not the soul

I am becoming increasingly fed up with what is deemed to be politically correct , acceptable and appropriate !

That's my first and bottom line
