The church bells woke me up at 11 a.m, as * yawn and stretch *

It's "All Angels Day " today I think. St Micheal, or Michaelmas this weekend.

It was nearly 4 a.m. when my two young guests left, Susanna and Carl - the couple I met at Paulo's booksigning. Lovely people - so much to talk about and share- one of those evenings when times stands still.
Susanna doesn't drink but Carl and I shared a bottle of Italian red with our tortellini in creamy chantarelle mushroom sauce , rocket carrot and and pinenut salad , ginger and chocolate truffle cake for dessert.
Must have been around 9 pm Susanna admitted to feeling tired after a very long week ; and an hour or so later thought she was 'coming down with something ' and 'a little shivery' So she was wrapped up in a woollen blanket and placed on the sofa with a big cup of sage tea. An hour after that she had visible perked up , accepted more sage tea energy returning ten fold !!!
I felt like a teenager again remembering the all night parties we used to have. Nowadays my older guests leave around midnight. It was really fun to talk well into the night.
So .. Saturday continues to unfold .
Wonder what is going on in Blogland today ... must have a nosey around
