This is the first time that a cutting has sprouted roots !  I followed Mrs P's instructions and choose a non- flowering cutting. Didn't have any rooting powder so just stuck it in water. 

A few days agoI I found my lentil sprouts that I'd forgotten to water . They were in a sorry state , so I buried them in a nearby pot - as one does . THEY have started to sprout now . I wonder what will become of them ? There's not much light during the winter.You can see how they are stretching towards the light . Bless

Why is the Light Different in Paris? An interesting thought from www.lightworker.com. I've always thought that the light here in Stockholm has a certain quality that I've not seen anywhere else.

Now remember that an emotion is the body's reaction to your mind.

What message is the body receiving continuously from the ego, the
false, mind-made self? Danger, I am under threat. And what is the
emotion generated by this continuous message?

Fear, of course.

Fear seems to have many causes. Fear of loss, fear of failure, fear
of being hurt, and so on, but ultimately all fear is the ego's fear
of death, of annihilation. To the ego, death is always just around
the corner.

In this mind-identified state, fear of death affects every aspect of
your life.

For example, even such a seemingly trivial and "normal" thing as the
compulsive need to be right in an argument and make the other person
wrong - defending the mental position with which you have identified -
is due to the fear of death.

If you identify with a mental position, then if you are wrong, your
mind-based sense of self is seriously threatened with annihilation.
So you as the ego cannot afford to be wrong. To be wrong is to die.
Wars have been fought over this, and countless relationships have
broken down.

Once you have disidentified from your mind, whether you are right or
wrong makes no difference to your sense of self at all, so the
forcefully compulsive and deeply unconscious need to be right, which
is a form of violence, will no longer be there.

You can state clearly and firmly how you feel or what you think, but
there will be no aggressiveness or defensiveness about it. Your sense
of self is then derived from a deeper and truer place within
yourself, not from the mind.

Watch out for any kind of defensiveness within yourself.

What are you defending?

An illusory identity, an image in your mind, a fictitious entity. By
making this pattern conscious, by witnessing it, you disidentify from
it.

In the light of your consciousness, the uncon-scious pattern will
then quickly dissolve. This is the end of all arguments and power
games, which are so corrosive to relationships.

Power over others is weakness disguised as strength.

True power is within, and it is available to you now."

Had a chat with mum on the phone this evening and told her that I wouldn't be coming over for Christmas but will go over for her birthday, 2nd March and stay 10 days so we can have some quality time together without the fuss of Christmas.

My two sisters will be there anyway so that will be enough excitement. We are all quite strong personalities so our reunions tend to be cathartic .

She seemed to be well and in good spirits. She'd just finished watching her programmes.She'd grazed her leg while gardening and it is not healing very well. She 's been to the doctor's and the nurse had put a dressing on and will go again on Thursday. These wounds on legs can be nasty. I do hope they know what they are doing. Sensitive subject. She's had a course of antibiotics for it and they are hoping it will do its trick. I didn't want to say too much. I'll send her reiki tonight Please feel free to send her ( Lina ) reiki too, I'll call again next Thursday.

Also had a chat with Johanna who might be getting this cold that's doing it's rounds. I recommended my sage tea of course and the bitter grapefruit seed drops which worked a treat for me
