If only that were true
Until it is , I've decided , for one day only , to "act as if it is true ".
Yes. Today all day , as it is the day of giving thanks for our friends across the big pond , today I will be grateful for everything, even the little things that piss me off.

And .. it's started alread.
I tried 4 or 5 times to change my status and deal with " notifications " and " pokes " on Facebook without success.
Am I going to curse and swear ?
NO !
I am laughing .. I really am .. at the absurdity of letting little pissy things like that get to me

Today I intend to love and bless Blogland and Facebook for the good times and all the good things they provided so generously.

Yes, today , all day , no complaints whatsoever.

I've been in all day and people have been phoning me for information.
These are friends who are not computer literate.

One actually tricked me into doing a translation .
I hate translating and proof reading with a vengance.
Still , I do like a challenge and I like to find out answers to questions - ask me a question and I feel COMPELLED to answer - so I will rack my brains and google and whatever I have to do to find out and give a reasonable answer.

In other news friend rang to complain about dumped boyfriend who we think is a narcissist and borderline personality, if one is to use labels , which is not nice, but sometimes we do anyway. What can you do but listen ? Nathing Question is how much listening do you do before you unconsciously start to feed her obsessession ? I know she is really miserable ,tired , overworked, can't sleep, manic... it 's been like this for as long as I've known her. She and suffering are bedfellows. Fixing someone does not work . They have to want to fix themselves. Complaining all the time is no use. People have to be willing to change.

I shall make this affirmation my mantra too.

" I AM WILLING TO CHANGE "

Some of what I see in others obviously applies to me too.
