Got my paints and brushes out and did a bit of painting- one that I started in April .
So this is what it looks like now.
Used turpentine for some of the paints. Most of my oil paints are water soluble - don't ask me how - but there it is . Some I inherited from a friend who was going to live in Africa - and they are the ones that needed the turps. I've opened a window and keep it ajar tonight. The room needs airing.

In other news , noticed the Teddy Bear headlines and it really got my goat.

I woke up this morning to the noise of men and digger truck at work outside my window making quite a racket. I go into the bathroom to find no water in the taps.Of course I feel pissed off. It's inconvenient. There has been no warning either that our water would be cut off- water on tap that I so take for granted. There was a problem a few weeks ago, I suspect it has something to do with that.

Whatever.. my point is , I can either feel angry and frustrated OR I can accept what is and find a way to be happy despite this inconvenience.

My horoscope today says :

I suddenly realised that I , as the writer of my story , can make this true. I can empower myself by consciously choosing to keep a positive attitude regardless of what happens around me . Doing so I become a co- creator with the universe working WITH " what is " to attract more positive energy, which continues to enhance my mood. Great , innit ?
