Anna-Stina is a coming to dinner tomorrow for a belated birthday dinner. I'm making her favourites, borstch, pommes au gratin , potatisgratäng in Swedish or gratined potatoes in English. I never had this dish before I came here - its typically Swedish and very yummy dish dish layers of potatoes , onions , garlic , a little grated cheese and cream baked in a dish in the oven. A fresh rocket salad to go with that . There's gingernuts for later and also aubergine paté.
The borstch is always better made the day before. I feel quite sick because I taste as I go along.
