Good Saturday afternoon everyone ! Happy December.

I've been up since 10 am. It's dark grey and gloomy outside and it will soon be dark for real. There is not much difference between day and night here during the winter. Nevermind - only 21 days to go before it all turns and things start to look brighter again.

Spoke to the Prof this morning. He might be joining me 28th February when I fly to the U.K. for Mum's birthday , 2nd March. I won't be going over for Christmas- too much fuss and besides , fares are double too.

Hard to believe that 3 hours have whizzed by, reading and commenting on blogs and pottering around. I have to clean and tidy my home before Anna-Stina arrives. There's grocery shopping to be done and wine to be bought before the Systembolaget closes for the weekend.I'd better get a move on I suppose.

MenoMama will be on her way back to Canada soon. Bon Voyage Meno !! Not much news yet from the Liverpool meet , which is a good sign. Posts will come as hangovers clear, I expect.

Anna-Stina is a coming to dinner tomorrow for a belated birthday dinner. I'm making her favourites, borstch, pommes au gratin , potatisgratäng in Swedish or gratined potatoes in English. I never had this dish before I came here - its typically Swedish and very yummy dish dish layers of potatoes , onions , garlic , a little grated cheese and cream baked in a dish in the oven. A fresh rocket salad to go with that . There's gingernuts for later and also aubergine paté.

The borstch is always better made the day before. I feel quite sick because I taste as I go along. but, I'm all done now.

The Liverpool blog meet should be in full swing by now. Wooo hoooo to you all there I'm off to bed so I'll see you in the astral Night night Blogland !
