I'm about to venture out in to the darkness to go to the glögg party ... RESISTANCE big time. I don't feel like being jolly and it's right on the other side of town and I've only been there once before so I might even get lost .... oh dear ...

There are so many recipes for glögg.
Here in Sweden you can but it ready made and then you can lace it with a bit of extra vodka or brandy etc
Ingredients for 1 litre of glögg
1 bottle of red wine (75 cl )
1 cinammon stick
1 piece of ginger
1 bit of pomerans
5 cloves
2 tsp whole cardemon
400 g sugar lumps
3 dl water
1/2 flaska (35 cl) vodka
Heat the spices and sugar together carefully to melt the sugar.
Leave to infuse.
Add to wine and heat slowly and carefuly in a covered pan for 30 minutes.
Serve in small mugs with raising sand blanched almonds.
