New Year's Eve, half an hour to go ro 2008

It's unusually quiet at this moment.
Fireworks have been going off all evening " practice runs " for midnight. 
It's the lull before the storm
Marcia phoned from London and we had a nice long chat. A good friend married to a Swede , who moved back to London when their marriage ended.
Oh there go the fireworks again spoke to soon
I never venture out from the safety and cosiness of my " cave " for New Year's Eve.
Maarja and Lina are coming over tomorrow , said they would bring their hangovers.
I don't think I'll have one .. but that remains to be seen.
Let me know if I start talking nonsense
I'm going into the kitchen now for a snack
