Monday mumbles

Happy Paddy's Day everyone.:) I'm not sure what to make of the saint. I don't like the way he sent al those snakes packing . Poor things. I bet there were more rats after that, :))

Feeling zonked today . Sleepy . Arms and legs feel like lead. I think there's a deox going on in my body. The cold germs that I must have picked up on the plane are finally being given their marching orders. :)

Massage is a wonderful thing ; it gets all sorts of things going. It's a good , satisfying , curative feeling that I'm experiencing despite the zonked feeling . There are times I would love to be a liver cell or lung cell with access to the inside workings going on in the body.

Silly me "Ireland never had snakes " I just read " .Scholars now consider snakes a metaphor for the serpent of paganism. "

Well.. that's just as bad , innit ? Chasing out the Pagans *sighs*

Anyway ... any excuse to celebrate eh ?

The snakes represent the Druids of pre-christian Ireland.

St Paddy possibly was a druid who went over to the other side.

Yes , I googled and discovered that. I really don't like the way Christians bullied people. Must be because they themselves have been abused so then they become the abuser :(

And all this in the name of religion ? :( None of it makes sense to me any more.
I like the Star Wars take though ;)

Anyway I still maintain that every day is a good excuse for celebration .

It isn't St Patricks day. You're two days late. You cannot celebrate a saint's day during Holy Week, so Paddy was brought forward to last Saturday.

Sorry, but I do tend to get a bit pedantic about things that I shouldn't even care about...

ooops .. well thanks for pointing that out. I was convinced it was 17th . I forgot about Holy Week and not celebrating. Sorry .

but St Patrick's day is 17th and the festival is from 13- 17th " St. Patrick's Festival Parade will be on Monday 17th March "

Yep, the Irish stole their religion and then threw out the pagans; gotta love the 'Catlick church' eh.

NOT!!! The hypocrites!

Their whole 'bamboozled' religious rhetoric of 'high holidays' and liturgy is taken directly from ancient rituals and Astrology, the beliefs of the Pagans. :roll:

But I do love green, most of my clothing is coloured with its peaceful hue. Have a saintly day no matter what its colour our Mira...

Catholic Church , C of E , .. they're all the same when it comes to hypocracy . It is disgraceful.
