Indian

Belly full to bursting after a delightful Indian meal .:) Anna-Stina's treat. Pakoras to start with and then lamb sizzle ( ? ) piping hot in an iron dish for Anna Stina and Prawn curry for me. Nan bread and papodoms. Yummy. I'm so glad I can now parp to my heart's content without disturbing the peace.

At the end of the meal A-S asked if I wanted some Indian tea . I declined at first but she insisted . I can always drink tea- only it turned out to be CHAI .. the milky spicy drink that makes me feel quite sick just to look at :( Sorry. Call me ungrateful but I simply could not drink it just to be polite. I feel awful now :( but would have felt worse had I drunk it . It was an embarrassing end to a lovely meal. The Bollywood music channel on the flat screen nearby helped change the subject :)

Is drinking Chai with Milk a scandinavian/american thing. Because over here I have only ever had it without milk when it is really nice.

The milk seems like a strange addition to me and doesn't really work.

:)

Lamb sizzle sounds nice.

I don't know. I've never had chai in England. It might be a Scandinavian thing. Sorry :( For some reason I associate chai with monks .... Tibet and North India. Tibetans put butter in their tea, don' t they ?

Anna Stina said the lamb was really good , I saw other people ordering it too . A popular dish.
