I cought sight of this lovely old tree in the courtyard of the newly built houses. I like the way they built round it .
Instead of going for a walk around the lake , I went the other way , down to canal, a stretch of water that goes right into Stockholm. It's a nice walk in the summer that brings you out to Karlberg Castle and takes about an hour and a half , the way I walk. I usually stop half way , high up on a hill where there are a few seats and a fabulous view. There's a small path that takes you down to a small beach where you can bathe. Since I am nowhere near " mountain goat " abilities and dislike cold water , I usually sit at the top , eat my packed lunch , sunbathe and admire the view. Today was lovely - bright and sunny and quite warm. Unfortunately I couldn't turn left at the canal because the area was cordoned off as there was construction work going on, so I turned right to have a look at flats that were built quite recently overlooking the water, with their own marina. No boats yet as they are all in dry dock. Afterwards called in at the ICA supermarket to pick up some fish - pangasius - or something like that - it's a lovely white fish that I like very much and you can't get it everywhere.

Oh.. I'm not sure what to make of the description
It is marketed as " environmentally friendly " - I really like it's delicate taste and there are no bones , which must mean that it is a big fish.
I roll the thawed fillets in seasoned crispy rye flakes, fry gently until golden on both sides in some olive oil and I have that with mixed veggies , mix or oriental frozen and fresh , with a dressing of soya and sesame oil . YUM

Sounds very nice.
No bones = cartilagenous fish of the shark persuasion perhaps.

The pics are of where I live in Sundbyberg. I live near the water tower on the hill and these flats are near the canal across the railway line. Sundbyberg has a small town feel to it and is only 20 minutes away from the centre of Stockholm, so I have the best of both worlds
