  • Earth day today . This is the hour .

    A HOPI ELDER SPEAKS:
"You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this is THE HOUR. And there are things to be considered...

    Where are you living?
    What are you doing?
    What are your relationships?
    Are you in right relation?
    Where is your water?
    Know your garden.
It is time to speak your Truth.
    Create your community.
    Be good to each other.
And do not look outside yourself for the leader.

"This could be a good time! There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination.
The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water. And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally. Least of all, ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt. The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves! Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.

We are the ones we've been waiting for.

  • Pangea Day , 10 May . Film unites for better future

On 10 May the entire Pangea Day program will be streamed online at www.pangeaday.org.

If you have a broadband connection, you can watch for free. The live program will be subtitled in seven languages: Arabic, English, French, German, Hindi, Portuguese, and Spanish.
The 4-hour program begins at 18:00 GMT.( 19:00 in London )

The Pangea Day Mission & Purpose

Pangea Day is a global event bringing the world together through film.

Why? In a world where people are often divided by borders, difference, and conflict, it's easy to lose sight of what we all have in common. Pangea Day seeks to overcome that – to help people see themselves in others – through the power of film.
    The Pangea Day Event

Starting at 18:00 GMT on 10 May, 2008, locations in Cairo, Kigali, London, Los Angeles, Mumbai, and Rio de Janeiro will be linked for a live program of powerful films, live music, and visionary speakers. The entire program will be broadcast – in seven languages – to millions of people worldwide through the internet, television, and mobile phones.

The 24 short films to be featured have been selected from an international competition that generated more than 2,500 submissions from over one hundred countries. The films were chosen based on their ability to inspire, transform, and allow us see the world through another person's eyes. The winning films will be announced in late April.

The program will also include a number of exceptional speakers and musical performers. Queen Noor of Jordan, CNN's Christiane Amanpour, musician/activist Bob Geldof, and Iranian rock phenom Hypernova are among those taking part.

A film event that is about connecting people and building bridges ..I like it

    Peace in all dimensions

  • Still no email notifications from BCUK

Is it just me or is this a problem that affects all of us ?

    Otherwise a gorgeous sunny day.

Mr and Mrs Pidgeon are still monopolising the balcony  It would be nice to sit out there now.It needs a thorough clean too. The floor covering that looks like grass needs taking up and chucking out . It's absolutely disgusting :(

I say Mrs Pidge the other day , posing on the rail , in a trance like state , with a twig in her beak. She was like that for what seemed like forever , perfectly still with this twig in her beak when suddenly she drops it and sort of wokes up.:))
