  • Blessing from afar

The Prof brought me this figure from his travels around Asia: Thailand,Malaysia,Singapore and Borneo. He was away for two and a half months, on his own travelling around and making friends along the way. He posted this on to me . He'd been home for a few weeks when the parcel arrived. Unfortunately , the head had broken off , but it was fixed instantly with super glue :)

I'm not sure what it represents , but I like it very much.

  • The Pidges

They've started to cuddle up in the box that I set up for them. The weather has been very unpredictable lately , sunny one minute icy hail showers the next. They are looking more like pigeons every day. hardly any yellow down feathers left. I wonder when they will be ready to fly and how their parents will teach them or will they just do it by instinct.

    :)

  • Fish curry in yoghurt sauce

That's wot I'm making for the first time.
Started off following the recipe and roasting the spices for 30 seconds and then 10 seconds as instructed , but soon discovered that without certain ingredients that I'd never heard of before ,( Swedish names too LOL ) there was little point in sticking to the recipe so started to improvise - adding a bit of sweeet here and salt there.

It started off with marinating the fish fillets in lemon juice and salt ( I used hoki ..very Indian :)) I don't think ) and then rinsing them off.

Tastes good .:) The sauce looks yellow in the picture , but mine looks brown . Ah well .. it does taste good ... so I 'm off to enjoy :)

  • The Pidges

Heard the Pidges squealing , as is their wont during feeding time . They get all excited when mum and dad arrive. There is much fluttering of wings feathers flying. They were both huddled inside their box this morning. It has been chilly lately and I reckon they are feeling it.

It also rained and hailed just now  and turned into a cloudy day after a cheerful sunny start.

  • Dreaming frantically

The full moon Wesak energies knocked me out last night:yes: The moon was glorious, silver at first and then golden as it set around 3 am.

I dreamt frantically last night. It was a dream about searching , I think.

In the dream I visit my "Swedish parents "Ingrid and Willy , a couple who took me under their wing and included me in their family when I first came to Sweden. Ij the dream , Ingrid is dancing around happily and is looking young ,her hair still dark and curly. willy comes home with files and papers to do with work.I borrow an overhead transparency from his files and then return it to its place, but later it's not there any more. I look through all the papers , again and again trying desperately to find it , without success. It must be there somewhere - I just know it is- and I feel awful that it is missing.

At one point I realise this is a dream and think about changing it , but I can't since I have not learned to do that yet.

Also I have brought a friend with me ( B. from the 80s ) to their house and he is beginning to feel uncomfortable as we have simply popped by uninvited so he leaves and I have to find out about trains in order to get home.

Wesak meditation and dream messages are supposed to be important giving clues for our path in life. I wonder what I'll dream tonight
