Fish curry in yoghurt sauce

by miramaze @ Tuesday, 20. May, 2008 - 17:43:33

That's wot I'm making for the first time.
Started off following the recipe and roasting the spices for 30 seconds and then 10 seconds as instructed , but soon discovered that without certain ingredients that I'd never heard of before ,( Swedish names too LOL ) there was little point in sticking to the recipe so started to improvise - adding a bit of sweeet here and salt there.

It started off with marinating the fish fillets in lemon juice and salt ( I used hoki ..very Indian :)) I don't think ) and then rinsing them off.

Tastes good .:) The sauce looks yellow in the picture , but mine looks brown . Ah well .. it does taste good ... so I 'm off to enjoy :)

I would marinade fish in youghurt, cream of cocunut, lime, ginger, garlic red birds eye chili, star anise and fresh chopped coriander leaves, a twist of black pepper, a little salt and lemon grass but that is me. ;)
