Sometimes I wish my camera had more of magnifying zoom. Last night , I caught the moon rising. A big bright golden sphere - almost orange. I picked up my camera only to find the batteries dead
The recharger takes only 15 minutes, but 5 minutes later the moon was behind clouds. 15 minutes later it was partly visible again and higher up. By the time it was fully visible it looked smaller, higher up in the sky and a mere blob on my camera screen.
Imprinted in my mind , nevertheless
I've spent the morning researching Medicine Wheels, remembering our teacher mentioning their importance and connection to healing during the Psychosynthesis Psychopathology weekend.Life is cyclical , after all , and healing takes place within the circle. The circle is a powerful symbol.
" A Medicine Wheel is a physical manifestation of Spiritual energy. An outward expression of an internal dialogue. A mirror in which we can better SEE what is going on within us. It is a wheel of protection and enables us, and allows us, to gather surrounding energies into a focal point and to commune with Spirit, Self and Nature (ALL elemental forces)........Creation! "

My friend V, Curandera of the second degree , cast a medicine wheel for us in my home during her visit here four years ago. At that time the strongest position for me was the West which is attributed to water and the emotions
" Later adulthood the time of Fall, the time of the setting sun - twilight. The daylight fades and brings a new awareness in this time of gradual change. When the darkness comes we must look inward to find the light and have courage. To understand what we see in the darkness may not be real but only shadows.
This is the emotional part of ourselves, like the flowing water we must learn to go with the flow of life. The time of the West is when we learn that we are responsible to all things and to each other. It is the time to prepare, to finish things for the time of Winter is coming. We gather ourselves and family, working together to prepare for what is to come. As the place of emotions it is the place of family and love - of responsibility from our hearts because of the love. It is hard work and team efforts. Black symbolizes change from this life. "
Seems to fit well
Two weeks ago, during a medicine wheel experience , I experienced the directions as colours. West was red , north , blue , east , yellow while south was green which is not that same as the traditional colours. As with everything else in life , I trust my own experience as the right one for me so I see this as something I would like to explore more. The medicine wheel with its symbolism , rituals and relationship with the eco system is powerful energy medicine. Energy medicine is the healing medicine of the future. Vibration...frequency.....energy fields ... colours ..... auras..... will be interesting when science catches up with ancient wisdom and when the two will be integrated.
Exciting times we live in
