A bi-focal approach to arguments

by miramaze @ Thursday, 22. May, 2008 - 13:59:00

The best argument you can make is no argument at all.

Do not argue with life, or with anyone in life. Life

presents itself perfectly in every moment, and every

person believe his or her point of view to be valid

and 'right.'

Arguing with any of this is pointless, and a terrific

waste of energy. Simply create what you choose next.

--Neil Donald Walsch

My own take on this is that arguing with Life and " What IS " is pointless, whereas arguing with people can be cathartic and healing. It's one way of clearing the air of psychic pollution. Ventilating. Expressing. This is why we have bodies and emotions and we do not only exist in the mind. We are incarnated in form to feel and to experience in order to learn and grow in awareness and consciousness.

I do think some bi-focal vision is needed. On a transpersonal level I can see NDW's words are valid and true, but on the level of the personality , we do need to let off steam and bang our heads against a brick wall .....until we realise it is not necessary.

:)

I love a good argument.

Well I must do, judging by the amount of them I have.

Great post Mira. I am learning (as the days pass) that there is little to be gained by arguing and much to had by listening.

Yah, easy for Neil to say but WoW, ever try to reason let alone argue with ADHD???

Aaaah, but yes too; arguing seems ridiculously fruitless when yoga of action relates volumes of common sense.

Peace and healing light be with and from you always our Mira; your efforts certainly worked for C, L and me and I'm truly grateful for all. Bless!
