Passport forms arrived along with detailed instructions. It's an expensive do getting a new passport; 1520 SEK plus 70 SEK for postage and 199 SEK for 4 photos , though you only need two and must be taken within the last month. Grand total : 1,789 SEK ( 145 GBP or 184 Euros ) but I'll save 70 kronor by going there in person ... or will I ... it might have to be sent from the UK 
Passport photo was done in 5 minutes though 
So now all that remains is for me to fill in the form , have someone countersign the form and photo stating that this is indeed a true likeness of Ms Mira whom I have known for X years 
and then take it to the British Embassy on Djurgården I can do that 
I think we have just had our first day of real summer. The sun was hot and my arms got a bit of colour while having lunch with Lotta at a small restaurant overlooking the water on Strandvägen. There was a bit of drama too as the horse guards passed by. One of the horses threw its rider. *Gasp* as the other horses and riders started to become anxious and we could see that the riders had trouble controlling them. Fortunately the man wasn't hurt and was able to get back on his horse and the procession carried on its way.
