Had my first physiotherapy session today and the clinic is right across the road from where I live. How's that for convenient :)

Fredrik is nice and has done part of his training in Australia and part in the USA. Asked me a lot of questions and typed stuff into the computer, had me walking up and down the corridor, forwards, backwards and sideways; examined both my ankles, and gave me exercises to do x2 every day.

I have a sprained ankle and apparently do not walk on my feet as I should, heel , middle part of foot and ball of foot should all take the same amount of weight. Interesting what you learn. Fredrik also taught me how to bandage my ankle for maximum support. We are going to discuss footwear soon which should be interesting and , I fear , expensive :**: Still , I am so grateful for this help. Hopefully all this will make it less likely for me to sprain my ankle again. My right leg is weaker due to a skiing injury and surgery 30 years ago.

I've come to realise that our bodies are precious " costumes " and need TLC attention and appreciation on a daily basis and not simply taken for granted.
