Maarja and I met on Nybrokajen , walked along Strandvägen which is where we first spotted this old boat near the Vasa. Three restored boats were on show there. You could go on board the biggest one and interest was huge judging by the long queues .

Yes , it is indeed. I hope it lasts , though we could do with a good downpour . There are forest fires in the north

What splendiferous boats
Will have to have Sweden holiday...
Went once before, but was a bit spoiled by the fact that I was ill (Swedish meatballs gave me diabetes - must avoid at all costs )- will need to go back in more healthy frame of mind!
Though actually, had pretty good time before too...-

The best time to visit is May - September I think. The winters are dark and cold and people tend to tense up and hibernate .. I know I do
