My passport expires on 15 June , so today I went to the British Embassy to hand in my passport application forms.

At 3:30 pm , the place was deserted. I rang the bell, stated my business and was told that a security guard would come and let me in. It was an airport like experience. I was screened and then afore mentioned security guard politely asked if he could look inside my bag and then I was allowed to go in to the deserted waiting room.

I was served by a jolly Scotsman , who checked my form ,asked a few questions, and then debited my credit card SEK 1520. I save SEK 70 by going to pick the new passport up personally in about 10 days time. So, for the moment I am without passport.
