I said I might post pics. Unfortunately they are not WILDLY exciting, and I'm sorry to say there is not one of the Haga Bulle ( Cinnamon bun ) as I never made it to Haga Parken but ended up going food shopping and cooking dinner.

Was able to make salad from lettuce grown on my balcony :) and add a few rocket ( ruccola ) leaves which are still a bit tiny but add a spicy peppery taste.

Dinner ? garlic and chilly prawns with home made bread to dip in and mop up the sauce , creamy wild mushroom risotto and mixed salad. Icecream and strawberries for dessert by which time A-S and I were singing songs in English Swedish and Latvian . I despises singing and being sung at most of the time ,which just shows how tipsy I was.

After that out came Leonard Cohen 's " Like a bird on a wire , like a drunk in a midnight choir , I tried in my way to be free " By this point I was wishing there was more red wine , but sadly there was not . I walked A-S to the train , as we sometimes do in Miraland ;) returned home and slept soundly ...I've been feeling dozy all day :))

Enjoy the pics .... oh yes .. it rained too ....

Mira,

Let me know if you want some Italian recipes/tips. I have salad with rocket and coriander, lettuce and beetroot from my veggie patch too! Shame Mr Vroom does not help with the digging.... xxxx

Lucrezia , I'd love some Italian recipes. :) I have a bit of salmon for tomorrow , fish or veggie or pasta , all welcome . I don't eat meat.

Oooh that Mr Vroom is a bit of a woos , methinks ;)

OK, Mira, here goes. I don't eat meat either.

Salmon fillet. Two plates, one with good, I repeat, good extra-virgin olive oil, enough to cover the flat plate, and one, again flat, with a mixture of bread crumbs (I make my own with days' old bread, but you can buy it too) and parmesan cheese, grated. A pinch of salt in the oil OR in the crumbs/cheese.

Dip the salmon in the oil first, soak well, and then roll it in the crumbs. Pat the crumbs onto the slamon so they stick.

Now, put the fish in a frying pan WITH NOTHING in it, no oil or butter, nothing. The pan needs to be very hot so that it will sear the salmon without burning, because the fish has oil inside it already.

Turn it after three minutes or so and cook the other side.

Done!

Even healthier: put the oiled and 'crumbed' salmon in an oven tray and in the oven for twenty minutes. No need to turn or oil in the tray. it'll be crispy and delicious with greens and home-made bread.

More recipes when you ask. Give me the ingredients you have in your fridge and I shall provide the recipe.

OOOh that sounds fantastic :) I'll give that a whirl tomorrow and let you know how I get on. I have my own 2 day old homemade bread for the breadcrumbs. :) Thanks ever so much. Night night.

Coincidences... as he glances over at his glass of red.. Mr. Cohen... ! I can hear his voice in my head... he's a sensuous treat for me now and again... I notice he went to Glastonbury.. but I've not had chance to pick anything up on the BBC website... thanks for the prompt!

Mr Cohen in Glastonbury ? What a treat. Details please :) I'm wearing a silver pendant that comes from the Sacred well at Glastonbury given to me by two special dear friends.

Oh thanks for those links, collar :) He is an amazing 73 year old among the few men who seem to improve with age. I heard that his ex wife had embezzled his money and disappeared so now instead of enjoying his retirement he has to go back to work. If this is true ,we have her to thank for this tour. The mysterious ways of the Universe ?

Yes.. he's a worthy role model. Of course, I am completely biased.. I was introduced to him by an older girl down the street when I was 15/16... one of my first loves, who took me under her wing... You can almost hear me sigh, can't you... I adored her, she could probably have introduced me to the music of Attila the Hun... :)

Awwwww... and what an initiation that must have been ;) What if .. what if it had been Attila the Hun ... do you ever wonder ? :))

Well.. I would still have that beautiful memory from then... but I doubt if Attila would be playing Glastonbury ! :)

Update: There are two youtube versions of LC doing Hallelujah at Glasonbury... looks like they were filmed on phones..
I once played LC nonstop for days, you know, to try to be able to listen to him without thinking of her...the experiment failed... I guess I never dug out the whole arrow.

I'll check out you tube link , thanks.

Don't you know that everything you resist persists ? :))
You might like to repeat the experiment and ALLOW yourself to really feel ....love , cry, shout and " laugh about it all" ;)

Bless
