I wish sometimes that I was able to thread a pipe-cleaner ,or similar, through one ear and out the other to clean out the itch that is impossible to get at and drives you insane with the worst kind of itchy torture.grrrrrrrr
I don't know why it happens, but suspect it is to do with an allergy of some kind , possibly breathing in a bit of fluff or swallowing a fly while asleep ? Whatever...... a damn nuisance. I've taken antihistamines now, and the " attack" is over. Could this be what tylluanpenry would call a psychic attack ? 
4am to 5am ..whatever ....
