I wonder if it is Jupiter ?
According to the fantastic link that La_Spice sent ,( Stellarium ) that first star to appear in the sky as seem from my south facing balcony could be Jupiter, Pluto or Juno

I thought I saw a planet/star named after me but it was Spica! Close enough I suppose?
