It's too soon.
I'm not ready yet.
I want it to be summer.

Darker evenings, colder nights , 16C instead of 25C .
Plants and flowers have done theirs for this year , with the exception of the magenta geranium that is still going strong. Bless.
I dug up about a pound of potatoes 
all because I stuck a sprouting potato in a pot of soil this spring 
That felt good.

Like you , I hate to waste food , so I simply stuck the sprouting tatties in soil Easy peasy
