Woke up and read what Eckhart Tolle writes about Words. ( A New Earth )

I've always felt inadequate when it comes to describing what I see or have experienced in words. Wrapping experiences up in words does not come easy to me.

Now , I'm thinking , this can be a blessing.

Words can be labels which then hypnotise us into believing things are something other than what they are.

Simply being with a flower , or a stone and allowing it to communicate its ESSENCE is much more true.... much closer to the truth of what it is all about .

Labels pinch like tight shoes.

I much prefer being if you know what I mean. Words can be incredibly powerful and yet meaningless.

This is undeniably correct, but I see it slightly differently. Words are a translation from what is in our minds and like all translations this one is error-prone and cannot be accurate. But there are three translations, not just one:

Mind into words
Words to another person (either verbally or via text)
Those words into the other person's mind

The translation errors multiply like in a game of Chinese whispers. It's not surprising that it's often difficult to make ourselves understood as we intended.

Telepathy would remove all of these problems.

Words can be wonderful to write and create things. However, you are correct that they are often misunderstood. Look at all the great literature and how it is interpreted differently by each person who reads it. It is easy to be misunderstood.

  Yes, we need words, but as you say , each person interprets a word differently.
  
  When I say " flower " an image of a flower appears in my mind , but it won't be the same flower that you see.

If in truth simply being with a flower , or a stone etc allows it to communicate its ESSENCE, then i fear I may have been standing far to close to a large, rather solid potato dumpling for too long. For, as I gaze in the mirror, I can see it has imparted its essence wholly to me.
