  • Psssst .. here's one that Gustav did earlier

It is now hanging above my bed.
    Ahem ;)

    :)

    Confused ?
    See previous post :)

  • What artist should paint YOUR portrait ? ( pinched from NotBob

    Pinched from NotBob

Not satisfied with the artist they suggested, I decided to retake the test and HUZZAH !!! Got the artist I wanted :) :))

Who Should Paint You: Gustav Klimt

Sensual and gorgeous, you would inspire an enchanting portrait..

With just enough classic appeal to be hung in any museum!

    What about you ?

  • Beauty in the skies

  • Rearranged bedroom

I've rearranged my bedroom. Emptied a big cupboard and moved it into the corner, Room looks more spacious now. I've also vacuumed, mopped the floor and cleared a a big box full of postcards, letters and bits and pieces that I'd been saving hoarding ;)

Bread is fresh out of the oven , glass of wine poured, it's feet up time. Might watch a DVD ....*cheers* happy Friday.

  • Thank you BT

Mum's phone has FINALLY been connected.

    Thank you British Telecom !!!

83 year old mum has ONLY been without a phone for TEN DAYS !!!

We've been communicating via the neighbour across the road.

I've just spoken and fixing things. Weird that the telephone worked while he was still fixing things. Mysteries.Ours is not to wonder why.

Mum also said that the day I left there had been a power- cut for 2 hours.

Thankfully all is well again , blessed be.

  • Mornin' all

And it's a bright and sunny day again , most welcome after the past few dull dark days. As I look out of my living room window over the rooftops I see a small plane land at Bromma airport. It's only a small airport mainly for domestic flights and it is so close as the crow flies. I once checked and discovered they fly to 14 destinations among them Brussels. I have a friend who has moved there recently and couldn't resist the thought of walking to the airport, checking in and flying over there to pay him a visit.

Today's note from the Universe made me smile ..... TTFN ..... catch you later xxx

Life, what a trip! One minute you're born, the next you die. Then, one day, you stand back and say:

"Aye yai yai! Was that ever believable, or what?! First I thought I was this and then I thought I was that, then I became this and then that. Hold on now, why are you looking at me like that? Wait a minute... OHMYGOSH! There was a pattern! Holy cow! You mean I could have thought anything... and been anything?! But what about limits? How could that be? What do you mean pie in the sky? Dreams come true? Infinite possibilities?"

    Fortunately, Mira, there's still time...

  • Sunset at 3:20 pm

There are patches of red sky outside my window as the sets. In a few weeks the days will be at their shortest and then start getting longer again. The snow has almost gone; there's none left of the roof tops or on the pine needles on the bendy tree outside the blue room.

I've paid bills and am in the middle of doing laundry and catching up on neglected housework. Just had broccoli, blue-cheese and walnut pasta for lunch and am discovering one can eat only so much broccoli - never mind how good it is for you ! *makes note to self * " stop buying 'two for one' offers "- doesn't make sense for a single person. My home-frozen broccoli isn't very nice so I end up chucking it away and I hate chucking away food.

Enough excitement for one day . What's new in Blogland today ?

  • The thaw is on

The setting sun is shining shyly through the clouds. Snow is melting and dripping all over the place.

My mind is full of thoughts to do with my current housing situation. Everything is still up in the air. I am living in uncertainty. In a way malleable is good; things are not fixed. At times I feel optimistic and strong and then something happens to bring it all crashing down in pieces. It is so easy to sink into despair and I REFUSE to give in. I SHALL stand my ground.

At the soul sisters gathering each of us drew asked a question and drew a card for inspiration and encouragement.I asked about my housing situation and my card was a picture of two mateodors , acrobats, doing a balancing act on top of a running bull ! At least it was no " sitting bull " ;) :))

What do you reckon that means ?

I love and appreciate my beautiful , affordable home and I intend with all my heart and soul to stay on here as the owner or not at all. My home is place of comfort and joy to me and all whom I love. I ask the universe, angels, spirit guides, and other helpers in the ethers to join me in this request. Let all things needed to accomplish this request come into being with love and ease in a timely way. May this request already be answered. Love prevails and all sources and resources are aligned for the fulfillment of this intent. I am grateful for what is already done. It is done. It is done. It is done.

  • Soul sisters evening

Winter has really arrived in Miraland. More snow today and temperatures of minus 8C , which , together with an Arctic wind feel like minus 20 C.

GJLM meeting last night at L's place, without J . who is in England at a friend's wedding. L, G and I and L's daughter had a lovely evening all cosy and warm , enjoying delicious homemade food and lively chatting while Siberian - like weather raged outside.

L's home is gorgeous; spacious, old , high ceilings , wooden floors and framed photos of family all over the place. It's the perfect place for an unpretentious relaxed meeting with a hint or two of luxury. So , we met, caught up on eachother's lives and enjoyed the delicious homemade food prepared with oodles of TLC. L. and her two daughters love cooking and it both shows and tastes.

We were in the kitchen most of the time chatting and nibbling while L and L daughter put finishing touches to food and even managed to bake two loaves of bread ! All in there and then.

    Spicy , roasted nibbles .

Bruschetta : avocado and tomato sals on a thin slice of homemade garlicky bread

PASTA to die for !! Olive oil, garlic, anchovies,pine-nuts tomato paste and sultanas, genreous sprinklig of parmesan.

Fresh baby spinach and pomegranate salad

    Pre-chrimble ambiance

There was cake too a bit like my Giyatri ..damn .. I forgot to take a picture of that .. sorry ... but it was YUMMY :)

  • More snow

Last night as the sun was setting .....

... and my balcony this morning .

Thyme all covered in snow .

    View from the kitchen window

  • A beautiful crescent moon this morning

Woke up at 6 this morning and saw the crescent moon through my bedroom window in a clear dark sky. Freezing cold outside. Spotted Sirius last night.:)

Wrote my morning pages and recorded my dream. in which I was really angry with A.S. who was so smug and smiled as I ranted and raged. My children in the dream had been sent to a boarding school against my will. I confronted the Principal cursing and shouting that he was a sadist and had no right to keep them there.

A lot of subconscious stuff is surfacing

I'm still in my dressing gown but not for long. Off for a GLM meeting - no J as she is in England for a friend's wedding. I'm really looking forward to seeing them again. Toodle pip .... must get dressed ... read you all later. Happy Sunday

  • Abraham on Wall Street

Shortly after the financial crisis erupted in September 2008, Abraham responded to a question from a recent college graduate who was about to go to work on Wall St., then elaborated further to the group on how one can stay connected to Source in these times of financial instability. Recorded on 9/27/08 in Boston, MA.

Abraham is the name given to an aspect of Source Energy translated for over 20 years by Esther Hicks. She and her husband Jerry are the authors of numerous books based on the Teachings of Abraham and their latest, "Money and The Law of Attraction", quickly reached #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. For more information please go to www.abraham-hicks.com.

    Interesting !

  • Morning pages

Julia Cameron, in her book " The Artist's Way " suggests you start the day writing 3 pages of longhand- 3 pages of stream of consciousness writing , first thing in the morning to empty your mind of thoughts and to become aware of what is actually going on in your mind. These pages , MORNING PAGES are to be written quickly and not take more than 20 minutes. They are for YOU and only you , written and not read. (This last part I don't fully understand.)

I first started writing morning pages 10 years ago about the same time I started my 4 year Psychosynthesis training. That first time I wrote them every single day for a year and a half. At this point in time I have 5 A4 files full of " the contents of my mind " first thing in the morning.

Today as I read , at random, from the 1998 file I was fascinated by the little details of my life then. Things I'd forgotten. The Prof was still living with me then and getting ready to go to work ; I sometimes wrote in purple ink , sometimes in turquoise; I often woke up with a snotty nose and some of the thoughts, esepcially half way through seemed so profound that I found myself aksing " Did these words really come through me ? " So, I've started writing morning pages again and from time to time , I shall make a habit of dipping in and reading , especially around the middle of page two.

  • Physical and non - physical

You are an extension of that which is Nonphysical. You are the leading edge, more specifically focused, eyes of that which is Nonphysical. The current you're using as the Energy that you are creating with is the Nonphysical. We are all in this together. You are the more specific eyes of the Nonphysical Energy.

  • Shrinking

My "shrinking session " had me in tears today.Pent up emotions surfacing and needing to be processed.
The last 6 weeks have seen me face existential challenges to do with house and home and now this business with mum getting old . It's so sad to see her becoming more and more vulnerable. Lots of adult things to face and process - it's heavy work. I've spoken to my sister and emailed BT . I've done all I can think of . At times like these we need to rely quite heavily on our angels to step in and lend a hand.

Will have an early night tonight. Pity I don't have a bath tub . I got quite used to a nice hot soak before bed while I was away.

    Night night xx

  • A bright and sunny morning with a touch of concern

A bright and sunny morning ; blue skies and sunshine as I wake up for the second time. I can see the pale crescent moon in the sky through my bedroom window.

Time to get a move on. I have an appointment with MrH the shrink. Bless me, it has been 6 weeks since my last confessions. I'm always curious as to what will come up. I shall resist the tempatation to " prepare " and simply trust the process.

There is peace and calm in Miraland, but I can't help feeling concern for my pint-size little mum back in Bradford. Her phone was disconected on Tuesday, the day I left as she is switching over from Virgin to BT and they have to install cables or something. The has said they would call beforehand but one wonders HOW since the phone has been disconnected , dead as a doornail ! Mum waited all day for BT to come only to find a note left by them under the plant pot to say they had been at 3pm . She was most definitely at home. Now , I hear from my sister that they are not able to come again until 28th !! It's a disgrace for an 83 year old lady to be without a phone for so long.

I want her to get a mobile phone , but she wont have it. Has anyone here any experience or ideas regarding ultra simple mobile phone subscriptions for the elderly ??

  • If you find your home blown away

If all of you, when you went home today, found your homes had blown away, you would be happier in the days and weeks and months to follow than if you went home and everything was normal -- because it causes more focus of desire. There is all this fresh stuff pouring through you. It's like opening spaces to new allowance.

If every remnant of success was gone from you -- still you stand as the culmination of all that you've learned. And we don't mean learned in the sense that now you know how to do it again. We mean you have been the creation that has been in the process of being created, and here you stand as this clearer, more focused wanter and allower than you've ever been before. Which means, you can take your next breath of desire and step into your next place of allowing, and all that you ever had, and ten times more, can be in your experience immediately -- when you accept that you are the asker and the receiver, and the letter-in of all of that.

  • Back in Miraland

    Hey and ho !!

I trudge up the hill dragging my case as the church clock strikes midnight . Have spent twelve hours travelling, and the Lady Moon has been with me all the time: first on landing in Manchester a week ago nearly full and now half full , reclining , as it were.

It's been a lovely week that has whizzed by in a blink of an eye.

FABULOUS meeting more bloggy peeps ......what a delight ....love and ease.... many hugs.

Off to bed now for some shut eye.

    More tomorrow xxx

  • From "in touch services " Bradford ,

Obekacha ,dearest pals in Blogland :)

Here I am againg in the Internet cafe in Bradford. Ł1.50 for americano and inrernet. I've just removed suspicious unidentified object from the keynboard.:) all is well'

Ł 2: 80 allows me unlimeted travel for 24 hours around Bradford.

It's odd but also fun being tourist and stranger in the town of my birth. People notice immediatetely that I am an outisder cos I no longer know how things are done here - things that everyone else knows.

At home , mum asks me several times a day what I want for breakfast and while having breakfast what I want for my dinner and what I want for my tea. Bless. I know she means well but it's something I'm not used to living on my own and " don't know " is not an aceptable answer :))

I've climbed ladders , put up curtains, listened to endless babble about boring " important" things and sent telemarketing people packing, though mum is really quite good at dealing with them herself. I did order a pair of shoes for her from DH Williams mail order catalogue following a sales call offering her 20% off for being a loyal customer. :) A bit of luck. What I thought was funny though was that you have to phone a number and then press 1 to order after which the phone goes dead and theh THEY ring you up !

There are some fabulous saris and glittery Indian things in the market. Spices too, I may go back there are get them to mix me a curry blend or a garam masala. Bradford is famous for its curries but you have to know where to go. I had ( small ) fish and chips in town which was only Ł2 and came with two rounds of buttered brown bread. " small " was quite enough for me

Going out to a friend's for dinner tonight.

Blog meet tomorrow .. yeah !!!.... much love and hugs all round...take care xxx

  • From an Internet cafe in Bradford

I'm back iin the city of my birth after a bit of drama'
Honestly ... the stress of the past two weeks is showing ...
Left for the airport around noon yesterday with plenty of time to spare and starting to relax after the fridge and freezer kaput episode midnight the night before ....

Realised I'd forgotten my asthma meds on the kitchen counter !!!
How stupid can you get !
The thought of being without almost brought on an attack

    quick think

on arrival at Marsta I hop into a taxi " take me to the nearest chemist please " not knowing if they will give me the prescription meds or not.

Fortunately , they could = ID was sufficient to see what meds could be dispensed.... at a price .... cost of flight to UK , but never mind .. now I have meds for the next 3 months after which I will pay 25% ....

After that , same taxi to the airport.
Funny how much easier things are when you have money .. have credit card will travel lol

So .. flight over was smooth .. slept on three seats .. arrived in Mancherster .. bus .. change bus and then taxi from Bradford exchange.

Mum has been looking after me .. bed warmed with two hot water bottles and hot bath !!!! yeahhhh ... lavender soak ... BLISS...
    So that's it for now.

    Wednesday today , right?
Meeting Meno and ....???? in LEEDS ... Sat 15th ... so excited

Lots of love and hugs xxx

  • I could do without this !!!

Leaving for Manchester tomorrow , little case almost packed , neighbour and I have just had a nice evening cuppa tea and chat. As I take the cups in into the kitchen I notice just noticed water on the kitchen floor.

    Cause ?

MY FRIDGE and FREEZER have DIED !!!!

So, here I am at midnight mopping up and salvaging contents .
    Oh mamma mia !!!
I could do without this !!!

Love love love ......dearest bloggity friend , please send loving fixing vibes my way , angels and fixing people my way please please pretty please xxxxx
    Thank you !!!
    ((((hugs )))))

Leaving in 12 hours from now !

  • A new beginning and spooky things

Monday morning and my home feels clean and fresh -- just knowing the old energies are gone is making a a big difference . Now waiting for my nose and sinuses to unblock. Hard to think with a heavy stuffy head.

Spooky things happening here - found my Vision Board painting , back to front leaning against bookcase in my bedroom. It had fallen off the wall above the bookcase. The hook was still in place. Can't work out how it could possibly have fallen naturally. Granted, the balcony door was open, could have been the wind , but to land like that ???? Weird. Also Prof's small silver picture frame on top of TV had fallen under the big cupboard. I saw Meets angel fly down and disappear under the cupboard- that's how I found Prof's picture frame when I tried to retrieve the angel !

The major clearing out of stuff has taken practically all my strength these past two weeks. Apologies to all friends for not reading and commenting as much as I would have liked. I'm leaving for UK tomorrow and LEEDS BLOG MEET 15 NOVEMBER - will see my dear Meno again and who else , I wonder ???

Pity that Marita the acupuncturist has stomach flu today .. was so looking forward to her healing needles. Bummer !

    Happy Monday everyone ((hugs ))))

  • Crazy cooking

Cooking when you can't taste anything is fun !

I reckoned that I might as well ingest a wholesome soup of veggies- that kind that are really good for you.

    Into the pot :

    carrots
    broccoli
    onion
    5 cloves of garlic
    a handful of kidney beans
    organic veggie stock cube
    tomato passata
    small chili pepper

    Cook for 20 minutes
Then blitz in mixer where I've previously made pesto sauce and there's a bit of pesto still clinging to the sides

    Blitz

Add a splash of white wine
Cut up bits of left over spaghetti in pesto sauce and chuck that in.

    MMMMMmmmmm ... surprisingly good
I can mostly taste the sting of the chili pepper and I'm smiling at the silliness and the fact that I've tricked myself into eating things that are good for me :)

I wonder what I should call this ?
    Any suggestions ?

I'll get Gunilla to try some tomorrow and give me her opinion.
    :))

  • A beautiful crescent moon

I'd just returned from my second trip down to the laundry room up and down millions of stairs and I happened to look out through my picture window. There she was , all stunning bright and beautifully silver in the black sky. Quite a sight. Bless you , I said. I'm sure she winked.

My CD's need a proper home , a shelf or cd stand of some sort, but since I don't have one, I've stacked them in piles on one of the empty shelves where they are at eye-level and I can see them. Not ideal , but will do.

Also found the photo albums a new home and loose photos are now in one of the collage decorated shoe boxes.

Hope you all had a good day ... sweet dreams xxxx

  • Shares in Lambi

I should have shares in Lambi or Kleenex. The amount of soft toilet tissue that I have gone through this past week is HUGE ! all because of this huge clear-out that I am having. I'm does up to the eyeballs with anti- histamines, eye drops, asthma meds, nose spray and c- vitamins. What keeps me going is the thought that by Saturday it will be all over.

Not easy to think of anything else right now.

    Apologies for the boring post.
Will blog again when inspiration strikes ;)
    Back to work .........

  • Happ Birthday to the moff

A very happy birthday to the moff

Have a wonderful , magical day !  xxx

    23. Infinite Truth

You must understand the whole of life, not just one little part of it. That is why you must read, that is why you must look at the skies, that is why you must sing and dance, and write poems, and suffer, and understand, for all that is life. –J. Krishnamurti

    23. Infinite Truth

Soul Message: Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world...As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. –Marianne Williamson

Alchemy and Transformation: At this stage of initiation, the great mystery of light is revealed. As we grow wiser, we come again, through our sacred meanderings, to the center of truth. Whatever your tradition or practice, however you offer your skills to the world, trace your roots and find the center of stillness and peace within. Only from this grace-filled place can we restore the health and well being of ourselves and our planet.

Awakening to the Archetype –Sophia, Goddess of Wisdom: In Sophiological cosmology, Sophia is understood as the Great Womb of the Holy Spirit out of which are birthed seven spiraling streams of divine energy. These streams were said to interface at every conceivable level and frequency, creating the solar systems, galaxies, and universes, and thoroughly saturating them with the spiritual qualities of wisdom and truth.

Everyday Encounters: You are invited to incarnate divine wisdom in your life at this time. Understand that wisdom is your birthright, your true nature. Become a true intellectual, one who engages the full power of the mind, heart, and spirit in the interest of alleviating suffering and making the world a true Garden of Eden.

    Ok

Saw a flat I liked today , a possible swap.
Emailed the owner and started to move in in my mind .. hehehe.. bit premature , I know, but you have to try things on for size right ... can but dream.

Was still in happy mode when Lena phoned in tears. 12 1/2 year old Tessie was worse. She'd been peeing and pooping all over the place during the weekend out in the coutry. She'd run out and disappeared for a long while in the woods, but finally returned. The painful decision to allow Tessie to go to Doggie Heaven had been taken. Bless.

In other news......I snored through my acupuncture treatment, played Florence to Pether who'd fallen from a ladder while putting up shelves and bruised his side possibly cracking a rib. Mucho OUCH ! and did a whole pile of ironing and cleared some more stuff. The dust is making me sneeze again

Off to bed now. Hope your day was wonderful.
Blessings to our friends in USA as they go to the polls. May they vote wisely.

  • A day spent in my dressing gown

A whole day , unashamedly spent in my dressing gown.:)

As I drift on into Dreamland, I leave you with this blessing

May evening find you gracious and fulfilled.
May you go into the night blessed, sheltered, and protected.
May your soul calm, console, and renew you.

  • Your work is not to fix them

You’re not ever going to teach them how to vibrate, nor would you want to change them all to a place of vibrating just like you.

Your work is not to fix them; they are not broken.

Your work is to choose from among all of that which feels best to you, and fixate on it as long as it gives you pleasure and joy. And in doing so, you will align with the Energy of your Source, and you will live a magnificent experience.

You just have to not let your joy depend upon what anybody else is living, ‘cause that’ll get you every time.

  • A walk around Skogskyrkogården

    An unusual  grave

This is K's  Aunt Alice and Aunt Olga's " one - room apartment " ...

It wasn't quite dark enough for it to be spooky

Memorial slope. We lit a candle here for all our loved ones beyond the veil

Standing room only in the chapel . We didn't stay very long.

  • John O’Donohue continues to inspire from the beyond

  • Happy Samhain / Halloween / All Saints Day

Last night was dark, rainy, misty and cold here . I held a cosy , clean , uncluttered, sparkling light and bright home in my mind ( does that count ? ) while in reality there is chaos and dust around me; black bags full of stuff waiting to be shifted next weekend !!

By midnight I was exhausted , but lit a candle to ALL THAT IS and voiced my intentions and wishes to the Universe. Happy New Year !

This is a powerful time of the year when the veil between the worlds is thin. I thought everyone knew about this when I happened to mention this to a colleague the other day , but apparently not.

As Autumn gives way to Winter ( and Winter to Spring ) there is an unseen period of transition - a sort of invisible portal or veil that is open or lifted allowing communication with other worlds to flow back and forth more easily. It's what in everyday terms I'd call an very very inspiring time. It is a time when I consciously choose to take  Light into the darkness both literally and in visualisations , meditations and healings.

Today is sunny and bright and I will be meeting Kjell to wander around Skogskyrkogården and light candles on loved ones ,graves, meditate and listen to music in the chapel and afterwards good food and wine at his place.

LOVE LIGHT and BLESSINGS  to us all
