  • Abraham on Wall Street

Shortly after the financial crisis erupted in September 2008, Abraham responded to a question from a recent college graduate who was about to go to work on Wall St., then elaborated further to the group on how one can stay connected to Source in these times of financial instability. Recorded on 9/27/08 in Boston, MA.

Abraham is the name given to an aspect of Source Energy translated for over 20 years by Esther Hicks. She and her husband Jerry are the authors of numerous books based on the Teachings of Abraham and their latest, "Money and The Law of Attraction", quickly reached #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. • Morning pages

Julia Cameron, in her book " The Artist's Way " suggests you start the day writing 3 pages of longhand- 3 pages of stream of consciousness writing , first thing in the morning to empty your mind of thoughts and to become aware of what is actually going on in your mind. These pages , MORNING PAGES are to be written quickly and not take more than 20 minutes. They are for YOU and only you , written and not read. (This last part I don't fully understand.)

I first started writing morning pages 10 years ago about the same time I started my 4 year Psychosynthesis training. That first time I wrote them every single day for a year and a half. At this point in time I have 5 A4 files full of " the contents of my mind " first thing in the morning.

Today as I read , at random, from the 1998 file I was fascinated by the little details of my life then. Things I'd forgotten. The Prof was still living with me then and getting ready to go to work ; I sometimes wrote in purple ink , sometimes in turquoise; I often woke up with a snotty nose and some of the thoughts, esepcially half way through seemed so profound that I found myself aksing " Did these words really come through me ? " So, I've started writing morning pages again and from time to time , I shall make a habit of dipping in and reading , especially around the middle of page two.
