Happy Winter Solstice 2008 , Northern Hemisphere and Happy Summer Solstice to all those "dawnunder" in the southern Hemisphere.
It's been a glorious sunny day here but now dark and rainy I've enjoyed the Solstice energies all day; flowing from one state of being to the next in silence while trying to pay attention to the small voice within.
Around 2 pm I ventured out to view a flat which turned out to be in a tall building at the top of hill with an enormous communal roof terrace with spectacular view, right next to the Church of St George ( Sankt Göran ) Built in 1946 apparently this red brick building, several storeys high used to be a refuge for unmarried mothers, consisting of one room studio apartments, but in recent years was renovated and changed into 2 and 3 room apartments.
I knew the minute I walked up the steep hill that this would not be my future home but didn't have the heart to say so to the very nice guy , father of twins, who painstakingly showed me around. It was very nicely renovated , but felt like a prison. Perhaps I was picking up energies of the mothers who had once lived there , I don't know. I wish them well and I hope they find the perfect new home. They were a couple of lovely children both under a metre tall, bless them and he was so gentle and patient with them. I really hope they find a bigger place; the children's two cots where squashed into their parent's bedroom. Glimpses of people's lives. It's all very humbling.
Now after a delicious supper of mushroom risotto and glass or red vino I've lit candles and have surrounded myself with my crystals to meditate , reflect and gaze through my picture window into the dark night over the rooftops of Sundyberg. Let us together visualize a bright joyous and peaceful future , abundant , prosperous and balanced however that may look for each of us. Blessed be xxx
