    Queene Mab and I were just enjoying some virtual strömming with nicely chilled Estonian vodka with a weeeeee bit o' lemon ;)

    Was trying to think in how many languages I know for " cheers " and came up with these

  • Strömming and mash

    Stromming and mash is what I've had for dinner tonight.
    Stromming i.e. Baltic herring , is probably the cheapest and most nutritious food around. I suddenly got craving while waiting to be served at the fish counter. It was going to be salmon, but there were so many people waiting to be served that I thought- sod it - and picked up the tray of packaged strömming instead.

    Sandwiched too fillets together, dipped in seasoned rhye flakes and fried in butter and olive oil. YUM ! A huge portion for about €1:50 washed down with a glass of red- probably should be beer, but I prefer wine :yes:

    Now to put the roses in water that I bought at the market on my way home.
