  • Of chick peas and strömming

I had some delicious fried strömming ( baltic herring) for dinner and my home is still smelly despite the air extractor. In for a penny in for a pound ... I now have a whole pot full of chick peas cooking away, destined for hummus, falaffel and other goodies. Might as well eh ?

Marcia, is an old friend of mine who used to live here but returned to London about 20 years ago after her divorce from Swedish hubby and will be staying with me for week. This enterprising lady has just started her own business offering makeovers, colour consultations and style advice and is mainly here on business so I won't have to do touristy bits.

Gosh .. it's midnight already and still quite light outside. Nice .. a clear sky after all the rain. I wonder if the moon is around somewhere ?

  • On Freedom

Friday .. I'm im in the wonderful Freija day energies. Received an email from G.

....ditt frihetsbehov är så stort och genomsyrar dig så mycket. Jag måste säga att jag beundrar hur du tar till vara din frihet. Det är en konst att kunna göra det.

which basically says she admires my wanting to be free . These words touch my heart and soul, and my eyes fill with tears.

I remember a personal development course I attended in the 90s and an exercise we did to find out our core beliefs. Freedom was at the top of my list as a quality I admire the most.
    I am a free spirit,
I am an eagle soaring high in a limitless sky, but life is also pull of paradox.
This being limitless is both a blessing and a curse
In recent years I have learned to set boundaries
Setting boundaries keeps intruders out ,but also prevents people and things from getting in.
I long to be free and yet held.

Bless QUEEN, bless Freddie Mercury .... I miss him, his art , talent , music and outspokenness. He was truly one of a kind.

    Happy Freija day , everyone !! :)
