*shudders* I'm referring to the film " The Wicker Man (2006)" a remake of the 1973 film.
I happened to see the film about half way through last night before going to bed. It seemed harmless enough , and I like Nicholas Cage, beautiful scenery, green meadows filled with wild flowers, trees, and a hint of magic and ritual.
The twist at the end is horrible when Nic realises that he is to be the human sacrifice and die a martyr's death by being burned alive inside the wicker man !!! I turned the T.V, off after the bit where they broke both his legs with a hammer !!! USCH .... how can human beings do such horrible things to each other ?
I feel physical pain in my body when I think of these things, especially in my legs. I am convinced it is a remnant of a past life experience of being burnt at the stake.
The body, amazing as it is, doesn't forget. On second thoughts, these memories must be embedded in the soul... as we get a new human costume is every time we incarnate.
Is there a way of exorcising these horrific scenes from the mind ? They tend to stay with me for years and years.

so yeah although the body is new it remembers also xx
Some 'fairy stories' can be just as horrible.....But they have lasted longer than most reputable 'books'! They are not literal.....but our minds are attuned to interpret literally at times...
