Is nudity on TV acceptable at lunchtime? ( see link )
Nudity, nakedness, the naked truth .... apparently it is a hot topic in the national papers here in Sweden as well.
Nude bathing is nothing new to Swedes. My friend Lena goes skinny dipping in the sea every day when she on her island.( so do I when it is WARM enough ) Swimming in silver by moonlight as well as bright sunshine. Come rain or shine, it is her daily cleansing ritual, and this is something people here do and have done for years without it being immoral , naughty or wrong.
I love swimming in the nude. Sleeping in the nude and walking around my home in the nude watering plants , dusting or hoovering. Simpler that way , so long as it is warm.

Channel 4 series Life Class
Recent articlesViewers have complained about a new Channel 4 programme that features full frontal nudity at 12.30pm.
Life Class: Today's Nude features different male and female models each day and encourages budding artists to sketch along at home as a tutor explains drawing and painting techniques.

What IS all the fuss about?
Personally , I welcome the naked truth, be it morning noon or night.
Non-sexualised nudity is fine at any time of the day.
Sexualised nudity is also fine , but I believe it deserves a sacred, secret time and place for it to remain special and for the sake of eroticism.
What are your thoughts on this ?

Isn't that sad ... I mean .. religious people know that the human body is one of God's gifts ... so why be ashamed of a God given gift ? Doesn't make sense, does it.

It seems illogical to me too. The explanation goes right the way back to the Adam and Eve story...

Yes I agree with you

As far as I am concerned there is no issue here - its a "life class", these have generally featured nude models.
It is not like they are having sex for gods sake!-

I know ... a life class requires nude models

The fist time I had a life class in college I was still teen aged and it was done in such a no non sense practical way, no giggling, no smirking just looking and drawing I grew to love the intimate concentrated atmosphere.
The human body is a wondrous marvel, and when it is drawn well is incredibly beautiful and moving.
When a person is naked they are, as they truly are it's as honest as we can be with saying nothing.
I later did many years of care work and saw people naked daily, they had no shame or embarrassment about it and neither did I.
Never once in any of those situations did I find it sexual. That's not to say in my own life in the right context with boyfriends, I didn't find nakedness a turn on, of course I do
It depends on the mind set of the one looking.
I think those people are making a huge fuss about not much.

I have no issue with nudity, there was a long period that as soon as I was in behind closed doors I used to strip off and that was me.
I just got so used to it one day I answered the door with nothing on... that was a bit of a shocker to the 2 visitors although it took me some moments to work out why they were so shocked.

I can always tell when its the weekend here as there are naked people on many satellite stations

Is that so ?
Seems to me , the more you cover something up and make it secret or forbidden , the more people want to see.
Now supposing the nose was rude and you could get arrested for indecent exposure
I'm rambling on ......

i don't know why some people see the naked body as dirty or rude, i think the complaints say more about the folk concerned themselves x

Yes , these people who complain must be troubled.

The human body is a beautiful thing, whatever shape or size, clothed or naked.

I agree that it depends on the context with some qualifications:
Non-sexualised nudity is fine at any time of the day in an appropriate place such as the privacey of your own home, sunbathing in your own backgarden or on a nudist beach as some people find it embarassing or distracting to enounter.
Sexualised nudity is also fine between consenting adults, but it is definitely a private matter.

I am okay with nudity but prefer to keep my clothes on when bopping around the house as you never know when a bloody dog will stick its nose up your arse. xxx

I don't have a problem with it either, but I know lots of people (often religious people) have difficulty disassociating nudity from sex. There are others (again often religious people) who think that children should know nothing of what adult bodies look like. I don't get it at all, but the people who think in these wasys seem to be in the majority.
