t' man is out jogging while I am here catching up with emails and blogland.

Dinner with Gunilla was great with lots of heart to heart soul to soul sharing.

G. is staying at a friend's flat as he own flat is rented out for the month in order to bring in very necessary funds. Long story. Won't go into the details. G. has also taken on an extra job working in an old people's nursing home , which is really taking it's toll on her physically.

Ok .. more later ... got to go out now .. ttfn gave a good saturday

Working in old folk's homes is one of the worst jobs for creating future back problems,
G should be very careful Xx

  You are so right .. she should be careful as she does have back problems It's really sad to watch. " I must do some body building exercises " she says .... but that takes time. I don't know what the solution is ....

    There are 2 sides to physical work, one is that it is initially exhausting, the second is that providing you are properly trained to do it (i.e. not lifting loads/patients incorrectly) doing physical work is actually very good for the body.
    
    The problem with working in a Old People's Home is more emotionally draining I think and can be quite distressing. Personally I doubt I could cope with seeing all those wonderful Old People deteriorating and finally shuffling off this mortal coil, but then some people would get satisfaction out of knowing that they have helped to provide the best possible care for them in their last years. I suppose it depends on what type of person you are and whether you are able to distance yourself from it all a little.
