I know that it is possible for life to look, sometimes, as if it's going downhill, as if everything is falling apart. But consider this:
When life is 'falling apart' things could actually be falling together...maybe for the first time.
Try to not see things that are not there -- and do not fail to see things that are... Neal Donald Walsch

Sleep walking through the day
@ Tuesday, 29. Sep, 2009 – 22:54:45
Blue skies and sunshine this morning , a complete contrast from dark wild wet and windy evening last night.
Didn't get enough sleep and felt sad .. but why ?
Felt as though I have been crying all night, only hadn't. So many wordless thoughts or blurry thoughts. If they were clearer, I could examine them and turn them around , but alas , not so. Not easy to think clearly whilst feeling sleepy and nauseous.Made my way to acupuncture , missed Emmerdale, and slept there for 11/2 hours.
Afterwards train to Medborgarplatsen to copy a form for Minna.
Brrrrr it's cold now .. bright and sunny , but cold.
Senaps strömming and potatoes then nap, waking up
at 20:00, feeling better. It is a MISTAKE to eat thinking that food will make you less tired. Not so.
When will I learn that sleep is the best remedy
Watched " Stora Resan " Swedish families staying with primitive tribes on the other side of the world, respecting , appreciating and exploring each other's cultures and ways.

Dark, wild , wet and windy
@ Monday, 28. Sep, 2009 – 23:04:39
Brrrrrr 6C the rain is beating down against the window panes and I can hear the wind. It's cold dark wet and windy outside and I am glad that I am indoors.
How quickly the weather changes these days. Only a couple of hours ago I was admiring the moon through my bedroom window in a clear blue sky, 16C.
It was on such a night , 15 years ago that the Estonia ferry sank 29 September 1994 claiming 852 lives.
Humbling events. Makes me wonder if these disasters happen to make us better human beings ?
Bless all travellers and fishermen out at sea.

Reclaiming my space again .
@ Sunday, 27. Sep, 2009 – 20:26:07
Reclaiming my space after three days of action filled days, bless it all.
Saw my friend off at City Terminalen. Ryan air were doing " two for one " fares for 75kr, Stockholm Skavsta / Västerås, which is a lot cheaper than local transport or the fare to Stockholm Arlanda.
I'd barely got through the door when Gunilla phoned. Met her at Slussen , took the ferry over to Djurgården and waled to Rosendal Gardens
Spectacular autumn colours everywhere and still warm enough to sit outside. We chose the orchard which was nice and peaceful.
Took the ferry back to Slussen where we parted ways. My little legs were aching from the walking but much better now after a hot bath and a nap. Early night to night, I think *yawns*
Just heard that my friend had got back alright via Birmingham. Good to know. Nice when friends text after a visit. Bless.

@ Tuesday, 22. Sep, 2009 – 11:38:50
Mornin' all

Gosh
I'm tiredI FEEL tired .. tired is not who I am
ah well ....
sooooo....another day .. what happened to yesterday ?I don't think i was in Blogland at all. Why ? Cos the day started so flippin early.

Doctor's appointment first thing which means I set the alarm and sink into a warm bath 3 hours before appointment time in order to be more or less awake. She drew blood and my right arm is bruised now where the needle went in, but it didn't hurt a bit.

Had a siesta after lunch. Power naps are gr8 !! I'm a total believer. I'd barely opened my eyes when the phone rang. Contact person at the job centre wanted information. Rummaged around in files.Received a log statement from my doc H. and read through it to check that we were on the same page, as it were, and it was all good. Bless him. Must have taken him hours to write. Bless him a thousand times. I am so grateful. Made phone calls, stressed a bit and then got ready for to go out - to see the BEATLES, no less.
Time warp.. met friend A. whom I'd not seen for over 20 years. We recognised each other and it was a really joyful relaxed meeting. Relief.Caught up a little on each other's life stories. His oldest is 22 , my Prof is 32 !. Our children mark the passage of time.
" The Beatles " sang well. Charisma was missing, but the sound was good and took me back to my disco days and " The Hole In The Wall " in Bradford and the " Little Black Fat Pussycat " club where they used to stamp your hand to show that you'd paid. It said " bla bla bla budgie breeder" or summat

Anway it was great fun. A tonic. A real treat

Afterwards we jumped on one of the crowded extra buses that was kindly put on by Stockholm public transport and headed into town to look for a somewhere to eat.
Alas, most places seemed to be closed - it was 10:30 by that time , but we did manage to get a bit and a drink at a place that played 70s music. Another time warp.
I was home shortly after midnight and slept like a log humming 'it's been a hard days night .....' yeah , yeah , yeah .....

Ended up in Drottningholm,
@ Sunday, 20. Sep, 2009 – 20:00:28
Drottningholm Palace is the home of the Swedish royal family and is located just outside Stockholm in beautiful grounds open to the public.
When I have guests , we usually take the steamer out there and back but when I'm on my own I take the tunnelbana and bus; it takes longer , but its free if you have a monthly travel card.
Today it took a little longer than usual because of roadworks on the bridge just outside Drottningholm , but it didn't matter too much. It was a lovely day , I love travelling and usually get lost in daydreams.
On arrival there what struck me most was the great expanse of blue sky in all directions.. north south east and west. It was one of those ah ha moments that sent me into a meditative state. The whole afternoon was a walking meditation.
I took in shapes, textures, colours, patterns, scents and all manner of inspiration as I walked along snapping away with my digital camera anything and everything that caught me eye.
At far end of the park is a Chinese pavillion and a stone house that is famous for its waffles. So that's where I had tea and waffles before wandring back.
On the way back one of the old oak trees beckoned so I sat down at its feet, leaning my back against its trunk, soaking up its life force. For a while I was sitting in grandfather oak's lap telling him my stories and he was listening attentively.
Will post pictures later .. a lovely calm and inspirational day

Yesterday ; pizza and wine with a good friend
@ Saturday, 19. Sep, 2009 – 11:47:34
Yesterday morning after receiving good news that there was once again money in MIralands coffers , off I trot to acupuncture feelinga great deal lighter and brighter.
On the way there, A-S phones and invites me to 3 pm lunch. Brilliant.I arrive after a nice snooze all relaxed and tenderised by the many needles, bless them all.
" Wine " says Anna- Stina ... we must celebrate !
Good idea , says I" cheers!"
After Pizza and a bottle of wine we decide we decide not to leave it at that and off I trott to the Systembolaget to get another bottle of red while A-S sets up a table in her yard.
I return with wine, cheese and nibbles and so, wrapped in blankets, we continue to eat and drink al fresco , until the sun sets . Neighbours Sigge and Ola join us for a while and then off I trot again to the number 4 bus , home and a hot bubbly bath, Bliss. I cannot begin to tell you how relieved and grateful I am for ALL my blessings. The End . ( for now ) Happy New year , 5770 in the Jewish calender. Also, new moon and autumn equinox approaching after the weekend. Why stop celebrating and enjoying ?

Bulgur bread
@ Wednesday, 16. Sep, 2009 – 21:53:17
My latest experiment , bulgur bread.
I'm convinced now that bread can be made from virtually anything.
Here's what happened.
I cooked far too much bulgur for a salad and only used a small quantity , so reluctant to throw it away decided to make it into bread ... and guess what .. IT WORKS !!
Make bread the usual way substituting the cooked bulgur for some of the flour. At a guess equal amounts of white flour to bulgur.
It makes a heavier a loaf but tastes absolutely fabulous !!
I've eaten a quarter and sliced and frozen the rest.Forgot to take a pic, sorry .. maybe next time.
That's all ..... xxx

Mira mumbles while laundry tumbles
@ Tuesday, 15. Sep, 2009 – 13:38:36
It's a bright and sunny day. Felt light and sunny too on waking and then took a dive , dipping into sadness and now back on top again. Never a dull moment in the perpetual e-motion cycle.
Two themes have emerged
Attachment and non attachment
Reality and Illusion - not all that glitters is gold .... still waters run deep......etc etc
And a part of me does not like to be tricked and taken in ...taken for a fool. This journey .. these thoughts are amazing . Awesome . A kalaidescope. ( Oh I'd love a kalaidescope
) As a gemini, I always seem to come up with two.
How easy it is to get emotionally attached to someone or something. When that someone or something leaves , suffering and sadness comes along.

One voice inside me asks " what part of this is real ?
When a person " dies " or passes on .. the body or suit of clothes is cast off and turns to dust while the soul , thee Life Force goes on in a different form ... like in Geothe's quote
Gesang der Geister über den Wassern
Song of the spirits over the watersThe soul of man
Is like the water:
It comes from heaven,
It returns to heaven,
And down again
To earth must go,
Ever changing. For the whole poem see awakening beauty blog
Like in a film or story , I can get attached to a character and when that character is " killed off " or leaves ... wahhhhh..... sadness and tears. Which is silly really as the character is imagined and not really real at all .. or is it ? It FEELS very real in the mind.
I'm indulging in these thoughts and emotions while my smalls are tumbling around in the drier upstairs.
OK .. time to get smalls and then off into the "real" world
have a good one TTFN -
My latest loaf and malakeas killer spaghetti
@ Monday, 14. Sep, 2009 – 22:21:15
This bread was made from strong brown spelt flour and organic white.
This time, I mixed 3 teaspoons dry yeast in water , with a little honey and flour.
Waited till this was all frothy and activated
flour in a big bowl
made a well
stirred in yeast mixture adding water to make a loose dough.
left it to rise about 2 hours
then kneaded for 10 minutes , adding flour to make a smooth dough
left it to rise again to 2x size
then greased a tin
put dough into tin
left to rise till double in size
baked 7 minutes in very hot oven , sprayed with water
then 30 minutes 200c
then took bread out of the tin, turned upside down and baked a further 10 minutesIt's a big loaf and quite heavy .. tastes good ... substantial slight nutty flavour. I can't stop eating it !!
A friend , Lena, was here to collect a sleeping bag I am lending her for her trip to Peru .
We had malakeas killer pasta .....( oh la la nom nom ) and Lena had a few slices of bread.. said it was good .. so I am not imagining it

Two men on the roof opposite
@ Sunday, 13. Sep, 2009 – 23:14:32
Looked out of my 6th floor window to the roof of the house opposite and there they were , two men moving around on the roof not at all bothered . Did not notice a safety wire or anything and felt quite dizzy just watching them.
So . another Sunday draws to a close. I've baked bread and made a tarte aux pommes , nom nom , been out shopping, thought. spoken to friends on the phone, blogged and facebooked.
The tarte aux pommes or tartatine (?) turned out really well. You start by making caramel and then add apples and finally puff pastry. When cooked you turn the whole thing upside down . The last part wasn't easy as my pan is cast iron and very heavy... but .... it was delish , non the less.
Hope your Sunday was yummy and blissful .

My two dreams last night
@ Saturday, 12. Sep, 2009 – 13:51:08
It took a while to wake up today after intensive dreaming, possibly as a result of " the healing experience " at quantum K .
The setting of the first part of my dream is a recurring one; a Tudor Mansion, a place where we often spent our holidays as children. The house always changes while retaining some of its features.
It's a house full of passageways, stairs, corridors and rooms and it easy to get lost there and lose your sense of direction. In the dream I am there with many people. This time there's some snow inside and carpets are laid over the snow to cover it.
I like being in there , exploring , meeting and talking to people, all of whom are new to me. but it's not a problem.
The second part of the dream is a session with a lawyer. I am sitting opposite him and there is a clock on the table . It is for him to keep an eye on the time as 'time is money ' . That is why it is so stressful ; I am trying to get my issues across to him and am afraid that I am not being very clear. I am waffling too much. He is losing interest. Does he hear me ? Is he paying attention ?
I think I dream this part over and over again , trying hard to be clear and wishing I had first given him my story on paper to read through before our session.
At one point he goes to the door and locks it.
Why ? Is it because he doesn't want us to be disturbed ? I am not afraid, just curious. -

Essentials
@ Friday, 11. Sep, 2009 – 16:48:19
Listen very carefully , I'm going to post this only once. ;)
There are two things in my life that I am particularly proud of ; two things that have profoundly changed the course of my life ,
First ; meeting the Prof's dad , falling in love and giving birth to the Prof.
Second: finding Psychosynthesis ; Transpersonal Psychology often called " Psychology with a soul " and it all started with a 5 day intensive workshop called " Essentials " or Essentials of Psychosynthesis.During these 5 very intensive days , together with a group of like minded souls , you get a taste of what Psychosynthesis is and how to use the tools , maps and models for personal and spiritual development - body , feelings , mind and spirit .
I've just googled and found that you can do Essentials workshops in Devon , Wales and Findhorn..
Psyhosynthesis links :
Psychosynthesis and Education Trust
The Institute of PsychosynthesisThe Start of Your Journey in Psychosynthesis
This dynamic and stimulating course provides tools and techniques that have a direct application to both personal and professional development - as well as being the essential entry point to professional training in psychosynthesis.
Essentials is a unique opportunity to further your personal journey.
The course is a blend of deep experiential and theoretical work and comprises an intense 50 hourexperience spread over five days.
Students have told us that they find the experience ofEssentials both moving and life enhancing - quite apart from the stimulating introduction to a new model of the mind and some fresh therapeutic methods.

Beautiful end to a busy day
@ Wednesday, 09. Sep, 2009 – 23:16:43
Saw the Lady Moon coming back from friend's house tonight. She , the lady moon, was looking fabulous tonight, despite the slight loss of curvyness.
My friend recently moved to my neck of the woods and I can actually walk there or take the bus - only 2 stops away. Brilliant.

Brought her some homemade bread ,and some fancy sea salt ( taking bread and salt is one of our family customs when visiting someone who has just moved in )and a little miniature rose plant

Also brought sage and did a ritual smudging
and then had some delicious blue cheese and broccolli quiche , salad and glass or two of red.We did a Tarot reading for the trip as she is off to Peru for 3 weeks at the end of the month soand found out that the trip is truly blessed
All in all, a perfect end to a busy day of filling in forms and registering at job agency, I'm hoping to find 10 hours of interesting work , a week to supplement , at present, non existing income.

10 Spices That Heal
@ Tuesday, 08. Sep, 2009 – 15:10:56
There are natural solutions to all kinds of ailments and some of these solutions sound tasty too. Read more here

Cloves: Helps Arthritis Pain
HOW IT WORKS: According to Chinese medicine, cloves have hot and moving properties that relieve arthritis pain caused by cold and stagnation. Cloves contain a phytochemical that interrupts the pathways of a protein complex in the body that’s been linked to inflammatory diseases such as arthritis. TRY TO GET: 1/2 teaspoon a day. USE IT: Saute 1 cup fresh parsley (finely chopped), 1 clove garlic (crushed), 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon pepper, and 1 teaspoon cloves in 1 tablespoon olive oil. After 3 minutes, add 4 cups shredded rhubarb chard, and fry until soft and tender, about 5 minutes. Serve hot with chicken or fish.Turmeric: Curbs Inflammation
HOW IT WORKS: An ancient spice that gives curry its deep golden-orange color, turmeric reduces the inflammation in the body that causes pain. Curcumin, a component in turmeric, inhibits cell enzymes that contribute to inflammation. TRY TO GET: 1/2 to 1 teaspoon a day. USE IT: Add a dash to organic canned soups, such as tomato, lentil, or black bean varieties.Thyme: Eases a Cough
HOW IT WORKS: Thyme is an antispasmodic, which helps with bouts of nonstop coughing. Thyme’s antiseptic properties also make it very effective against inflammation of the throat, which can cause coughing. TRY TO GET: 2 to 3 teaspoons a day. USE IT: For a simple vinaigrette, whisk together 1 tablespoon coarsely chopped fresh thyme leaves with 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar, 1 teaspoon honey, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil.Recipe ideas from Dana Jacobi, author of The Essential Best Foods Cookbook (Rodale, 2008).

9.9.9. and the Mayan Calendar
@ Monday, 07. Sep, 2009 – 19:23:29
The Gregorian date 9.9.9 (9 September, 2009) through an amazing synchronicity happens to be the beginning of a new tzolkin round:
Carl Johan Calleman, an authority on the Mayan Calender says that we may look upon this date as the launching of a three stage rocket to the fulfillment of the ninth level of creation, and it is an ideal time to contemplate or lauch projects designed to serve humanity's co-creation of the birth of a new world.
9.9.9. and the Mayan Calender

http://www.calleman.com/content/articles/999_and_the_mayan_calendar.htm
The Mayan calendar stops at 2012, so we can but speculate as to why this is .
Additional tools for networking and communication with the focus on the Cosmic Convergence, July 17-18, 2012 will be developed as we go along. 9.9.9 may be seen as an initial and modest initial call for the co-creation of the birth of a new world.

Diving into blogland before breakfast
@ Sunday, 06. Sep, 2009 – 13:18:24
Dived into blogland before breakfast today , and now my tummy is rumbling and insisting it wants feeding , but my mind ( or soul ?) is insisting " Let me just say this....."
My day starts with rituals.Recording snippets of dreams, drinking a glass of hot water , taking asthma meds, and a couple of tablespoons of psyllium seeds and crushed flaxseed all washed down with lots of water.
After that, writing of 3 pages ( 15 minutes ) and then meditation. Today meditation consisted of washing last night's dishes mindfully and then continued in the bath while soaking in lavender scented bubbles.
There's something about water , soaking in hot water , relaxing and letting go that allows innermost thoughts and feelings to surface.
After 15 minutes or so , I jump out of the bath , still wrapped in a towel and head off to 'puter and blogland to record insights and thoughts before I forget.
Ok , that's all I have to say for now

More after breakies.
See ya then ... love and laughter xxx -

Abraham , Abe , for short, is a group of wise entities chanelled by Esther Hicks.
Abe's messages and wisdom have inspired and supported me over the years, especially " Ask and it is given " , which was at my side the whole time during a health crisis two years ago.
A new book has come out now " The Vortex".
The Thoughts I Think Determine the Relationship I Attract... You are the thinking, Vibrating attractor of your experience; and the thoughts you think determine everything about the life that you live. As you turn your attention toward the positive aspects of the personalities and behaviors of others with whom you share your planet, you will train your point of attraction in the direction of only what you desire. Not only does the power of your thought determine which people make their way into your life, but the power of your thought determines how they behave once they get there.

My dream last night
@ Saturday, 05. Sep, 2009 – 11:03:34
I am at the hairdressers, the one I found when I moved into town and that I am very pleased with, but in the dream she goes wild and is chopping away at my hair with lightning speed.
I stare in awe as bits several inches long come flying off. It's disturbing to me as I have always had long hair and recently it is quite a bit shorter already than it usually is.
She shows me the back in the mirror and tells me how wonderful it looks and that is definitely an improvement

I look and see that it is REALLY short , but the front is a mass of curls and I see that there is a lot of hair gathered up in a pony tail
( impossible in waking life , but in dreams , well , everything goes ! )

The End
I wake up longing for longer hair

Sweeping the bed of the ocean and stirring up the sand
"Not everything is at is appears to be "

"Out will the old and in with the new"
as she waves her broom around Mary Poppins like .
" There is nothing to fear, my dear "
says she.

they are doorways into the joy of being fully alive in each moment.
It is even possible to watch the evening news and trust what is unfolding!Every time you are faced with a challenge –
an illness, a difficult relationship, a compulsive behavior –
by learning to respond rather than react,
you can gather the gifts that they hold. One of the core ways we can move beyond the self that struggles with life is in changing our relationship to our compulsions, understanding that our core compulsion is to struggle. All other compulsions – whether it is overeating, overworking, over-worrying or even endless hours on the internet – are an attempt to numb out from the unease that constant struggle brings.
The challenges of our lives, rather than being something that needs to be fixed, can become guides back into a deep and nourishing connection with ourselves and with our lives.

The best argument is no argument
@ Thursday, 03. Sep, 2009 – 13:29:12
..that the best argument you can make is no argument
at all.
Do not argue with life, or with anyone in life. Life
presents itself perfectly in every moment, and every
person believe his or her point of view to be valid
and 'right.'
Arguing with any of this is pointless, and a terrific
waste of energy. Simply create what you choose next.
You will not have to think but a second to know
exactly why you received this message today.

Of angels and demons and transformation
@ Thursday, 03. Sep, 2009 – 13:21:37
We are in a time of great transformation. The inpouring of light isaccelerating the need to strengthen our spiritual immunity and become a positive force of change to help our entire planetary body to heal. We are each being called to step forward into greater self-responsibility and infuse the pre-existing energy fields with our spiritual light to create new configurations.from newsletter for September. http://innerlinks.com/products.php

I really feel that I am being challenged to strengthen my spiritual immunity.... I am on the " Advanced Course " ; at some level I must have requested growth !!
Last night I was plagued with terrifying maffia nazi nightmares and woke up at 3 am stiff with fear. It took me a while and the help of my Love Angels to return from this illusion to the safety of " what is ".
After 3 a.m the dreams were less scary; just stressful. A team of Japanese driving through my room and upsetting everything. I couldn't find things and some of my shawls were missing.
I am remembering to call upon my Angels, Beauty and Light .
The MInd is a real trickster.

@ Wednesday, 02. Sep, 2009 – 22:02:29
Head persisted to thump throughout the day and I got all confuddled, Arrived at 3 hours early for my appointment , duhhhh, got on the wrong bus and wandered around Haga Parken for a few hours and took snaps. It's only now that I can enjoy them together with you,
Aren't digital camera's MARVELLOUS
here are the beautiful bits of my day .
My favourite cafe was closed , but the one at the butterfly house was open and there was a wonderful exhibition of sculptures: " Living Stones ". -
Evening mumbles
@ Tuesday, 01. Sep, 2009 – 22:50:09
I can see the moon tonight , blessed be the beautiful lady ; this is my first sighting this month , I think.
Can't get into Gmail ; google says " Sever error - try again in 30 seconds " ..
.... it's been 30 minutes now Pffft

Gunilla came round this morning to help me write an important letter in Swedish, bless her. I am so grateful. She was grateful for lunch ; freshly made spicey cream of carrot soup, which did turn out well. Here's the recipe , should you like to try it.
About 4 big carrots peeled and grated
I large onion , chopped
Sauteed in olive oil till soft
(I do this in my iron cauldron, slow heat for quite a while 15 minutes or so, stirring occasionally )
Next add litre or so organic veggie stock and allow to simmer for 20 minutes or so.
( no stress in miraland )Then ... add a lump of frozen curry paste that I have prepared previously and keep in the freezer ,
Now if you haven't got that , add a few chilli flakes ( for zing ) turmeric ( for yellow colour ) tomato purée , koriander, ginger , couple of garlic cloves, and some crushed cumin and garam masala...... all to taste.
Finally blitz it in a food mixer or use hand mixer till all smooth . Heat and add dolop of cream and a little sherry .. gives it a nice lift.
serve with cheese and crusty bread.
So tired today and have had headache on and off . Will get an early night , I think.
hugs and kisses xxx

Amsterdam : there are so many versions
@ Tuesday, 01. Sep, 2009 – 13:29:55
Blogetty friends recently returned from adventures in Amsterdam tell their story here and here.
For me this picture by queenemab evokes a song from long ago ; written by Jacques Brel - I first hear this sung by Scott Walker and later by David Bowie
Written by Jacques Brel - Performed by David Bowie
In the port of Amsterdam
There's a sailor who sings
Of the dreams that he brings
From the wide open sea
In the port of Amsterdam
There's a sailor who sleeps
While the river bank weeps
To the old willow treeIn the port of Amsterdam
There's a sailor who dies
Full of beer, full of cries
In a drunken town fight
In the port of Amsterdam
There's a sailor who's born
On a hot muggy morn
By the dawn's early lightIn the port of Amsterdam
Where the sailors all meet
There's a sailor who eats
Only fish heads and tails
And he'll show you his teeth
That have rotted too soon
That can haul up the sails
That can swallow the moonAnd he yells to the cook
With his arms open wide
"Hey, bring me more fish
Throw it down by my side"
And he wants so to belch
But he's too full to try
So he stands up and laughs
And he zips up his flyIn the port of Amsterdam
You can see sailors dance
Paunches bursting their pants
Grinding women to porch
They've forgotten the tune
That their whiskey voice croaked
Splitting the night
With the roar of their jokes
And they turn and they dance
And they laugh and they lust
Till the rancid sound of the accordion bursts
And then out of the night
With their pride in their pants
And the sluts that they tow
Underneath the street lampsIn the port of Amsterdam
There's a sailor who drinks
And he drinks and he drinks
And he drinks once again
He'll drink to the health
Of the whores of Amsterdam
Who've given their bodies
To a thousand other men
Yeah, they've bargained their virtue
Their goodness all gone
For a few dirty coins
Well he just can't go on
Throws his nose to the sky
And he aims it up above
And he pisses like I cry
On the unfaithful loveIn the port of Amsterdam
